*I'm so worried for the archery competition, my gods. I have the last two hour training today and I'm really worried that I'll miss just like every shot. Because of examinations, Tuesday training is cancelled and I'm not even ready yet!
"Oh, that's easy. Just breathe calmly (A: Easy for you to say, when you're nearing the time of doom, but then again, this is a story about powers and elements and training, so the heck am I talking about? My argument is invalid. Anyway,)
"Meditate about ten minutes per day and you're just, good to go, I guess. Your psychic powers will go up like crazy, trust me. Well, it works for me, at least."
"Wait, thats all? No big secret or anything?"
"What did you expect? Some life changing event? Some wholesome, weird secret? Sorry to disappoint, but that's the fastest way to increase your powers. I'll teach you how to control them after two days."
"Uhm, okay, I guess." Xuanmei replied, feeling slightly awkward.
"But first, place your hand in mine. I need to understand your level, your potential, and your learning style."
Moving her hand into Yuxuan's palms, she could feel a small sliver automatically flow out from her fingertips.
Well, it didn't feel painful at all, no. It just felt...
Weird.
As Xuanmei squirmed, Yuxuan watched the girl with a raised eyebrow.
"What the hell, does this girl have social anxiety or is she just squirmish?"
Oh, and trust me. Xuanmei wanted to say that it was both, really badly. Capitalisation on the 'really', because she did actually say it.
Of course, being an assassin literally screams 'no social life' because of constant evasion. And, well, constantly having to lie low gives you either both of those problems, or one or the other. Take your pick!
Oh wait, you can't, because you're stuck with both now. Too bad, I guess.
"Not bad for a fire majoring lady."
"So, basically you have to..."
The whole room shook two hours after that damned phrase.
Xuanmei knew that it was safe to say, after that 'lesson', which, by all standards, is no better than a tea party with Satan himself, at least she still improved. Quite a lot, actually.
Xuanmei would rather not go into the details, of course, to spare you the annoying explanations.
(A: But of course, im not Xuanmei, so of course) Basically, though, let's say she had to try to lift herself, then try to lift both herself and Yuxuan. Then comes lifting the whole room. That's right. That's why the room shook.
It took a while, (A: Two hours, i could've practiced my shooting with that-) but she managed to get it done.
Yuxuan's parting words?
"See you tomorrow!"
"Oh, I'd rather not." Xuanmei groaned miserably.
*If you're curious, I am a recurve archer, and oh my gods I am just so done with the thirty meter target boards and those small target faces. Two days til my impending doom. I'm not ready!
