Two Days Later

It had been two days since the group had settled within the mountain, which Vycter has yet to learn the name of. The question that rang in his mind though was where were they going to go now? What were they going to do? What was their goal?

Vycter was leaning against the entrance of the cave in thought, one leg crossed over the other, his chin supported by his fist. There were various stances he could take. The people were apparently oppressed by the government and forced to serve against their will. So he could use that to pull a coup, but in order to survive the aftermath he'd have to surrender the world to the impend invasion of his own people.

He could use this position in order to gain governance over the planet, then when he has everything prepared he could try to secede from his home government. His eyes glanced to the sky as he could see the explosions had stopped. Considering there were no dropships coming down, it would appear that his people had retreated.

"At least we're not at risk for invasion," he let out a light sigh as he would turn to look at the girls who were shuffling out of the cave. "Good morning girls," he smirked a bit looking them over.

They were wearing the same clothes he had originally found them in, however he used his inventory to clean them. Even gained some EXP for doing so, which made him rather happy.

"Morning V," Ceilia yawned as she walked over to him and rested her forehead against his arm as she held onto him. Ever since his little exploitation earlier in the week, she had been clinging onto him.

Kayelin stretched her arms in the air, arching her back as she stood on her tip-toes. "Morning Vycter." She said with a half-awake tone as her eyes were barely open to begin with.

Soniya still had her eyes closed as she was using Kayelin as a guide out of the cave. Her eyes slowly opened, her eye lashes creating a bokeh effect with the morning sun raising from the horizon. It was probably around six in the morning, maybe seven.

According to the clock on the mini-map it was literally eight o'clock. Last night he had paid attention to the function shop and found the clock function and immediately added it since it was a free addition. He found that the world had twenty-six hours compared to Earth.

"So… Uh… What are we doing today?" Soniya started to sound like a spoiled brat who was sarcastically asking for a daily agenda.

Vycter stared at her for a few moments, he hated that tone. It sounded like the girl from the hospital room next door who was a spoiled little runt. All she could do was complain about how she wasn't getting what she wanted, even though she kept getting gifts from everyone who visits.

Soniya seemed to notice this and sucked in her upper lip and glanced away with a face of contempt.

Kayelin gave her a worrisome look before glancing over at Vycter for a few moments. "Well, what are we doing today?" She asked assertively, as if picking up where Soniya had left off.

Ceilia wasn't even paying attention to the others, she was just taking in the man's scent before her, burying her face into his jacket.

"I have a few ideas," he started to talk with a light chuckle.

His main idea was a revolt, another idea was to actually make a fake identity through some backwards channels and enlist into the military. Start indoctrinating those who are higher in command and generate a coup. Maybe he could approach officials and 'change' their minds about a war.

The people were in deep need of foodstuff as starvation according to the girls had run ramped throughout the lands of this world known as Veskar. It used to be a government for its people, now it was for itself and its precious resources which didn't feed the mouths of its people.

"For now though we should find a way to find a base of operations in a town. Build an information network. Increase our(my) influence and then execute a plan." He figured the more people he controlled or had by his side, the stronger he would become. He wasn't wrong.

Tapping his chin lightly, he looked down at Ceilia as he let out a soft breath, seeing the air leaving his lips for the first time since he had been breathing through his nose for the most part. He chuckled to himself again before letting out a sigh.

So many firsts were occurring in this life, he could only make him feel warm inside. Even the first time he killed, despite the feeling of minor regret, he enjoyed the feeling of doing something different. Experiences were always something to cherish in some form or another.

'Even if I had been reborn as a fly, I would have more freedom than a hospital bed. Everything I do for now, will be in the name of my freedom.' He spoke in his mind and looked back up to the sky for a moment.

"Expanding our influence… A temporary base of operations? I think I know of a place in a nearby town. There's an abandoned cathedral from the pre-space age that was used by the natives." Kayelin stated with a haughty laugh, her hands on her hip and her chest puffed out as if she knew her shit.

Soniya would look over at her with a head tilted to the side. "Don't the homeless and runaways use that place?"

"That's even better, the start of a network starts with the homeless. A typical uprising in the making," he blew a cloud of air from his mouth before opening his item shop as he scrolled through some of the weapons.

That's when he came across things which seemed all too familiar, weapons from games, movies and fictional novels he had read. It was clear there this system knew of a lot of things that didn't normally exist in this world.

'Type one phaser, not bad.' Purchasing the weapon, an item that looked like a garage opener appeared in his hand. It had two settings, stun and heat which could be used to disintegrate a person in a single shot or knock them unconscious.

Looking at the item in his hand, Ceilia stared at the weapon and arched a brow slightly. "Is that some sort of remote control?" She stared at the buttons for a few moments before letting her head lull back as she looked up at him with a curious glisten in her eyes.

Chuckling, his hand reached forward and grasped the girl's cheek, his thumb gently caressing beneath her eye. "Something like that."
