Kahoru was confused. She was quite surprised that Takahiro had asked her to stay. "You're joking right?"
"No."
"I'd rather stay at the hospital than stay with you." Kahoru was still embarrassed from the kiss.
"Okay then. You can leave now."
"But the dishes-"
"I'll do them. You can leave."
"Okay fine." Kahoru walked out into the kitchen, grabbed her things and just before she was about to leave, she turned around and glared at Takahiro and pouted. Without a word, she closed the door.
She started to walk down the street and quickly realised that it was cold outside. Kahoru started to shiver and wrapped her arms around her body.
...
After Kahoru had left, Takahiro had finished up cleaning the dishes. He dried his hands with a tea towel and walked into the study. Takahiro turned his computer on and waited for it to boot up. He laid against the seat and he stared at the wall that was across from him. He checked his phone for the time and his eyes widened. It was about 1:30 am. He started feeling guilty and he felt a little sick to his stomach as he realised he made Kahoru leave so late in the night.
Takahiro jumped out of his seat and sprinted out of the house. He ran down the street, desperately looking for Kahoru. After ten minutes of jogging, he spotted a figure. He stopped to take a breath and after a minute, he started to jog towards the figure.
...
Kahoru was walking when she suddenly heard footsteps, quickly tapping towards her. She felt a little anxious and started to speed walk. Still, the tapping became louder and Kahoru turned around to see a man sprinting towards her. She couldn't see his face which freaked her out. Kahoru gasped and started to run. The man has already caught up to her and as he was about to grab her arm, Kahoru turned to dodge the man and hooked in in the stomach. He winced in pain and clutched his stomach.
Kahoru was about to put him in a chokehold until she realised that the man who was running towards her was in fact Kahoru. "Takahiro?"
"Why do you always hit me?"
"Well if you didn't run towards me, I wouldn't have."
Takahiro sighed in frustration and gripped onto Kahoru's arm and started to drag her back to his home. Kahoru resisted and tried to pull her arm back. "What are you doing?"
"Going back home."
"What why?"
"It's late. Have you checked the time?"
"No." Kahoru reached for the phone that was in her pant pocket and checked the time. "Ah, it's almost 2 am."
"Exactly."
"Okay fine. I'll stay the night. Can you let go of me now?"
"Sure."
Kahoru followed Takahiro back to his house and when she walked back into the house, the warm air from the heater immediately warmed up her face.
Takahiro gestured Kahoru to sit on the couch. "Wait here. I'll get your room ready."
"Okay." Kahoru sat down onto the couch. Takahiro quickly walked out of the room and returned with a blanket.
"Use this. You can sleep on the couch tonight."
"What about the room?"
"I changed my mind. You can sleep on the couch."
"Fine."
Kahoru took the blanket off of Takahiro and wrapped herself with it. She laid down on the couch. Takahiro snickered and walked back upstairs.
Kahoru glared at him as he walked away. As soon as she heard the door close, she sighed and closed her eyes. "Stupid Takahiro." She mumbled.
...
It was seven in the morning and Kahoru woke up to her alarm. She sat up on the couch and quickly packed her things up. She walked out of the house and towards the hospital, stopping at her regular bathhouse.
