5. Hunger and fear

Although the door is closed and they were asked to get as far as possible they didn't know where to go and Naruto decided to knock on the door instead of getting away because he was asked to because he doesn't want to accept her and he wants to return even if he gets hit one more time and making his mind he started knocking at the door just to get no response  from the other side and started calling out with tears in his eyes "Granny please open the door we are sorry and we will never disobey you again…."

No matter what and how he begged the door never got opened as he can only beg to get no response from her and continued crying by his side Kazuna who has felt her emotions already knew it is futile so with a sigh he walks beside Naruto and holding his hand says "That is enough brother.  "

"But?" looking at Kazuna who is holding his hand Naruto says with a worried tone when they were losing all hope Kazuna hared someone landing behind them and turning he saw a man who has his face covered in a mask as he shielding Naruto behind quickly asks "Who are you?"

Not caring or pretending to not caring about the way they reacted upon his arrival the masked man said "Follow me ad I will take you guys to your new apartment as the Hokage had ordered me."

Knowing the man is here to guide them to their new home as he had mentioned the name of the Hokage which the old lady ad also mentioned they gave a nod to each-other before following behind him with their little legs while dragging the little things that they got from the orphanage with a sad face.

However, the masked man pretending to never notice it didn't even help them with their things as they were having a hard time following him and had to run so they don't fall behind him by much.

Luckily the apartment wasn't that far and with much effort, they reached the apartment behind the masked man and taking long breathing.

After they reached the apartment they saw a single room apartment with two beds and two tables with some more furniture as well where they will be able to put their clothes and necessary things.

After looking at the apartment, they had only one thought, what are they going to eat?

After all, they are hungry right now although Naruto didn't have enough courage to ask that to the stranger however Kazuna is not going to get shy or afraid when it comes to their servile and directly asks "What are we going to eat? "

"You don't have to worry about it kid because someone will deliver your regular necessity. " After finishing his explanation the man with the mask went out of the house.

(The masked man is an Anbu)

Not long after the masked man left the kids alone in the apartment they heard the doorbell ringing as Kazuna opening it saw a man with a different mask than the previous masked man standing outside with a small bag in his hand as he asks "Can I help you?"

"I am here for the delivery." not wasting much time in useless taking the masked man left after handing the bag to Kazuna's hand.

"What did he gave you brother?" finally after the masked man left Naruto asked from the corner of the door.

Opening the bag Kazuna saw two boxes and opening a box he saw a box of milk and bread inside then said with a smile "Food. "

After eating breakfast the two brothers left the house ro play.

As the area they are in right now is new to them they only decided to get familiar with it and when they felt hungry they returned to their new home with an empty stomach and found the same masked man waiting for them outside and the moment they arrived not even saying anything he vanished after handing them a bag like a morning.

After they are their lunch Naruto said with a sad face "I am not full yet, I need more, I am hungry."

"I am also hungry." Kazuna also agreed with him while looking at the empty plate.

"Why did they gave us so little food? " Naruto asked with anger.

"I don't know. " Kazuma said with a sad sigh looking at his plate.

After that, they went out with a half-filled stomach and starter discovering the other side they went in the morning but after a few hours, they couldn't take it anymore as Kazuna suggested "Brother why don't we return to the Granny and ask for some food? "

"I was also thinking about the same thing but what if she gets angry at us?" Naruto said in worry.

"I think it is better to get bitten than staying hungry " Kazuna said with a serious face looking at Naruto.

"Then what are we waiting for? " Naruto said with a smile as they started running towards the orphanage from where they were thrown out in the morning.

"Brother where is the Orphanage?" coming in front of the place where they are familiar with and left this morning asked Naruto in confusion.

"I swear it was here in the morning." Kazuna said with as much a confused face as Naruto.

"Then where is it?" Naruto is in despair looking at the empty grassland before his eye.

"I am not dreaming am I?" Kazuna asked in shock looking at the grass field when he felt a burning pain in the face and asks with anger turning towards Naruto "What are you doing? "

"Did you feel the pain?" Naruto asked with a serious face.

Hearing him Kazuna gave a strong punch on his head making Naruto cry in pain "What did you do that for?"

"Did you feel pain?" Kazuna asked with a smile.

"Of course I felt the pain you hit me in the head." Naruto shouts back at him in full of anger.

"So did I." Kazuna said in agreement.

"See this is not a dream and the orphanage is missing " Naruto said smiling at Kazuna.

"Couldn't you just pull your face if you want to find out?" Kazuna said in anger.

"but that way I would feel pain." Naruto replied with a serious face.

"That's the point stupid." Kazuna said with an angry face before shaking his head then turning to the grassland continued "Besides we need to find the orphanage since we have lost our way. "

"Bro we haven't look at that tree which we had planted last year." Naruto announced pointing at a small tree that is only a few meters bigger than them.

'Do you think I didn't notice it?' Kazuna asked in frustration before following Naruto while thinking 'It is just I didn't want to believe it. '

As soon as they arrived in front of the tree they heard someone shouting from the back "What do you think you are doing on my property get away from my tree???~ "

Getting yelled at so suddenly the brothers got startled and quickly moved away from the tree and turning back they saw a middle-aged man running towards them with a fierce face and gh has a wooden stick in his hand.

"We are sorry if we have done anything wrong Mr?" Kazuna says with a pitiful tone looking at the man as Naruto hides behind him in fear.

"No harm is done so it is alright." the middle-aged man says shaking his head after surveying around the land then turning to the children asked in a serious face "However I need you to explain what are you doing on my property?"

"We were looking for our home." Naruto says from behind Kazuna.

"I see." says the middle-aged man with an understanding nod then looking at them closely asked "So you guys are lost?"

"No we are not lost and as long as I remember the Orphanage should be around here." Kazuna says with a serious face looking at the stranger's eyes as he can feel something wrong with the man.

"Orphanage here." as if he has heard something funny the stranger says pointing at the land beside him then with pressed laughter he continued "Sorry kids you are in the wrong place if you are looking for your orphanage because as much as I remember there wasn't an orphanage here from the time I bought this place and it has been more than 5 years.

And looking for you I can't think of you being a day older than 3to 4 years.

"So you are in the wrong place. "

"No way… " Naruto says in despair as Kazuna looks at the man with a serious face as if he wants to see through the man as he asked with anger "What are you looking at?

Do you want me to clear your mind?"

If it was only Naruto who has come here or lead the two we assume he might have made a mistake however that is not the case as the person who brought them here is Kazuna who has a clear mind of the place where he has been living for almost 3 years and he can never make such an error but the look on the stranger made it clear as he held Naruto's hand and started walking as Naruto calls out in confusion "Brother?"

"We need to leave there is nothing here for us anymore." Kazuna says with a deep sigh as they left the compound and soon got mixed in the crowd.

Not long after the two brothers left the old lady of the orphanage arrived beside the middle-aged man to ask "They might have needed something which is why they came here to meet me. "

"To become a strong shinobi you need to have a strong base from the beginning." Suddenly the middle-aged man got covered in white smoke and the next moment Sarutobi Hiruzen came out of the smoke.

"If that is your decision of moving the orphanage then I am powerless in doing anything Lord Hokage." the old lady says in a sad tone.
