Kai started to limp behind the enormous Ancient Tree, dazed. He couldn't believe what had happened, it was all so confusing. After all, he was just a 15 year old teen, to him this was crazy.
He continued to limp around the thick Ancient Tree, leaving a bloody trail behind him. Kai looked back at the Cloaked Demon in both horror and disgust.
It was eating the Smaller Demon.
He looked away in disgust, disregarding the demon's feast. He had only one priority now,
to escape.
There was nothing else he could do, this was the opportunity he was waiting for. No matter what, if that demon caught Kai he was dead, going to be eaten.
He had no idea why the Smaller Demon didn't eat him, but decided to ignore it. He was now behind the Ancient Tree, looking at his surroundings.
Around him was several large Ancient Tree's, similar to the one he was hiding behind. His entire right side was torn apart, no longer healing as they use to.
The Smaller Demon is dead, now Kai's healing will no longer affect him, along with the pain. The healing the demon afflicted on him not only healed him, but also minimized the pain slightly.
Now that he was free of the demon, his body ached in pain and shock. Kai threw up.
Bloody vomit and animal skin, along with several organs from animals spewed out from his mouth.
Disgusting.
Kai was on his knee's as he threw up, his entire lower body felt weak. After a minute or so of throwing up, Kai stood. He looked over the Ancient Tree and noticed the demon still feasting on the dead demon.
This was his chance, he dare waste this precious time on throwing up? Stupid. Kai limped past the Ancient Tree's and walked through the forests, leaving the Cloaked Demon behind.
Before Kai's demon had died, his body was healing at a very fast rate. His demon was healing Kai, wanting him to get away from the Cloaked Demon.
Why?
Did the demon have some kind of conflict between the other? Well, that's obviously so, I'm stupid.
Before Kai's demon passed, his right side had healed enough to keep his organs and insides in place, allowing him to at least limp.
It was better then nothing. He looked to the side and spit out a ball of blood, looking determined. He was going to make it, to live. He was determined to not die, this was his one chance to escape from this living hell, and he wasn't going to waste it.
The very thought of the Cloaked Demon consuming Kai pissed him off, the smug face of the Cloaked Demon echoed through his mind, making him furious as he continued limping, passing through the forest.
Kai's face turned back to normal, he was getting mad at something like this right now? This is a life or death situation, I need to get the hell outta here!
He began to run, his skin ripping slightly. This was it, this was the chance. He couldn't stop repeating it in his brain, this is the chance.
Blood dripped from his head, where it was previously smashed against the cave wall. The blood trail he was leaving behind him was thick and disgusting, but Kai didn't have time to hide it.
He had to get away.
There were no animals around him, as they all ran and scattered away from the demons, probably still thinking the demons are still fighting.
Kai's shoes were torn and ragged, he was wearing running shoes. The water from the river could still be heard, waving and drifting through his ears.
rustle, rustle.
Kai quickly moved leaves and branch's out of his way, trying to go as far as possible away. The leaves were a dark and bright green in the center, like a mixture between the two.
The branch's wood were spiral, odd. These Ancient Tree's were enormous and beneficial to him. They gave him a chance to hide if the demon caught up.
Kai looked up at the beautiful view above him. The sky was blocked by the beautiful Ancient Tree's, but the purple light from the sky shined through the tree's, just barely.
He fell.
Kai looked around and hid under a giant leaf. His legs were going numb, it was too much. The rush, the adrenaline pumping through his body, it was too much.
He had to stop, to take a break. His entire body was burning with both sweat and pain. Water dripped from his leaf, onto his face. Kai opened his mouth, sipping it.
His stomach growled, he hadn't been fed properly in weeks. His mouth was extremely dry, despite being force fed water.
Kai glanced over, and saw a hoard of animals and exotic, disgusting insects and animals come to his left, the opposite direction that the demons were in. They must have thought it was over.
Wrong.
Kai stood up, after 5 minutes of resting he felt like going again. The pain in his legs ached as he stood up.
He began walking, no longer limping. The pain faded slightly, but he could walk straight now. The animals around him jumped up from their spot and ran inside their homes.
Their homes.
Something Kai doesn't have anymore, because his stupid teenage ass decided to enter a "HAUNTED CAVE."
FUCKING DUMBASS!
He punched the tree beside him with such force, his fist drew blood. He lifted his fist away and stared, realizing he just caused himself unnecessary pain. He felt so stupid.
Why?
This beamed through his mind like a bullet. Why?
Still walking through the forest, he noticed the many creatures standing outside, staring at him. Another spider with a human head had it's bright blue eyeballs staring at him, in such a creepy way that Kai began to walk faster.
Many of the creatures were the same as his worlds, just...mutated.
Disgusting.
Kai stopped, biting his tongue. He looked beside him, realizing something.
Beside him was the cave, he had been walking towards it subconsciously without thinking. He stared in horror as he saw the Cloaked Demon on top of the cave, crawling and sticking to the walls like a spider, searching for him.
It's long, snake-like tongue was out, spit dripping.
Fuck. No.
Kai began to run the opposite direction, but like the moron he is, the leaves under him made noise. The Cloaked Demon looked up, raising it's long neck through the air, searching for that noise.
But, Kai had immediately ran behind a giant Ancient Tree, hiding under a leaf. This way, even if the demon looked behind the tree, he wouldn't be found out.
Then he realized his terrible decision. As Kai grinned to himself he noticed the blood trail he left behind, showing the demon exactly where he is.
Fuck
Kai's eyes widened as he noticed the Cloaked Demon jumping down from the cave wall, like a ferocious lion jumping down from a rock to eat it's prey.
It's deformed face looked extremely happy. Covering it's mouth was purple blood from the Smaller Demon. As it opened it's mouth the demons teeth were noticeably covered in the same purple blood, and chewed up crystals were stuck in-between them.
It lifted it's long, sturdy neck through the air, seemingly sniffing. The demon got on all fours once again and began to crawl towards the forest.
Towards Kai.
It could smell his blood, ...it could smell his.. blood.
Are you serious? Why didn't it follow my blood trail before? Shit, shit shit! This is the worst situation I could possibly be in. My chance of freedom!
But, Kai was already long gone, he wasted no time running as fast as possible in the other direction once the demon jumped down. No way was he staying to have a tea party with a demon. Hell no.
But, as he ran the leaves under him and the animals around him made loud, excruciating sounds. To him anyway, they were excruciating, as this was his escape, the thought of animals giving him away pissed Kai off more then ever.
As he ran Kai quickly griped one of the animals by the throat and began to choke it in anger, shutting it up.
The animal looked like a squirrel, but it's hands and feet were lizard legs and it's eyes were that of a spider's, multiple of them, staring at Kai.
Kai squeezed it's throat so hard, ignoring it's ugly face as he ran. He then held the creature outwards and threw it's body at a tree.
It's head hit the tree first, exploding on impact. The body fell, as the remaining pieces of the head was stuck through a long, sharp branch, hanging there.
It's spider-like eyes looked souless as Kai ran passed, still pissed about the noise around him.
That was until, everything around him went quiet.
Quiet.
His eyes widened, with both fear and anger. The animals around him hid immediately and shut up. Kai continued to run, huffing and puffing out both blood and air.
Kai looked behind him...
There, Behind him, The demon was jumping from side to side, from tree to tree. It's mouth opened and cracked. It's tongue sticking out, dripping with saliva.
It's wrists twisted and turned in an in-human way as it hit every tree. The demon's pitch-black body and cloak flew back, it was like a bullet as it jumped from side to side, coming closer and closer to him.
Kai's eyes were wide with fear, he began to run faster, his blood boiling and legs aching in pain. His eyes watered, he felt his shoes tearing up and his skin ripping to pieces at his side.
He wasn't going to make it.
