In Formation

"There you are the one and only descendant of royalty ha-ha!" the old man smiled brightly as I walked in. "Now that she's here we can continue our discussion properly" The old man sits up in his chair resting his arms on his fancy clear table. The room was set up with a round table, the left side being the surface dwellers, and the right side being the bottom dwellers. Both sides had different dynamics, the humans from above ground were smaller in size and weaker looking than the humans that lived underground. To be honest, I didn't think there was another people group, I was always aware through time that the mighty ones ruled over all humans and vampires but I never heard of humans from the bottom of the surface.

"I do have a question kind sir?" I said sitting down in the middle chair between the two groups. "And what would that be?" He raises his eyebrow in question. "How come I have never heard of bottom dwellers?" The old man stands, and walks over stretching his arms out on the round table "You see we were once people all in the same but" he continues "As time passed, we have separated ourselves in desperation to be safe from the vampires that were destroying us". The rest of his people nodded in response "Please call me Mathias". " I still have one more question, Mathias, I said, "How did you end up forming your people?" I cross my arms waiting for him to speak. "It was a long time ago when the mighty ones were beginning to disappear, leaving us astray," he said "We had found these tunnels in a way of hiding from the disasters of the surface..." Mathia's face saddened and his voice trailed as he finished his sentence. I felt bad I didn't want to ask him any more questions and bring up bad memories. "I'm sorry Mathias, I know I asked too much,". Mathias stands to his feet as the room stays in silence "Everyone, please speak we haven't even gotten to the task at hand!". After Mathias spoke a young woman stands to her feet and then raises her hand looking at me, "Yes?" I say as she puts her hand down "I just wanted to say what's next your highness?" she says bowing. I was taken aback by what she called me; I didn't feel worthy of that title. Everyone in the room bowed together "We pledge our allegiance!". Mathias rises "There isn't much to be said?" He says tapping his index finger on his lips.

Suddenly, a very braulic but beautiful woman rushes through the doors, with an army of men. "Mathias! we have a report, the vampires are plotting a diabolical plan!" She then stops in her tracks when she sees me. Bows in front of me and her men follow "Your Highness we beseech thee, forgive us for our rudeness". "You are alright please continue," I said. Mathias then spoke, "Your Highness at this rate we need you to lead us ". He took my hand with worry in his eyes. I thought for a moment, what can I make of this? I knew I had to try and prove myself but these people already accepted me so willingly. They are so desperate they don't care that my people vanished in their time of need. and yet they ask me for my help. The woman looks up placing her hand on my foot "Please your Highness" I grab her hand pulling her up "Rise! I tell you all to Rise!" They did as soon as I spoke. "That's what I want from you stand with me and let us make a formation that's unforgettable!".

Everyone cheered and then left the building, except for Mathias. "Your Highness, I know you found it odd for our people to eagerly-" I cut him off "They are running out of options, aren't they?" He looks straight into my eyes about to open his mouth

"Yes, indeed we have no other chances left, "says the Braulic woman "What's your name? "I say just realizing she's still here. "It's Erza, Your Highness, I'm sorry I haven't just left but I feel there's more to be said." I move one of the chairs to where we're standing, and both Mathias and Erza do the same. "Just want to make known that we need your help and were willing to create that formation," says Erza. "The vampires have had a plan for centuries. We just need ours" Mathias finishes. I stand to my feet "I just feel that after the history of my descendants. You wouldn't trust me so willingly" Mathias and Erza stand "I trust you because I know you and the same goes for Erza" says Mathias as Erza nods her head in agreement. "If I may your Highness, I would like to inform you. But at a later date". I nod she's right although I want to know all the missing factors, I have to stay true to the main outcomes. "Mathias let's continue this soon once you have everything ready" he nods "And Ezra get more men, strengthen them as much as you can" She bows and then leaves through the door. Mathias bows as well allowing his men to escort me back.
