"Wake up, you lazy old hag!" With a gigantic furry finger, Kurama pushed the little goddess sideways.

"Whaaat" Came the lazy, drawn-out reply. Her eyes remained closed all while she tried swatting his finger away.

"Wake up!"

"Whaaat!" She answered a little louder this time.

"WAKE UP!"

"WHAT!"

"Good morning." Kurama's tone returned to normal. His ruby-red eyes regarded the tired little goddess. She turned and moaned in displeasure.

"Why did you wake me, you dumb fox?!" She complained loudly.

"Today is the day and you asked me to remind you."

The goddess looked all too confused. "And what day is it?"

"The day we leave this world for another. You are worse than any of my previous hosts." Kurama complained.

"Stop complaining, you stupid fox. I usually leave all that to my subordinates. A goddess has no need for remembering anything. As I said; I have you for that."

Kurama grumbled something inaudible in response. He thought about shaking her off his head but reconsidered when the word 'punishment' came up in thought.

"That still doesn't change the fact that you said we were gonna move on today. So what kind of world did you have in mind?"

The goddess giggled. "Oh, nothing serious. I picked a world that we are going to build our headquarters in. It's magnificent. A lot of water, funny people, interesting powers. It's going to be glorious!" She stated with excitement.

"Why do I have a sinking feeling? I don't like you using the word 'glorious'. It feels wrong." Kurama said.

"You whine too much. Now my trusted steed; We are going to war!" Maleficent exclaimed with great fervour.

"So how do we travel? Like before?"

"Exactly so. First, you have to use your human form."

"Why, it's so uncomfortable. Feels like squeezing myself inside a tube."

"Just do it, you stupid fox!"

"Fine. But just know that I do this against my will."

"You don't trust me, do you?" She asked with a cute pout.

"Not in the slightest."

"Meanie!" She snapped her finger as Kurama shrunk to slightly above two meters. A big difference from his usual giant-sized fox form. "Step inside this portal." It had spawned with his snap.

"I hope we find some of those fun fights you promised me. I'm very bored!"

"I admit. This is quite beautiful." Kurama said in a soft tone.

They were hovering high above the sea known as the Grand Line. Water for as far as your eyes could see and the sun shining down turning the sea into a shimmering paradise. It managed to quiet down even the goddess temporarily.

"I'm going to enjoy this moment," Kurama said and sneaked a glance at his boss. "I'm guessing you don't often lose your breath like this."

"Comparable to my home this is nothing, but it is indeed also very beautiful. For a mortal realm, it isn't bad."

"So what are we doing here? Are we just going to sleep as we've done till now?"

"Nah, we're here for an adventure. Don't doubt me, fox-boy."

"So what now then?"

"Now we find somewhere to sleep, I'm tired." She said as a smile blossomed on her face.

A resounding slap sounded out as Kurama facepalmed himself.

"There is an island nearby, it's abandoned and we will use it as a base. It's quite well hidden and adequately protected thanks to the predators residing on the island."

Kurama gently drifted around Maleficent as the planet would orbit the sun. "And then what? Are we taking over the world, or just chilling and waiting for the supposed fun you spoke of to come and knock on our door?"

"Nah. I haven't planned that far ahead, but I know I want to gather a party of heroes so powerful the omniverse will shudder when our name is called. And I guess that starts here." She announced with a smile that spoke of untold horrors.

"There is something you're not telling me." The fox demon said. "I might not be as old as you, but I have still lived for a long time. I know when someone is not telling me everything."

"Well, you will just have to wait and see," Maleficent stated happily, earning a sigh from the fox.

On the second part of the Grand Line, there existed an island that had laid out of human grasp for a long time. The reason: the monsters on the island. They all possessed powerful haki and some even qualified as kings.

"It is too much of a bother for the humans to take it over, and since it is so far off it isn't worth it for them to take over. That's why it's perfect for us to camp out at." Maleficent and Kurama landed gracefully on the beach.

"Does it have a name?"

The tiny goddess did a proper spin and sand spread all around her. With arms wide, she bowed to the stunned fox and answered: "Indeed. Welcome to Raspberry Island. It has some of the most delicious berries this world has to offer."

"Why Raspberry though?" Kurama rightfully asked.

"I don't know. Someone named it and it stuck. I am a creation goddess, I just know these things, I didn't name them. Well, technically I did, but whatever."

"Yeah... whatever," Kurama answered with obvious sarcasm. "Anyway. I'll go and explore a bit. I need a break from you." He didn't wait for an answer and left.

"Don't kill everyone here, they're cute!"
