Unholy War

After learning about The Knights of The Sun, Jaxs training shortly after; it has been two months after all of this has started, and it has been a long and slow journey. Although Jax knew it was all worth all the cuts and bruises. "Hey Boy, are you okay to continue for today," Aetius pick up his wooden sword.

"What kind-of-Spartan are you Aetius don't you believe in training all day or something like that," Jax wipes the sweat from his brow and sits down.

Aetius sits next to him "Boy I've been on this earth too long, wasting time training all day although it is helpful, you will regret it," his voice shakes "trust me Boy if you live by the sword you will die by it."

"So what you're saying is, we should call it a day right," Jax asks laughing. Him and Aetius may have only known each other for a short time, but Aetius has become like a father to Jax even if he was a vampire. He was always ready to give Jax advice and help him with learning about the way of the world.

Jax stands up and specks after a long silence between them "Come on Old Man, let's get back in the house." Aetius gives Jax a small laugh as he stands up and nods his head in agreement. Fall has just ended, and winter has just started, Jax could feel it in the air, and he knows that change is coming. But Jax doesn't want the seasons to change; he wants more time in fall because he wanted more time to take in all of the horrible things that happened. But Jax knowing that there is no real reason in dwelling on the past there is only time to look forward because if you look to the past, you will get lost in it.

The field they were training in was just snowed on the night before; every time they took one step, a soft crunch would ring out. "Hey, Boy how is your friendship with Alex going, are you trying to fix it, or are you stuck again," Aetius was the type of man to say what was on his mind even if it hurt your feeling or not.

"I'm working on it. It's getting better for me, but I still think Alex trusts me with her life, but I'm not sure." Jax feels guilty for not trusting her, but he knows these things take time. Aetius nods his head in agreement, Aetius never tried to read Jaxs or really anyone else's thoughts, but sometimes it happened without him thinking. It was always easy to talk with Aetius, his however many years on this earth he always knew what to say.

They reach the front of the house, Jax and Alex were now training in the frozen Oregon forest. Jax training with Aetius and Alex training with her mother. It felt wired to Jax being out here with his father figure and Alex's mother, but every time he thinks of it, he reminded himself he needs to save his mother and stop, The Knights of The Sun.

From the moment Jax learned about them and their unholy crusade to purge everything that they think to be unholy and agents the rules of God. Jax knew that if they where unholy creatures, why would God have made them Jax was Nephilim, and so was the rest of his race. But then again, Jax was more than just Nephilim is something more. Jax lets his mind wander as him, and Aetius make their way into the house.

Jax pulls out of his mind and sees an arrow flying at his head time slows, and he moves out of the way. He reaches his hand out and grabs it; time returns to normal. It was more like Jax is moving so fast that time slows, but the only other person that can keep up with him is Aetius because of his vampire powers. Alex's mother Patty was the one that lost the arrow that Jaxs head.

"Can you for once Patty not try to kill me. I don't know what you have agents me, but this game is getting old," Jax throws the arrow back to her.

"Oh please, if you can't handle a little arrow, how do you think you can defeat The Knights of The Sun," Her word burned in Jaxs ears, but she is right. Alex comes running out of the living area, her eyes burning with frustration, but her blue eyes still said I'm happy.

"Damnit mother stop trying to kill him," Alex grabs Jaxs hand and pulls him away from Aetius and Patty.

Jax feels Alex soft hand grip his lovingly; Jax keeps his face from going red. "Hey, Jax can I as you something?" Alex's voice was matter–of–fact. Before Jax could answer, she keeps speaking "How can you keep your hopes up right now… I mean your mother and Em and your sister…"

"Listen to Alex; my hopes are not for me; they are for you, Aetius, Patty, Linda, and Isaac. I am terrified," Jax squeezes Alex's shoulder. Jax feels his heart slam against his ribcage; Alex hugs him as she cries.

A few hours later everyone in the house is asleep except for Jax the last two months his dreams have been torturing him. He steps outside into the cold he jacket was thick enough to keep him warm but thin enough to let him feel the coldness of the air. He walks deep into the woods and climbs a tree and sit on a branch and looks at the surrounding woods. He closes his eyes and listens to the wind wisp past the trees as the leaves rustle he slowly drifts off to sleep.

Jax opens his eyes to find himself standing in a room with a prison cell in the corner. He sees a woman in it after looking over her face Jax realizes that is his mother; he quickly looks around the room to see if he can recognize anything like a landmark or just the county she is in. A man with a mask and an Italian accent he says something to her but the only thing at Jax can hear his mother saying is "me and my son may be a demon, but we are the good guys, unlike you bastards."

Jax feels a hand hit him in the chest. He wakes up to see Aetius over him a look of casern on his face. Jax sits up and the look of surprise on his face. "Aetius, my mother is a Demon."

"That is impossible Demons cannot have children Jax," Aetius protests. He waves his hand as to let Alex and Patty know it's okay to come into his room.

"Wait, how did I get here, I was in the woods," Jax looks around the room waiting for a response, but he sees a room full of confused faces.

"One thing at a time Boy what do you mean your mother is a Demon because there is no way that is possible," Aetius gets up and gets water for Jax. Jax can't help but think; if it was the true Aetius has no idea what he's talking about, but if was a dream it was the realist dream that he has ever had in his life. If it wasn't a dream, it would explain how fast Jax can move and maybe the powers h could have in the future. Aetius comes back and gives Jax the water.

"Aetius, if mother is a Demon… how am I here? Could it be because of my father's Nephilim Blood?" Jax takes a drink and looks into the glass.

"That is a good theory Jax, but if it is true you would be the first of a new race, and you could bring two worlds together," Patty interjects and pushes Aetius out of the way and sit next to Jax. Aetius has a look of disgust at what she just said not because of the idea that Jax could be half Nephilim half Demon but that the concept would be impossible. The idea of a Demon having a child there would have to be a sacrifice, but if Marry and Abraham did sacrifice someone to bring Jax into this world, Abraham would have been okay with killing someone that wasn't part of The Knights of The Sun.

"Jax if you are right you hold power that every Nephilim could only dream of," Aetius looks at Jax and walks out of the room.
