The first day of Christmas Break

Today was my first day of my break.

I was going to sleep in, but Lexi called me and invited me over to her house.

Normally I would say no due to what happened with Lee-Lena, but I accepted the invite.

I got out of the bed and threw on some clothes.

Angelica would want me to have breakfast before I leave out.

I grabbed two waffles and throw them in the toaster.

While my waffles were toasting I looked in the mirror.

I needed to comb my hair. Damn!

My comb was upstairs in my room.

I pulled out my pocket comb and combed my hair.

My waffles popped out of the toaster.

I grabbed them and walked to Lexi's house.

Sooner than later I was at Lexi's house.

Her house was not too far from my house. That was a good thing.

I walked up to the house and knocked on the door.

The door opens.

A woman who was not that much taller than me stands in the doorway.

"Hi. I'm looking for Lexi," I say.

The woman invited me inside the house.

I walked in the house.

The house had a lot of great article of art. It must have been a fortune to get the house.

"I have never seen my daughter with a friend or man before," the woman says. "I'm her mother. She's still getting ready for you. Can I talk to you in the living room?"

I followed Lexi's mom into the living room.

We sat down on the couch.

"I know that you may like my daughter, but her condition is at it's peak. She has down syndrome, so that means that her level of learning is really slow."

Lexi skips into the living room.

"Hey October," She says planting a kiss on my cheek. "Ready to go?"

I grabbed my jacket.

Lexi and I walked down to the center of town.

They were having an annual carnival in the center of the town.

I paid for the tickets for Lexi and me.

We had enough for the entire day here.

While I was playing a game to win Lexi a big stuffed teddy bear I saw Becky walking with another guy.

I'm going to try my best to not get jealous at the fact that Lexi would change guys after we broke the relationship.

Soon it was lunch time.

I had enough money for two hotdogs and a soda, but Lexi wanted a big hotdog and wanted to Lady and the tramp the hotdog with me. I mean I don't mind the idea, but I remembered what her mother said about the down syndrome.

You only live once though. Fuck it.

I ordered one large hotdog and one Coke with two straws.

We sat down at a table near more food attractions.

I started on one end of the hotdog and Lexi follows on the other side.

When we got to the center of the hotdog our lips met.

Also this was what her mother said about in the living room.

I pulled away.

"What's wrong October," Lexi asks.

I needed to lie. I can't tell her about what her mother said to me.

"What are you doing tonight," I ask.

Lexi raises an eyebrow at me.

"I have a Christmas show that I'm going to in New York City. Do you want to go with me and my mom?"

I don't have any other plans for the rest of the break, so why not?

"Sure Lexi I'll go. I have an idea to finish off the day here."

We walked to the Ferris wheel.

The car was waiting for us.

Lexi and I gets in the car.

The Ferris wheel went up.

"So October you haven't told me what you want to do after you graduate."

"Well I do want to get married. Write books is a good passion for me that I have."

"Promise me one thing October."

"Sure anything Lexi."

"If you write a book be sure to add me to the book."

As you know I am a man of my word.
