Gear-Wise, Weakest Player

"Really!?"

The response surprised him. He didn't expect Avia would be so excited about the guild invitation.

He has doubted it actually. The Avia he talked to now was a different person than the first time they met.

And so, he had some mixed feelings towards his personality.

Nevertheless, as a player, there was no way he could doubt it. An excellent ability he showed to him all this time has proven it.

"The guild will start small, but we potentially have a lot of members ready to joins."

"No no no. It doesn't matter. Thanks for inviting me. I'll gladly join."

'Isn't that too easy?'

He realized his value actually. Someone with the only different class, the only unique class in the entire game as of now. And also, someone that brave enough to leads a civilian into a battle, maybe?

But, people should consider it first nonetheless. Or shouldn't they?

Apart from the mixed feelings, he gladly accepted him.

"Okay, there is no contract or anything but, I hope you are aware of the unwritten rule."

"I know, I have not become a part of a guild before, but I am aware of it. I am not a complete newbie."

"Sure, I know. Then, will you still join me on the mainland? Or maybe you have plans with your friends? I can call you later after someone unlocked the guild feature."

These days, people were everywhere and open to anyone.

Real-life or virtually doesn't matter. We could always find friends and join communities.

And for someone who affords who bought the capsule and play the game, there was always a room for them. But, looks like it was different from the guy in front of him.

Arceede noticed the expression change. Avia was flinched by the word 'friend' that Arceede had said, but he pretended not to notice it.

"I will join you. It might be delayed if I am not able to take the exam needed to get to the mainland."

"What do you mean? We will go there together. You are the one who proposed it, remember?"

"Nah, it won't be that easy. We can't even pass through the 3rd wave of the goblin dungeon. And on top of that, a full party of adventurer can't even beat the seventh waves."

"Nah, they will, as soon as the better gear found. And I doubt the trial to be that hard."

"True, but you mentioned it yourself. You are the weakest player in this game, gear-wise."

"..."

It was true. Arceede couldn't deny it. He has shared the problem with 'the appraiser' before and it was indeed a hard wall to break.

The point was to convince 2 more players to carry them. They were experts but compared to a high geared player around, they would only be a dead weight.

One of them was a civilian whose of course weaker stats-wise compared to the adventurer. And on top of that, he couldn't use any combat skills and wouldn't get any bonus stats from the weapon.

The other was an adventurer who was abandoned by his mentor until no one knows.

Honestly, there was an option they both aware of. It was a very high-risk option and with a low chance of success on top of that.

It was to announce the 'First Who Unlock the Inventor'. People wouldn't deny that fact. But, the attention he got will backlash him.

He wouldn't be able to move easily and randoms will request him to a party. He will gain fame but lost privacy. Basically what a celebrity would be. The one he successfully avoided for the current time.

But, it would be the ace card if he was desperate enough. Like what he did with Avia, he used it to attract him.

At that time, he wasn't that tied to Avia and ready to abandon the party anytime. If he was being revealed, he will use his status to play the game like a celebrity with any randoms.

But fortunately, Avia was not revealing anything. He kept it secret and joining the hunt as normal people do.

And since now he was unofficially a guild member and has to bring him to a party no matter what, he couldn't easily attract attention.

"This is hard."

"Actually easy, but we can't recklessly try it."

"I know right."

They were just sitting there, stuck.

The place wasn't that easily visible to anyone outside. Grizram's patrol house was basically their basecamp now.

"If only we can recruit a strong individual like Grizram through the trial. He will surely carry us single-handedly."

"No no, not that royal guard."

Avia trembled at the mention of that name. Fortunately, Arceede didn't like to dwell on such topics.

"Sorry about that. There was no way we could invite him, anyway."

"No no, I just have some trauma."

"I expected it. Let's just hope that the trial isn't as hard as the goblin dungeon."

"It won't likely happen but there is still some possibility."

"Let's walk around. My brother said that I can buy another skill in the merchant."

"Okay."

"Wait, skill!"

"Hm?"

"Yes, skill."

"I mean, I know what that is but, what's wrong?"

"Let's restock the supplies and go to the dungeon once more."

"Can you at least tell me?"

"I will tell you once we are in the dungeon."

They were heading to the merchant area to bought enough potions and other stuff. The necessities of this 2-member party were not much. Could be called the least in the current game.

Health potions and energy potions were a must at any party. The vital supplies to make them survive or at the least, longer.

The difference with this 2-member party was that both of them do not need to buy both types of potions.

One of them was a civilian, who of course, didn't need it. As his only skill, 'appraisal' didn't need energy at all.

And the other was someone who was denied by the system to used energy potion.

"Okay, we are in. Tell me the idea."

They were now have entered the dungeon once more.

"You know what. Gear-wise, I can't keep up with the other for now. But skill-wise, I should have the most."
