Kai turned his head forward, not wanting to look at the horrid beast behind him. He continued to run, hearing the tree's rattle, and leaves falling to the ground.
Shit
Shit, shit, shit!
Kai screamed in his head, feelings like an absolute fool. He ruined his chance, he was going to be caught and eaten.
His entire body was aching in pain, his skin had already began peeling and ripping open. His legs were exploding with pain and heat.
He started to slow down, his legs slowly giving out after each step.
Every time Kai ran, he got slower and slower, hearing the creaking sound of the demons mouth opening wider and wider.
His head was down, trying to withstand the outrageous pain. It felt like getting stabbed multiple times in the chest, to feel your heart getting pierced.
Kai then thought about how far he'd gotten to freedom. This was his one and only chance. No matter how much he tried to get these words out of his head, he couldn't.
This was his one and only chance.
Kai looked up, analyzing his surrounding. He was currently running through the forest, stepping on sticks and jumping over dead trees.
There were five, very close together tree's a little bit ahead of him. He just had to make it there. Right now, the trees around him were evenly spread out, revealing where he was and where he was heading to.
Kai looked back, something he regretted immediately. Behind him was the demon's long nail-like claws about to grab his shirt. It's eyes were wide open, and it's smile was gaping with happiness.
Kai began to run faster, his legs moving on their own. The shock of the demon being so close to him eased the pain, making it almost nonexistent. Now, all his body was saying,
RUN!
Kai jumped over branch's and dodged leaves as he ran, almost like a professional. His expression was shock, his mouth was wide, and his eyes were even wider.
The sounds of the demon was fading, only slightly. That's when Kai realized he was there, the five tightly close trees.
Kai immediately and simultaneously jumped to the right, straight into the bushes. He began ruffling around in seconds, trying to get the best spot possible to get ready to run again.
He looked back, the Cloaked Demon was lagging behind, looking angry. It stopped, noticing Kai was missing, it stood on all fours as it lowered it's head, smelling the ground.
My blood...
It began to crawl like a spider, leaving a drool trail behind it. Kai just stared in horror as it got dcloser and closer.
But, Kai had already jumped from the bushes and started climbing the tree, or at least trying to. He fell mid-way on the forest floor, but as he did so a small, sharp stick stabbed through his back.
AH! SHIT! SHIT!
The Cloaked Demon looking to the right, only to see Kai yelling in pain, rolling on the forest floor. It stared for a moment then started to get ready to run at him.
The demon sprinted at Kai without hesitation, it's nail-like claws digging into the dirt, and it's slightly-torn cloak flowing back in the wind, as it ran like an arrow being shot from the bow.
Kai however, looked at the demon sprinting at him and stood up, his back dying in pain. He pulled out the stick and scrambled back to stand.
But, it was too late. The demon was right in front of him once he stood. Kai dodged to the left, falling into a bush. It was pitch-black and the moon glistened through the forest.
Kai started to move backwards inside the bush, his back hitting the Ancient Tree behind him. Kai looked behind him, the thick tree was blocking his entire backside.
He wouldn't be able to get away.
The Cloaked Demon flew through the air, and landed the Ancient Tree's trunk perfectly. It's claws sank into the trunk, making the Cloaked Demon's pitch-black body stick to the tree, like a spider on a wall.
It slowly removed it's hands from the tree, crawling down the trunk onto the ground. The demon then removed the other hand and got on all fours once again, slowly crawling towards the bush Kai was in.
The demon suddenly sprinted at the bush like a wild animal, it's entire body shaking from the sudden motion of movement. It's teeth glittered through the moonlight as it's neck twisted backwards, cracking.
There were no animals around them, all hiding in fear of the demon. The Ancient Tree's around them were somewhat 20 meters high. The demon's muscles were enormous too, one muscle almost the size of a man's entire stomach, despite this the demon was insanely skinny.
Kai hid, his back to the tree as he stared at the demon running at him.
Yep, This was the end, all his progress was done for.
He grabbed a random sharp stick on the ground beside him, holding it up, trying to protect himself from his potential killer.
The Ancient Tree that covered the bush had a giant, thick tree branch that covered it, almost like a small wall. Kai only got in the bush because he pushed his skinny body through it, as he was small enough to fit.
The demon finally reached the bush and jumped through the air, falling straight on top of that branch.
Pounce! Scratch, scratch....
The Cloaked Demon had lifted it's hands and started to scratch and bite the branch, trying to get through it.
It's body was skinny, but it was too tall to make it through the branch. Atleast, on 2 legs.
It bent down, and started to crawl around the thick branch, it's long fingers cracking at every movement, and drool dripping through the cracks.
The Cloaked Demon got tired after a couple of seconds of crawling and had a cracked frown. That frown turned to anger, which then turned to satisfaction.
The Cloaked Demon jumped off the branch and ran back, it then stopped. It's claws stabbed through rocks, digging clean holes through them.
The demon then got ready and ran at the branch, trying to break it.
BOOM! BOOM!
It continuously ran it's body into the branch, it's entire body not even in flinching at every hit.
BOOM! BOOM! crack!
Kai stared as the entire bush and branch shook, he was curled up in a ball, scared shitless. But, Kai uncurled his legs from the ball and lifted his sharp stick.
The Branch Cracked.
The Cloaked Demon stopped, and ran at the branch once again, but instead of hitting it, the demon jumped on top of the branch. The hole in the branch was just enough for the demon to stick it's hand through, and it did so.
It stuck it's fresh, bloody hand into the bush. It's wrists started to go crazy, turning and cracking as it tried to grab Kai.
Unfortunately for the demon, Kai was at the very back, simply staring at the demons hand twisting and turning to try and grab him.
Kai lifted his stick and stabbed it's hand. But, the demons hand was like a hard rock, the stick broke in two as the hand tried even harder to grab him.
He quickly grabbed the two pieces of stick, he only needed the sharp side. Kai threw the other non-sharp side through the branch.
The demon stopped, and lifted it's hand out of the hole. It began to get both hands and tried to tear it open. The branch moved slightly.
The Cloaked Demon was pissed. It opened it's razor sharp teeth and began chewing and scratching at the branch until the hole was big enough to fit the demon's head.
Shit.
The demon had opened the branch even wider. It stuck it's hideous, disgusting face into the hole.
Kai, mortified, just stared once again, the previous pain he felt diminished as fear spread over his entire body and mind.
It's face was facing the opposite of Kai, it's pitch black head covered in blood. That's when Kai saw it.
Hair.
Black hair was on the demons head, greasy, bloody, moldy black hair grew on this things head. It's head moved left and right, the leaves getting in it's face.
Kai lifted his stick, as it's head slowly turned.
crack!
Suddenly, it's entire head went backwards, twisting, and making a deafening cracking sound. It was like a owl turning its head completely around, but this was different.
Blood dripped down it's twisted neck as it's face stared at Kai, it's dark, red eyes wide open staring at him. It's crooked and cracked smile appeared on it's face. The demon slowly started to move it's head back into place, where you should be.
Kai was horrified, but manage to lift his stick and stab it's eye.
SCREEEEEEEECHHHHHH!!!
The demon's mouth opened and it's horrible screamed echoed through the forest. It's razor sharp teeth revealed itself as the demons entire body on the outside started to move, trying to get it's head close enough to bite Kai.
It's twisted, backwards head got closer and closer, it's look of deep hatred echoing through Kai's mind. This was like a bad dream, a very, very, bad dream.
A Nightmare.
Kai's entire stick was stuck into it's raging eyeball. His hand was still holding the stick, which he quickly pulled back, getting ready to stab the other eyeball.
But, instead of the stick releasing the eyeball, Kai pulled the entire eyeball out of socket, as he held the sharp stick with the demons entire eyeball stuck to the tip.
Kai dropped the stick, as the demon screeched again, it's other red eye staring down at it's useless eyeball.
Kai simply stared at the stick, petrified. Despite being completely torn out from the demon's head, the eyeball was moving very slowly, as if still functioning.
That was until the pupil of the red eyeball suddenly moved, staring straight at him, glaring. Kai quickly grabbed another stick beside him, getting ready to stab the other eyeball.
The Cloaked Demon's head was twisting back into place, blood dripping down from it's neck. The entire head suddenly turned back into place, and it began to pull it's head out of the hole.
It had released it's head before Kai could stab the other eye. The demon began screeching, as the eyeball inside the bush just glared at Kai, blood splattered all over the stick.
The tip was going straight through the eye and pupil, yet it still moved, the red pupil glowed through the blood.
Kai tried to go back more, but the Ancient Trees trunk blocked him, as he sat there, the eye staring at him.
The demon began rampaging it's body at the branch again in anger, trying to make the hole wider.
And it was working...
The hole was slowly breaking and becoming bigger, almost big enough to put it's entire arm through.
Suddenly, the rampaging stopped, and a long, pitch-black hand flew into the hole, grabbing the eyeball like a rocket.
Kai peered through the branch to see the demon standing on two legs, shoving the bloody soaked eyeball back into it's head.
Disgusting.
Once the eyeball was stuck into it's head slightly sideways, the demon look down at the branch, it's sideways eyeball's pupil suddenly moving back into place, no longer sideways.
It was now back to how it was originally like.
Kai then looked at the sky, it was almost morning, still black out, only little light showing. The demon looked up, looked pissed.
Immediately after looking into the sky, the demon stuck it's long, nasty leg into the now wide open hole. It's knee twisted as it tried to stick it's entire body into the hole.
The other leg was placed into the hole, twisting the same way.
It's long body was starting to stick into the hole also, but it didn't fit.
Crack! Slice!
Kai looked through the branch again, to see the entire upper side of the demons body cut off. It had used it's sharp claws to cut the upper part of it's body, including the bone.
The cut off upper body slammed on the floor, as the lower body crouched down, finally inside the bush. Kai was mortified as he stared at the now bloody bush, with a horrible bottom half of a demon laying there, coming closer to Kai.
The lower-half moved closer and closer, until finally it stopped.
That's when Kai realized, the other half was coming in. The arms and head of the upper body crawled like a zombie through the hole, head first. It's arms stretched towards Kai, trying to grab him with it's disgusting hand.
It's head was staring at him, with hatred, the cloak it was previously wearing was now on the outside of the branch, covered in blood and on the floor.
Kai's skinny body shook as he tried to look for a way out. Beside him was a small hole that he could fit through. He quickly crawled towards the hole, trying to escape.
But he felt a grab on his leg as half of his body was so close to freedom.
He was being pulled back by the hand, the demon was trying to drag him into the hole, where he would be surely devoured.
Kai pulled his leg, trying as hard as he could to make the demon leg go.
But it wouldn't.
Kai looked to his side and saw another stick, which was even bigger and sharper then his previous one.
He bent his back in a very painful and odd way, stick in-hand. Now his entire body was outside the bush, only his leg was left.
That was until Kai felt a piercing, horrible pain. He felt bones cracking, and skin being ripped apart from his leg.
Kai lifted the stick and blindly stabbed into the hole, feeling the stick stab into something hard, like a rock. The grab on his leg let go, and he pulled his leg out.
His entire leg was scorched with blood and torn up skin. The bones in his leg was slightly visible, with a tooth mark embedded into his bone.
A tooth mark.
The demon had bitten him, bitten his skin off, and bit his bone inside his leg. Kai screamed in agony, as he should of when he got bit.
Disgusting.
Kai stared in horror at his leg, but began limping over towards the trees, trying to get away once more. He had another chance to escape, as long as he didn't bleed to death.
He looked forward, almost proudly at his escape and grabbed an Ancient Tree for support. Kai
looked behind him, back at the bush surrounded by the Ancient Tree's branch, his saviour.
Rolling from the hole Kai escaped from was the demons head, glaring like a monster. It's red eyes stared at him with such a force, that not even he could explain. It's long, blood covered mouth had a frown as it's face stared.
It began to smile, seemingly enjoying this. Kai looked up at the other hole the demon entered from, to see the entire upper body of the demon emerging from the hole.
Kai looked at the bloody face. His blood from his leg covered the demons mouth. He held his dirt covered and blood soaked hands to his mouth, unable to believe all that's happened to him in the past 5 weeks.
He quickly began to run, staring back at the upper body emerging from it's hole. He ran, and ran, nonstop.
He had to escape, this was his very last chance to escape out of the forest, he smiled to himself silently as he looked forward once again, trying to ease his pain.
A successful escape.
The moon was starting to fall, it was almost morning. A beautiful morning.
Kai looked back once again at the demon, which was still in view. Then he heard it, a howl.
HOWLLLLLLL!
He looked back, to see an even more muscular and bigger demon slowly approaching the Cloaked Demon.
The Cloaked Demon's decapitated head looked horrified as it tried to roll itself back into the hole, and it's upper body went back into the hole aswell.
The Bigger Demon simply looked down, and slammed it's entire thick, complete muscle arm through the branch, breaking it.
It grabbed the Cloaked Demons head, lifting it infront of itself. The Cloaked Demons head looked petrified as the lower and upper body of the Cloaked Demon jumped out of the hole and bowed.
The lower and upper body connected together, the blood visibly coming together like stitches. It's now connected half's bowed down to the Muscular Demon, it's 8 pack abs glowing through the almost-morning sky.
The Muscular Demon looked down at the body and opened it's mouth, revealing a rustic color, razor sharp teeth, similar to the Cloaked Demon's but bigger and stronger.
The Muscular Demon devoured the Cloaked Demon's decapitated head, the bright crystal shattering inside it's mouth.
The body fell on it's knees once the crystal was broken and fell forward. The Muscular Demon got on all fours and began chewing and eating the Cloaked Demons body.
Kai simply stared at all of this, then began to run again. He wouldn't be capable of escaping that thing if it found him.
He ran and ran, trying to get as far away as possible from the new demon. No way in hell was he going to let that thing catch up to him...
Plop! Splatter!
Kai stopped running, looking down. Beside him was a chunk of meat that had fallen from his stomach. His skin had ripped open, and a chunk of his insides fell out.
Kai looked down at it, in shock. He then started to feel pain everywhere, his entire body aching and suffering.
It was awful.
But he simply looked down at the now dirt filled meat and continued running, ignoring the pain. This was bad, the demon would definitely smell his meat.
He would be caught if he didn't run far away enough.
Kai ran through the forest, dodging tree branches and leaves. He looked around, staring at the sun as it slowly started to lift into the sky, slowly.
The exotic and disgusting animals around him began singing and emerging from their homes for the morning.
Sounds of animals filled his ears as he ran and ran through the forest, his skin opening more and more.
He was free.
