Having a hard time keeping his eyes open Kallum started nodding off. He was so focused on staying awake he did not notice the eyes watching them from the nearby trees. Whatever or whomever was out there slowly made it's way towards them being as stealthy as possible. A snapping of a twig alerts Kallum that something is there but it was too late. Something large lept at him knocking him onto the ground. Kallum is fully awake now and was struggling with the furry creature trying to stay away from its open jaw snapping at his head. The commotion outside the tent woke up Myria and the children. The babies started wailing startling the creature attacking Kallum. This gave Kallum an opportunity to attack the creature so he threw a small fireball onto the snout being careful that it faced away from the tent. It jumped away from him and started rolling on the ground trying to put out the bits of fur that caught on fire. Kallum finally had a chance to see what was attacking them. An ash grey adolescent wolf with wounds on his thin body and a look at desperation in its eyes looked back at him getting ready to go back in for the kill. Myria whom was still in the tent chose that moment in time to peek out of the cave and what she saw as she looked out was Kallum with fire in his hand aiming at a young wolf. Her motherly instincts were still in overdrive due to just giving birth "Don't hurt him!" she exclaimed. "Girl this thing is out for blood, why in the world would I give it a chance to harm us by leaving it alive!" Kallum said with exasperation. "It's so young are you sure their is nothing we can do" Myria said in a pleading voice. With a sigh Kallum created a wall around the wolf trapping it. "Their is a way but it wont be easy. It would probably just be easier to end his suffering, it's survival of the fittest you cant save everything that wants to harm or eat us because you pity it." Kallum said sternly. ""I know" she says "Just this once please, just this once." Myria was holding her hands together in a pleading pose looking at him with watery eyes. Kallum lifts up his head looks at the night sky with a face that gave off a feeling of defeat " Just this once, this will not happen again you hear me? Having a bleeding heart will get you killed one day and you have the young ones to think about." Myria nods in agreement with a look of happiness on her face. Kallum transformed back into his fairy form and flew towards the trapped wolf. The wolf was growling, pacing back and forth in the firewall, the back of its fur lifted up in an aggressive stance. He goes through the fire and floats in front of the wolfs face "I know you can understand me, I could feel small flux of magic power coming off of you in our scuffle earlier. I don't know why you are not with your pack or why you are injured but if you want to live you must submit to me and allow me to place s seal on you that will take your life if you even think about betraying me or those I am with." With anger in his eyes the young wolf replies " I would rather die then submit to someone like you" The flame on Kallums hand started getting bigger and bigger scaring the wolf to the point of soiling itself. " I lied, I lied, I'll submit, please don't kill me!!!" A small smirk is seen at the corner of Kallums mouth "Good boy, come over here so I can place the seal." The wolf slowly makes his way over, tail between his legs, head down, and paws sliding on the ground leaving a trail in his wake. Kallum placed his hand on the wolfs forehead and a golden seal in the shape of a star appeared. Shortly after the wall of flames died down leaving black scorch Mark's on the ground. While Kallum was taming the wolf, Myria was taking care of the children then getting a bit of food out for the young wolf. When Kallum and the wolf walked over a little while later she set the food down "Eat up, you are skinnier than I am and I just gave birth." The wolf looked and her and then said "thank you" starting Myria, it was the first time she has ever heard an animal speak. "When an animal is born they have a chance to be bless by their deity. If they are magic flows throughout their body causing them to evolve into magical beasts giving them many abilities. Normally such beasts become the leaders of their pack making this one in front of quite unusual." Kallum informed Myria. "Enough about that for now I will explain it later for now it's time to rest we have a long journey ahead of us" with that said the group settled down once again. Myria and the children inside the tent, Kallum and the wolf outside keeping guard. The rest of the night past uneventfully and soon the sun started rising bringing in another new day.
