Synopsis

She became a dungeon core.

Everything pointed Delta to murdering her way to success. People were just mana farms, right?

No, that was wrong. Delta refused. Then everything became odd.

This is already up on RoyalRoadL, and it is awesome. Everything goes wrong for Delta. Constantly. Yet somehow, she always makes her mistakes work. The story takes place in the town of Durence, where heroes and monsters go to fade away from the world. There is little mana in Durence and without it life just seems gray. Everyone is a little less without it, stuck in routines and barely present, just going through the motions. That all changes when a new dungeon pops up near town, the fresh mana it brings rekindling all the lives that wished to be forgotten. This is a joy to read and I'm always happy to see a new chapter posted.

AN ACTUAL SUMMARY/REVIEW! Also posted on RRL (a.k.a Royal Road Legends), this story has 84 chapters! Therefore, expect quick updates. There is No Epic Loot, Only Puns is the hilarious story of a dungeon core named Delta. If you don’t know what a dungeon core novel is, it’s a story about the main character being reincarnated as a dungeon core/master. If you don’t know what THAT is... you have something wrong with you... but it’s the person who runs a dungeon, spawns the monsters, builds the levels, etc. If you don’t know what a dungeon is- I have nothing to say to you. Summary: Delta “spawns” in near the town of Durence, a place with little to no mans, and everyone is stuck in the same routines. With her arrival, the townspeople start to “wake up” from the influx of mana- except that all of them came to Durence to escape. All of them are powerful figures, who for some reason or another, wanted to leave the greater world and retreat to an unknown town in he middle of nowhere. It was picked for its lack of mana- but Delta is now bringing it back. And Delta isn’t your traditional dungeon core either, not when she’s made a choice. No killing people. Of course, this means no loot, only epic puns! Writing Quality: 5:5 Great grammar, spelling, etc. Stability of Updates: 5/5 Here, it’ be amazing, especially since it has 84 chapters on the original site. Even in the original site, it updates quickly. Story Development: 5/5 No overused cliches, the plot keeps on moving along, no “filler” chapters because everything is interesting. Character Design: 5/5 Wow, just wow. Every single one of the characters are beautiful and unique, from Deo (omg I love Deo) to Grim (I love Grin too) to Nu (best puns, I love Nu so much) and Luna (really I just love them all). World Background: 5/5 No info dumps, we receive the information in a way that feels natural and easy to understand. Scattered throughout, there’s also VERY interesting interludes about characters in other parts of the world. It’s well fleshed-out. Overall: 5/5 An amazing read that breaks from the standard mold. If you hate cliches, this is for you! If you love unique characters, this is for you! If you love puns, this is for you! If you’re at all a good person, READ IT. Easily one of the best reconstructions of the Dungeon Litrpg genre that I've read. It's nice to see Stew moving his story across multiple sites, he deserves more exposure. You're in for a lighthearted treat with this one!

This is an amazing, clever, heartwarming, excellent dungeon core story. Drunk mushrooms, clever gobbles, dancing spiders, and a town full of sleeping legends await. Give it a read, you won't regret it!

An excellent novel, well crafted with colorful characters, many with deep backgrounds full of potential plot stuff. Was so good I had to binge the rest at RR... still left me needing more! Lots of humor and moments where I cracked up, be warned: there be puns

5 stars, 5 stars, 5 stars, only 4 for Updating cause Stewie updates other stories as well. As a writer, Stewie does warm and fluffy crack stories. No, don't deny it, Stew, most of your stories has Chaos (not the 40K one) as an intrinsic or implied element. The premise of this story is ******: a modern woman of our times died, and was reborn as a dungeon core, an artifact that creates dungeon and nurtures monsters, both of which oft requires death or conflict to grow... What is a woman to do? Why, mess around with the system and turn it around, of course! (Meanwhile, in a nearby town... The elderly and dull citizen stirs awake...)

Yeah the story is great. It's funny when it has to be. The MC is a little nutty but it's fine. Go ahead I can safely reccomend up to chapter 20. That's where the story is at when I wrote this I don't see too many grammar mistakes so it's more than legible. I gave it 3 stars update stability because there are only 20 chapters up so take that with a grain of salt. The story goes real well, it reminds me a tad bit of lazy dungeon master without the harem garbage. There's also a little reference about dungeons with inns in them real neat. The characters are well done, they interact with each other outside the mCs view and don't talk about her all the time. It makes them more like people. The world seems fairly fleshed out if a bit realistic almost to the point of being silly. Odd isn't it? Anyway I recommend it, I did almost drop around chapter 6 or 7 where the author took the whole rant MC break down comedy relief way too far but looks like someone pointed it out so he stopped. Yup go for it, I'm on chapter 20 as of review so it's good up to there at least lol.

Most dungeon stories are filled with an abundance of cliches and cringing content. Here in this story you will cringe for an entirely different reason. Puns, glorious puns. If you think this is your typical dungeon story with an easy to predict plot, you would be wrong. Cat in a blender wrong, baboon.

Great story, enjoy the various references, but unfortunately, the translator of this story releases sporadically and either in a huge bulk after a long pause, or releases a few chapters for a few days. Too chaotic for this schedule. Would recommend but not to get super invested too early.
