Under the Sea V

After ten minutes, the thousands of sea monsters that had surrounded the room perished. Their corpses floated around, as Ye Qin opened his storage space to take them all in.

"Once I sell all of this, I'll be able to make some decent money. Unfortunately, I have no use for money. The materials I need cannot be bought with money, and neither does my family require it. I can only buy a house, or invest using the money or even donate it to those in need." he thought.

Shaking his head, he moved forward along with the fire and frost dragon just meters ahead. Going forward, the space was a single corridor along the way, for several hundred meters, or even a few kilometers.

It seemed like the ruins he was in only went straight forward. Rather than being complex or riddled with traps, a long road ahead, filled with countless monsters was much simpler, but at the same time, tougher for an ordinary person.

However, Ye Qin wasn't quite an ordinary person. With his powerful monsters, it was a breeze for him to clear out the ruins, unless he encountered a truly powerful monster.

Whoosh!

From a large open hallway, filled with stone flooring and pillars, a youth called Ye Qin was seen sitting atop a small flood dragon. Around him, a fire dragon and a frost dragon were killing groups of monsters with every passing second.

Everywhere they went, dozens upon dozens of sea monsters were killed in an instant. Upon hearing a sound ring in his head, the two dragons disappeared, as two new dragons emerged, replacing them.

This time, the thunder and wind dragons appeared. Yellow and purple energy enveloped their bodies, as their eyes turned demonic. In the blink of an eye, both dragons were on a killing spree.

One controlled thunder, the other controlled wind. Both dragons excelled in speed, making them much faster than the other five dragons. The thunder dragon was not only fast, its thunder was destructive.

The wind dragon, shredded using its powerful and fast winds. In just ten minutes, the thousands of monsters that surrounded them were gone. They moved forward, continuing this process many times. Eventually, the two dragons leveled up as well.

This time, only a single dragon came out. A dragon that controlled wood. While it was slower than the other six dragons, its defenses were definitely the highest. Bypassing through the monsters, their attacks simply bounced off the scales, killing a nearby monster instead.

It was a tragic sight, seeing monsters killing each other by accident. After another three corridors, the wood dragon leveled up. Now, all of his dragons were of a similar level. Only the Qiulong and Yinglong were a level higher than the rest.

Finally, he made it to a room that seemed to be the last one. The space was many times larger than the others. Many glowing stones were seen, as well as rubble. Even after looking around, and trying to sense something, Ye Qin couldn't find a living being in the room.

It seemed like whatever used to be here, had left for some reason. "I don't know if I'm thinking too much or not, but could it be that whatever was here, is now under the control of the enemy mermen kingdoms? I certainly hope not, or else we may not make it on time." he thought.

Since he couldn't find anything, Ye Qin turned back and headed the same way he came through. Only this time, he went out quickly, while sending a message to his friends.

When they met up again, the Blackgold Python Tiger, as well as the Dark Star Dragon and the Ethereal Moon Dragon had gained a level. In fact, the Blackgold Python Tiger gained two levels. It was now even closer to reaching the requirement to evolve and reach its final form.

It was already powerful currently, he couldn't imagine just how powerful it would be if it were to evolve once again. Without saying anything, the three of them got onto the Yinglong.

In an instant, its entire body along with the three of them disappeared in an instant. From their location, teleporting back to the kingdom would require a large amount of energy at once.

Since they were in a hurry, he didn't hesitate and teleported right away. In an instant, the three of them arrived at their destination. Looking around, it didn't seem like anything had started.

Getting off, they entered the palace and met with the mermen king. "Your majesty, we've returned." Ye Qin said.

"En, you are back much earlier than I thought. Did you check them all? I hope you made some gains." the mermen king replied.

"Yes we have made some gains, however, your majesty; I have something to discuss with you." Ye Qin added.

"I see, guards, leave at once." the guards followed the king's instructions, leaving the throne room. "Speak, what is it that you must talk to me privately?"

"Your majesty, we explored most of the ruins. During the last few, I found a huge room, lingering with a strong presence. However, it was nowhere to be seen." Ye Qin reported.

The king frowned, stroking his beard, he replied; "You mean to say that the missing monsters could be under the control of the enemy? While it is true that they had allied with another force, to be able to pull off such a feat would require much effort and wealth. I will prepare in case your prediction is right, but I don't think they can pull it off."

"En, there is little time left. I have a plan, I don't know if your majesty would be interested?"

"Oh? Please, I would love to hear your opinion."

Within a large kingdom, that was under the sea, the people were busy moving around. Children stayed at home with their mothers and the elderly, while the men carried various things on their shoulders.

They swum around at a constant pace, forming two rows that moved in sync. A row moved in to collect the items, while the other row went out to move them before the cycle continued.

Outside that very same kingdom, a young man was seen standing quietly while looking at a map. His expression was serious, as he stared intensely at the map without even blinking.

Moving his hand, some pieces made of small coral and shells, that represented people; were moved around the map, formulating a plan within the young man's head.

The young man was Ye Qin, looking at the map, one could see a rough piece that resembled a tiger, while the other resembled a small dragon. The tiger was on the right, while the dragon was on the left.

The tiger represented Wang Tao's location, while the dragon represented Long Bing Rong's. After a discussion with the mermen king, the two of them left towards the other kingdoms to provide aid.

Of course, they came with a token that presented the mermen king, otherwise, they wouldn't be welcomed into seafolk lands. Judging from the map, he had long memorized if after having a quick glance.

From there, he created battle plans within his mind. From the discussion with the king, he asked for siege weapons to be built. While it may have no effect on monsters, they can still deter the enemy seafolk.

Since a war would take place, it was inevitable for deaths and casualties to occur. From a trebuchet to a catapult, to ballistas and siege towers. Fences made of coral, as well as a special kind of wood that only grew in the sea, was used, surrounding the entire kingdom.

After picturing a number of plans, he could think of the most probable plans of attack that the enemy may use. One was to send out troops to march against all three kingdoms, before sending out monsters that they may control, another be that the monsters would go in first, letting the troops come behind to clean up.

There was also a possibility that there were no monsters, and only troops would attack. Of course, this was only on the first day. He also predicted what the enemy may plan on the forthcoming days as well.

Sending a message, he received two replies telling him ok. With this, everything was set in motion. Now, they only awaited the enemy to attack. While they could be the ones on the offensive instead, it was more advantageous to be on the defending side.

However, if they were overwhelmed, this advantage would turn over and disadvantage them instead. Let's say that the soldiers and their families were trapped inside the kingdom instead, with no way of getting any food. It would then become a battle of attrition, to see who's supplies lasted longer.

It was a common thing in warfare. There have been many such examples since the ancient past, where many wars were fought. At the same time, many heroes arose from the era, becoming famous to this day.

Seeing everything was going well, Ye Qin left and headed into the palace, inside his room. He shortly fell asleep for the night and got up early the next morning. After breakfast, he went outside to check on the progress.

Judging from the rate, it seemed like everything would be complete before the end of the week. He had thought of helping out but decided against it. With his strength as a human, there wasn't much he could do. His dragons weren't delicate enough for handling such work either.

All he could do was sit around and wait. Within a short span of time, he would experience his first warfare. In this age of advanced technology, it was unthinkable for someone to participate in warfare.

Even the greatest of trainers traveled to the Monster realm to battle. Never would they ever experience warfare in their entire life. In such an age, Ye Qin who was still young would soon experience warfare that only those who did so hundreds and even thousands of years ago had done so.

As he sat down, he continued staring at the map. The map covered a wide area, surpassing even the four kingdoms. However, it didn't reveal the allies of the enemy's side. In fact, the mermen king didn't know such information either. The areas that weren't mapped, were all part of the uncharted area.

With their strength, there was no way the seafolk would head outside of the charted area. It also meant for more unexplored treasure that may be found, his eyes glistened at the thought of it.

He also wondered why the seafolk never tried to tame the monsters. If they all banded together, even weak monsters could be tamed, if not the more powerful ones. After all, the seafolk was much faster, stronger, and more durable than humans.

While the sea monsters were stronger than those on land, that only applied to the truly powerful monsters. The low level and weak monsters were roughly the same, whether on land, or the sea.

Ye Qin was also in just a small part of the sea. The planet was quite vast, the entire land had yet to be explored, but he was already thinking of exploring the great seas, which were more dangerous, but held more riches and experience.

Standing up, he summoned the flood dragon and sat on its back. It went straight ahead with a single word from him. What was Ye Qin doing? Exploring, of course, he had to make sure the map was correct, or up to date.

If the map was wrong, or outdated, it could have an adverse effect on his plans, as well as the outcome of the battle. Even with his dragons, there was no guarantee that he would win. There was no sure outcome in warfare, anything could happen.

A hero could emerge, and also die at the same time. As such, he had to make sure everything was as he had seen. The flood dragon rushed out, going to every important point on the map. Only after making sure everything was fine, did Ye Qin return.
