Vincent had showered and gathered his things and went out the door and to work. He worked at a well-known restaurant as a waiter, for an experience to reference. As usual, he entered through the back door where he was greeted by his fellow co-workers "hey Vincent!" Greeted one while Vincent made his way to the changing room. A few minutes after, he's in his uniform and ready to start his shift.
As soon as he walked to his station the bunch of girls who would always wait for him squealed as they whispered to one another, the girls waved at Vincent, signaling him to take their order.
" hello Vinnie~" a girl giggled as Vincent kept his composure, smiling kindly at all of them, making the girls fangirl, "good evening, ladies. What can I get for you?" Vincent asked warmly, they all said their orders, each adding a flirty comment at the end of it. Vincent walked to the kitchen window and clipped the order, a male co-worker waltzed up to him, an indifferent expression on his face.
" still as popular as ever, huh, Vincent?" Vincent smiled shyly, he had no idea how he'd become popular, but it didn't matter. It was a normal shift as it could be by his standards.
Davin stepped out of his room, feeling hungry. " Well... why not?" Davin said out loud, making his decision. Since he didn't really feel like making his dinner, He decided to eat out. Davin eventually found a nice restaurant, it had good reviews and it was near him.
Davin put on a hoodie, took his phone and wallet and walked to the restaurant.
When he stepped in the restaurant, his ears were filled with cheerful chatter and acoustic guitar playing the background. He took a seat in a booth where he could see the kitchen window and waiters station from, he picked up the menu and browsed through the pages.
after flipping through, he decided on a pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad, he put his hand up, signaling for one of the waiters to come and take his order, while still looking at the menu, looking over it.
Coincidentally, this was where Vincent worked.
Vincent was the waiter that went to his table.
Vincent didn't pay attention to the familiar curly hair and went on with his routine.
" good evening, sir. what may I get you?" Vincent said in the most cheerful voice he could muster, smiling warmly.
Davin's shoulder tensed up a little from the familiarity of the voice, was it who he thought it was? Davin looked up from the menu and looked at the waiter. Davin smiled, confused and bewildered that his guess was right.
At least it seemed that Davin wasn't alone in his confusion, Vincent had been in what seemed like a daze, a slight shock of what was happening at the moment. They stared at each other, confused at the situation.
Many things were going on in Vincent's head,
'did he follow me...?' Vincent asked himself internally, he finally broke the silence with a smile, " are you a stalker or something?" teasingly asking davin as he grinned, Davin grinned a grin that matched Vincent's, giggling softly as he picked up the menu.
" no, but I would like to order." He responded with playful sarcasm.
Vincent went on with the ordering Shtick and got the order. They talked a bit until Vincent finally went to file in Davin's order.
As he waited for Davin's order to be ready as well for another customer to seek a waiter, a young female co-worker walked up to him, a smirk on her face.
" You sure did take a long time with him, didn't you?" The smirk now growing into a grin.
Vincent smiled kindly, a slight blush forming
" well, he's my roommate.." explaining a bit vaguely as the female worker nodded skeptically as she was called by a customer.
It was taking quite some time for Davin's older to be ready with the sudden influx of a lot of customers. Every now and then, he'd hang around Davin while there went customers beckoning him to work.
20 minutes or more had passed and Davin's meal was ready, Vincent went tick up the tray and bring it to Davin's order, at last.
" finally! thanks, Vince." Davin smiled brightly as Vincent placed his food down. Vincent smiled just as brightly as Davin, a soft blush on his cheeks.
He went on with work, greeting customers, taking orders, serving food, the whole thing.
Though he did notice that Davin still hasn't left, so whenever there were no customers that were coming in, he'd chat a bit with Davin. Although he didn't ask why he hadn't left. Davin ordered a milkshake, smiling kindly as he checked his phone. It was obvious Davin was waiting for Vincent.
Vincent smiled a bit, appreciating the fact Davin was waiting for him. He passed by a few co-workers and overheard them smiling and giggling about something.
" it's so cute! He's willing to wait for him!" One exclaimed to the other. Vincent wondered what or who they were talking about but he brushed it off, continuing his job.
Davin stayed until the end of Vincent's shift which was 10 pm. Vincent came out fully changed into a button-up paired with a jacket and black jeans.
He looked over to the booth where Davin had resided while waiting for him, he smiled as he walked over to Davin, who was now sipping on a milkshake, and slid into the booth, resting his chin on his palm.
" Did you really wait for me?" He asked, pleasantly amused at the action yet tired from interacting with too many people.
Davin stopped sipping, looked up at Vincent and grinned, " yeah, of course! I thought it'd be better if we went back together!"
Vincent was taken slightly aback by Davin's consideration and kindness, he felt a slight warmth form around his cheeks and a bunch of eyes watching him and Davin.
He didn't care and ignored the stares.
He waited for Davin to finish his milkshake, absent-mindedly looking at Davin's lips from time to time. Once Davin was done, he offered to go home which Davin gladly accepted.
He turned to his co workers waved shyly
" Good night." He said As he was walking towards the door, Davin in front of him. The female co-worker smirked and shouted a response at them, "don't be rough!" Followed by a couple of giggles, the whole staff totally shipped them for sure.
Both Davin and Vincent had a deep blush on them but they ignored what she had said, waking side by Side together.
Vincent thanked the darkness from the night for covering his intense blush that was on his face.
Both he and Davin walked to the apartment together, chatting a bit with some banter.
It was full of smiles and laughs. They arrived at the door and Davin unlocked it, opening the door to Vincent first then walking in after, locking the door.
The stood there talking a bit before noticing the time, I was almost 11. " I think it's about we went to bed..." Vincent suggested while checking his phone for the time, "Yeah, I think so..." Davin responded, smiling softly while stretching a bit.
" good night Davin," Vincent said, waving while walking to the direction of his room.
Davin smiled, a blush forming on his cheeks,
" good night, mio duro Cavaliere funzionante."
He quickly said before entering his room, he blushed intensely before flopping onto his bed,
" well, he won't understand that anyways, what am I blushing about?" He said, thinking out loud.
