Freedom

He continued running, his senses telling him where to go. Ever since he got to this world, his senses have gotten much more sensitive. His hearing, seeing, touching, etc.

The moon was drifting down the sky, the sky brightened with a dark purple and blue. Kai looked in desperation as he ran away, to never come back.

That Muscular Demon was huge, if I got caught by it's grasp, I would never survive. I only got lucky with that bush.

Kai continued sprinting through the forest, his skin was now wide open, showing the inside. His body was previously aching, but now it was burning like boiled water.

The Pain Was Immeasurable.

He continued running, even after a slob of flesh fell from inside his stomach. Small, chunks of flesh. But, Kai continued looking forward, desperately to get away from that area.

Right now, he was running the complete opposite of the demon, so Kai devised a plan. He stopped running, and grabbed a chunk of meat that fell out of his stomach. He began running sideways, leaving a on-purpose blood trail.

He then threw the chunk of meat into a bush, and quickly ran back into the direction he started at. This may give him more time to escape, before the demon comes to eat him. Or, torture him.

Any more torture and Kai would fall apart, hell, he was falling apart right now. He dodged branches and kicked small bugs out of the way.

Kai then looked around, noticing small blue and green particles flying through the air, everywhere. The scene, It simply looked magical.

Dozens of exotic and odd creatures left their homes, staring into the sunset. Birds, bugs, spiders, etc stared into the distance, looking some-what hopeful.

Kai stopped.

He fell on the ground, dying from exhaustion. He began to lay there, painfully holding his stomach, trying to keep his insides in place. It was disgusting.

Blood spilled everywhere, devouring the grass as it flowed through the forest floor, eventually stopping at a tree stump.

That's when Kai noticed it. The ground level, it was getting higher. He felt as he ran, the entire thing felt off. The ground was higher than usual, he was going up.

After over 20 minutes of sitting down and regaining strength, he stood up once again and began to run. He continued running forward, disregarding the pain in his side.

He Was Free. This Was Freedom.

This was it, he was free. What Kai had wished for for the past 5 weeks, he was free.

He Had Gained Freedom

Kai smiled to himself, as he continued to run, jogging now. He couldn't run, his body couldn't handle that much pressure. In fact, his body was barely holding up.

His entire body was hungry and dehydrated, while his entire upper-body was skin and bones. The only thing that was a decent size was his legs. They had been working their ass off, his salvation.

Kai couldn't appreciate his legs more than now, they were his saviour. His legs were the only reason he escaped. They were pushing through, even just barely, they were.

He continued running, admiring his legs on the inside. Then, Kai noticed that as he ran, the ground began to lift higher and higher, like a hill.

He stopped, falling on the ground. His back was hurting like hell. That was when he remembered, the stick. That stick had impaled his back.

Kai had completely forgotten about it, but now that he thought about it, it began to hurt. This pain was completely blocked out from his stomach pains, just adding to it.

But, as he was jogging, the pain in his back was more vibrant. So vibrant in fact, that he had fallen. The pain was increasing a lot more than it did, also oddly.

He sat down and raised his hand behind his back. He felt something sticking out, and without him noticing, it had been there, completely ignored.

Kai pulled it out, completely ignoring what he was always told not to do, "Never take out a knife if it's stabbed into you."

But, he had forgotten at this moment. But when he had reached back, he didn't feel the wood from a stick, but rather, a metal.

OUCH!

Kai pulled out the stick, his other hand gripping his back where the exit wound lay. He then looked at his left hand, the hand he used to pull out the stick.

But it wasn't a stick, instead, it was the dagger the Cloaked Demon used on the Smaller Demon.

Holy Sh*t...

Once he grabbed the dagger, it brightened with dark purple light. Kai quickly through over the dagger at a nearby tree, wanting nothing to do with it. It stopped shining, and lay there, looking like a normal dagger.

But then Kai realized, he could use this.

This was a weapon he could use for protection, in emergencies. But at the same time he didn't want such a weapon with a history of horrible killings.

But, what weapon doesn't? If he left it there it would be a complete waste. Why would he waste such a useful thing?

Kai wouldn't.

He wasn't that stupid, despite not wanting anything to do with the dagger, he crawled over and picked it up, examining it. It was made of iron, it's handle had some kind of cloth covering it, making the grip warm and tightened.

Once he touched it, the sharp edges of the small dagger would glow a dark purple. Then Kai noticed it. When he looked closer at the dagger, the dark purple looked like it was moving.

Then he looked at his arm. The dagger's purple color was the same as his veins color,

A Match.

Kai continued to examine the dagger, to find nothing interesting. It's blade was shaped like any normal dagger, nice and sharp. The only odd thing was the purple glow.

He placed the dagger aside, stuffing it into his torn pants for safekeeping. Kai stood, stretching his arms and legs.

He continued to run through the forest for another minute before looking around and noticing something...

The forests around him was fading away, there were less tree's and less vegetation as he ran. His running had became running upwards, like a hill.

Kai continued running, blood slightly spewing out of his stomach. He felt dizzy, anxious to lay down. Until finally, after running for so long, the forest stops.

All the tree's around him were gone, the animals, everything. The grass was the only thing left under him, but as he walked that grass turned to stone.

Kai continued to walk, looking brightly up, smirking to himself.

Finally, a beautiful place to rest. He was free from the forest, finally. But his dizziness from running and pain reduced these feelings, making him only wanting to sit down.

He continued walking, the ground around him becoming more narrow. Finally, in front of him was a enormous, beautiful tree.

It shined through the beautiful, morning sunset. Kai looked at the tree, then looked at his surroundings.

This entire time, he was on a cliff. A cliff filled with forest. And now, he was at the edge of a cliff, with a beautiful tree. The edge was staring straight as the sun, shining, as it's beautiful green leaves flew through the air, landing on the stone floor.

On the edge of the cliff, Kai walked to the end. He passed the elegant tree and looked over the cliff.

The Sea.

That's all that could be seen, a beautiful, bright blue, Sea. Kai sat down, staring at it's glory. His back was against the tree, blindly staring at the beautiful scenery in front of him.

He was now, sitting under a beautiful tree, on the edge of a cliff, simply staring in happiness as the sun began to slowly rise into the sky.

His entire body was hungry and dehydrated, yet this scene seemed to complete rid him of that.

Atleast, for a couple seconds, until the pain began to rise. He looked down, his blood splattered everywhere, dripping from his cut open stomach.

He looked around, subconsciously to make sure his escape had been successful. He had made it, after so long.

Kai felt dizzy, his brain began to become fuzzy.

Now he was back to present time, laying under the tree, thinking about his past. That was over now, he was free, he had no reason to reminisce over such horrible memories.

Kai looked around once more, using his senses to make sure there were no demons running at him. He smiled.

Looking at the beautiful sunset rise to the morning, drool sipped down Kai's mouth. His head was now resting on the tree, he was falling asleep.

Finally, his idle, small, fragile body sit, sleeping as the beautiful sun rises over the elegant, glistening sea. The forest behind him began to glow, showing the glorious scenery behind him.

Finally, Kai could sleep in peace, and not worry about the demon that was eventually going to torture him the next morning.

He was successful, his escape plan had worked. Kai could finally, sleep without any worry.

Freedom.
