Inventor Experiment (1): First Hypothesis

"Transfusion and transmutation huh?"

"Yep. Maybe the Inventor is the only class that has both adventurer and civilian skills."

"But, we can't guarantee that. There is still not enough information about that. We need to get out of this tutorial village to confirm it."

"I know. So, we have 4 hours here. There is some hypothesis here and there I could try."

"And what are those?"

"First, transmute the goblin's weapon. Will it make it my weapon or not? And so, after the owner dies-"

"Okay, I got it. Next."

"Second, Transfuse it with any other material. Will it change the stats?"

Nod.

"Third, will I get bonus stats from the weapon I 'steal'. They said that my weapon is basically the 'blueprint' and so, I want to confirm it."

"Umm, okay. So, how far will we go?"

"Wait, there is another one. Fourth I want to try my skills to things other than materials."

"That is.. a bit absurd.. I guess? Do you want to be a psychopath?"

"..."

"Am I wrong?"

"I didn't think of that but we can try it."

"Damn really?"

"You know, there are potions too. And I don't think it is a part of gear material."

"Okay, just do it then."

Avia pulled out potions from his inventory. Red potions appeared from thin air.

This was the first time after the path trial. He recalled the memory and started using it.

But, before his energy touched the potion, a notification appeared.

-Warning! Authorization Level is not high enough-

"Authorization level!"

"Hm? What's wrong?"

"It said that mine is not high enough."

"Lvl 1? My appraisal is also at Lvl 1."

"Yeah. So, we can guess that we'll be able to do more once it increased."

Goosebump.

Avia next to him has a reaction to it.

"What's wrong?"

"Can you do it on me?"

"Hm? Ah.. shit."

Arceede really tried the transmutation to his companion.

The same notification appears.

"..."

"..."

They both just standing there. Looked at each other.

Goosebump.

"O-okay. Can we ignore the thought?"

"Y-yes. Let's move on."

They continue to go deeper. They were ready for the first wave.

Since the first wave was the easiest, they started to try the first hypothesis.

The first wave was a pathless or classless goblin. They have daggers as their weapon but they didn't have the affiliation with the Adventurer God and so, become the weakest wave in the dungeon.

They left one goblin alive and stole the weapon.

Avia was holding the goblin so it couldn't cause much ruckus. Unfortunately, there was no such thing as ropes in the merchant store.

Arceede on the other hand started to cast his skill.

He began from a minuscule thing such as dulled the sharp edge.

"It is.. I don't know. No such thing like change on the stats."

"But still, I want to confirm it if it really dulled. Any idea?"

Both humans, for some reason, have a synchronized thought.

They looked in the goblin's direction. And looked at each other afterward.

"..."

"..."

"This.."

"I.."

Goosebump.

"This is a game, right? Can we.. just do it?"

"Dude, it is to keep our sanity. What if we are getting used to such things."

"I know. I remember there was news like that too."

"Is there any other way to experiment with this?"

"Ah! I kept track of your health bar. Just give the dagger to the goblin."

"Okay, I get it."

"Block it with your hand."

Nod.

The goblin was set free. And once it got its weapon back, it didn't even hesitate.

As already discussed, Arceede blocked it with his hand and got damage.

Avia quickly grabbed the goblin while Arceede stole the dagger again.

"It reduced! About 20 to 30 percent!"

"Cool! So, this dagger has become about 75% of its original. That was less than I expected but it still good."

"Can you sharpen it again? I want to know if you can do it while in combat."

"Will try it."

The sharpening process was harder than it seems. His full energy was not even enough to sharpen the dagger.

"I think they make this so we will still need the blacksmith for repair."

"Yeah, let's try with the other weapon then."

Avia pulled out a sword from his inventory and gave it to Arceede.

"Let's restore your energy first."

Nod.

They both looked at each other and then looked at the goblin simultaneously.

The goblin was just like that, hopeless as a lab rat.

Fortunately, the mobs so far were all designed with the low intelligent AI that only gave them the instinct to battle.

If the goblin started to have a pitiful expression, who knew what will happen to the community. In addition, the goblin was one of the cutest mobs in the tutorial village area.

Arceede who has recovered his energy point gives the new dagger to the goblin and repeated the almost same process.

The difference was that he is not trying to block it. He is focusing to cast his skill into the equipped weapon.

While dodging the attack, the process was on the way. Part and part starts to blunt.

After quite a time, they concluded the process.

"This is no good enough."

"Harder opponent won't give you chance. And the fact that you need to be weaponless is also hard to deny."

"Yeah, it might be designed for this purpose. If I rely on inventory, the 10 seconds delay will kill me."

"Maybe, we have to grind the skills. I bet the higher the level the faster the process, right?"

"Yeah, but it won't be that effective as long as I can't craft through the blueprint."

"Ah, true."

"Let's just finish this wave."

Nod.

With the blunt dagger still in his possession, he transformed the tube and killed the weaponless goblin.

Unfortunately, the dagger in his possession still followed its master to the oblivion.

"Ah, it is unfortunate. Maybe, we need to transmute it harder."

"Well, the stats did not change in the slightest by the way."

"Yeah, let's try it again in the second wave."
