Avalon and the Trial
While the trio began their ticket ripping stuff Shawn was wondering what happened to cultivation, it was in this world! Should he cultivate it? should he learn more about it? Is it still around? What does it mean to cultivate in this realm?
Shawn questioned the system in his mind, "So what is cultivation in this world?"
[Exactly as host thinks, It is the cultivation of ambient energy to strengthen oneself in both mind and body, and sometimes soul,]
"Okay... Why haven't I heard of it?"
[Host the Cultivation world has died out there are very few left who use it,]
"Is there a downside to using it?"
[Other than it being a hard road... no, but it is extremely hard to do nowadays with the lack of QI,]
"One more thing... why are you so capable? I believe I asked for a small yet capable system..."

Divine being - Hey so it seemed boring to make a small system and frankly It seems more fun to give you this guy! you didn't strike me as the type who would abuse it anyway so have fun and now you don't have to worry about rules and stuff this is your 'do whatever I want' card so enjoy it!

"If you need to speak to me just use telepathy or the like!" Shawn Suggested
*Very well, That was getting annoying for me anyway, Look, kid... Cultivation is one of the many ways to become a God and I want to see that happen... So I made sure to give you all the best things you would need to start unless you want to create some heaven bending one with the system...*
"No, That's boring I'll find one I'll enjoy and use that it may further my control after all,"
*Very well kid it is your choice, Personally I would recommend the Elemental one which only those with affinities to all the elements can use, It will temper your mind, body, and soul at the same time, the Only downside is it takes longer to cultivate, the good news on that it is your foundation will be very strong*
"So you just want to be entertained? well, whatever you do you... By the way, did you stop time or something?" I asked noticing the absence of movement and sound,
*Indeed don't worry about it though everything will jump back to normal in about ten seconds,*

The World Refocused after the light died down, Him and Annabeth were seeing spots while Will look unfazed,
"You guys good?" Will asked
"Yeah... Are we... Are we really here" Annabeth asked,
"Yeah! This is real!" Will confirmed
"Hush no yelling! we don't want to set off any lingering traps, Be careful where you step and be careful... In general, I guess," Shawn whispered roughly,
"He's Right The Avalon natives loved traps... like a lot..." Annabeth explained,
"Sadly it's true..." Shawn nodded,
"It was safer outside wasn't it?" Will asked,
"Most definitely!" Shawn agreed enthusiastically,
"Ah... Putting your head in the mouth of a lion ans asking it not to bite right after meeting it... Fun," Will quipped,
"That really sums this situation up, I like it," Shawn laughed
"Indeed," Annabeth said with a smirk,
"So where do you think we are?" Will asked
"Well we're on a serious tilt but I'd say lower class Housing areas,"
(Okay so Avalon is almost completely on its right side so everything is weird as they're standing on walls, not the floor...)
"This tilt is going to make it hard to get this done..." Annabeth mumbled,
"That's not our biggest problem, the Traps are for now... we need to try and find the flame, Annabeth what are you thinking?" Shawn asked
"Center is probably the most dependable and hardest to reach spot," She said,
"Agreed" Will nodded
"Then let the search begin!" he said in a louder whisper,
It took nearly 30 minutes to an hour to arrive at the center in the middle was something that stood out to me, A large crystal the same type as the one on the necklace, "Give me the necklace I have an idea!"
Annabeth gave him the necklace and Shawn used the flame to power it up again, it began to point to the crystal and tug towards it, Soon it was yanking as it dragged him to it but Shawn stopped just short, If he was right then this was about to get rather... hot,
He let the necklace go and watched it soar to the place it wanted to be and melded back together with it, and it all stood still for a moment before the crystal shattered and a flame the size of a head came out hovering in front of them, "Don't move! This is the selection process" the Flame entered Will and Left to Annabeth, It stayed a little longer in her before hopping to Shawn which it remained for a moment until it let out a steady pulse which sounded like a heartbeat, every pulse was sending its power through him as it began the binding phase,
nearly an hour later Shawn re-awoke to the two eating some chicken as they waited,
"You two look comfortable..." Shawn laughed before entering the final phase of the binding, His body was being quickly tempered by the flame as if burned and healed him tempering him, he began coughing blood as it damaged his lungs just destroying his insides before healing it, His body was torn apart as it healed.
The final phase went on for at least three hours, Coughing he woke up relieved to no longer be in pain,
"Is it over?" Will asked
"I hope... how do we get out of here?" Shawn asked tiredly,
"We had time to think about that and decided to use that," She said pointing to some kind of digging machine that looked like a serpent...
