The title is Fire [img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend] Haven't commented on any novel but after seeing this needed 10 reviews to get rating stars, I'm the 10th reviewer and I am so happy! Yaay

5/5. I really like the novel because of the MC's character is like that of a villain. Since it only has 10 chapters I can't really overpraise it too much but the feeling I got from reading this is like when I first read Arifureta but the mc of this novel is evil and has no morals.
This novel is good and Most importantly follows a LOGICAL PATH., which is quite rare in this genre.
I'm going to be honest and say that the first volume of this novel was actually fire. But from the second volume the MC became way too arrogant and edgy, constantly threatening people, unable to hold a proper conversation with anyone. Maybe it's because of the new magic he got which supposedly mutes his emotions, but I haven't seen even flashes of his previous self. He hasn't thought about his vol 1 GFs (only once in Vol 2 I'm pretty sure) after getting separated, the only thing he has thought about is revenge. Maybe this changes when he finds a solution to his problem or reunites with the original gang, but I will be dropping this for now.
very good novel. I'm really interested in this. and I'll say it again if only the author will keep on writing it without giving up.
did not like it much, way too much plot armour and some contradictory actions from mc

This novel had something special—a pulse, a promise, a soul. I was fully invested from the start. The world was immersive, the characters had weight, and the MC—the very reason I stayed—mattered. I would’ve given it a 7 out of 10, not for perfection, but for heart. It had vision. It had spark. But now, here in Volume 3, it feels like that spark’s been smothered. The soul is gone, replaced by a hollow shell of what it once was. The protagonist—the emotional anchor of this journey—is barely present anymore. It’s like he’s a drop of water lost in a stormy sea, swallowed by everything but his own narrative. You sidelined him. You pushed him out of his own story. And for what? To flood us with endless backstory, parallel subplots, and historical exposition no one signed up for? The pacing has collapsed. The emotional rhythm is dead. What used to be a character-driven epic now feels like static—loud, directionless, and empty. I even paused my reading, thinking maybe the burnout was on me. Maybe I needed time. But I returned only to find the same aimless noise, the same weightless chapters. Now, reading feels like a chore. I scroll. I sigh. I keep scrolling, hoping to care again—but the magic’s gone. And that hurts. Because I rooted for this story. I believed in it. Watching it spiral like this feels like witnessing a masterpiece being picked apart by the very hands that built it. The writing is still functional, but the storytelling? It's lost in self-indulgent world-building with no emotional payoff. You didn’t just sideline the main character—you severed the reader’s connection to the story’s soul. And once that’s gone… what’s left to hold on to? Please. Go back to what made this story matter. Reignite the heart that drew us in. Because right now, you’re not telling a story anymore—you’re burying it.
This is my second review as I feel it needed another one….the story can be predictable at times but there’s only so much a human can do to make things unpredictable…Khione needs to come back and once she does this is automatically a 5 star
It’s a good story, worth reading, but it loses our coz things are predictable cliches, at times, and my goddess Khione isn’t back yet either 😭🥹
