Chapter 3: The Moon Goddess Temple

I woke up in a wide circular room. The stone walls are engraved with symbols much like that of hieroglyphics, Crystals are embedded on the floor forming a crescent moon.

"Im still hallucinating huh?"

I tried to stand up but someone is holding me down. I realized Kate was hugging me and was drooling on my shirt. She's still unconscious.

"Elf-sama, let me nibble on your ear ehehehehe," she's talking in her sleep.

"Wake up you indecent woman!" I shouted. My voice echoed through the stone walls as I hear footsteps rushing towards us.

"Keep it down will you? No need to shout. " Kate said.

She then rubbed her eyes and wiped off the drool left on her right cheek. I pushed her away and stood up to defend myself.

"You are finally awake."

King Estes emerged from one of the Stone walls as if the wall was not there. He's followed by a female elf around my height. The atmosphere suddenly changed when I saw her bow, and the glowing arrow she aimed at me.

"Miya, don't frighten our Saviors."

The elf Archer then lowered her weapon. She's elegant in her every move. Her muscles don't tremble while pulling the strings on her bow. She's a beauty like no other. Save for the bloodlust she gave off a few moments ago.

"You must be hungry after sleeping for a couple of days. Please, follow me to the great hall. I'll explain the situation while we feast."

"Elf-sama!!!! Let me touch your ear!"

I only saw Kate's silhouette rushing in front of me towards King Estes. She's incredibly fast for her size.

The king suddenly brought out his feather pen and slashed through the air behind Kate. The feather stopped mid air as if it hit an invisible wall, the sound of the impact echoed through the walls. Kate froze in terror.

"Miya! I told you not to frighten our guests! Stand down!"

I noticed the female elf behind the king was gone. A few moments later, she slowly emerges behind Kate aiming her bow at Kate's head. King Estes' feather pen stopped the arrow in the air, it falls to the ground shortly after and vanishes.

"Ahhhh!!" I screamed. "What just happened!"

Kate slowly looked back as King Estes withdrew his hand. The Archer looked down on Kate with clear murderous intent.

"woaaahh! Pretty!" Kate adored her beauty. "Are you King Estes' Queen?" she asked.

The bloodlust in the air vanished as the Archer evidently blushes.

"Wha... what are you talking about!?" The Archer collapses on her feet and covers her face with both hands.

"Enough playing games Miya, these people are the Saviors who came from another world."

"What just happened!" I yelled again.

"Relax, It's one of Miya's skills, she can turn invisible for quite some time. I heard she learned it from the best assassin of the Moniyan Empire." King Estes explains as he lends a hand to Miya who was still covering her face.

"Come, let's head to the great hall." says the king while slamming his other hand onto Kate's face, who was trying to reach for his ear.

"Kate, let me talk to you for a sec," I demanded. "What do you think of all of this? People turning invisible? that Archer's arrow disappeared the moment it touched the ground. "

Kate laughs uncontrollably, "Are you not supposed to be the smartest student in the country? Think logically! We are transported to another world with elves and magic and disappearing arrows," she continued laughing at me.

"What part of that is logical! I'm probably just hallucinating!"

"That, you are not. Sorry for eavesdropping, but I assure you, you are not hallucinating. This is all real, you'll know once you talk to the Mood Goddess, Elune." says the king.

I hear a faint footstep from the opposite direction. The softness of the sound sent shivers down my spine.

I ignored what i heard as nobody was in that direction. "Moon goddess? "

" You'll know her when we get there."
