Wedding party

At her table were a few cousins of Helen. They didn´t know she was actually Helen´s boss so they just kept talking to her casually.

"So Eira, can I ask if you have a boyfriend?" One of them asked her smirking.

She blushed a bit.

"No, I don´t."

"What wonderful news. I am also single right now." He continued.

"You always were single. No sane woman would actually like you Greg." Another one of the cousins chimed in.

"Hey, that´s better than having a girlfriend running away from you." Greg retorted.

"Pah, you wish you would have a girlfriend. Look at you. You´re out of her league."

Both stared at each other. Before they could attack each other someone else came in between them.

"Cut it, both of you. You guys are both bad choices."

The one who stopped the two cousins was no one other than the man Eira had met before. He put the two quarreling cousins in place and then took a place besides Eira.

"My sister-in-law told me I should introduce myself to you. So here I am. My name´s Liam Scott. I just came back from Finland." He introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you. Thank you for your jacket earlier." Eira smiled at him.

His face remained expressionless and just nodded at her thanks.

"I´ve heard from Helen that you got your master's in business and IT. Do you have any other qualifications?" Eira asked.

Liam chuckled at her question and looked at her.

"I see you are a real businessman. Getting straight to the topic. I´ve worked at an independent company for a couple of years and filled in every possible position there was. I can confidently say that I know what I am doing."

Eira grinned at his answer. This guy is confident much.

"What do you know about Morgan Noodles?"

"Enough. I know how big it got after just a couple of years. I know that you started it when you were around 17 or 18. You are one of the youngest CEOs and founders there is. Your work ethic is admirable. You are strict but also fair. In the past year, you started a few interesting projects including your cooking school project. If that is done I guarantee you success. But you are lacking one thing." Liam concluded.

Eira raised her brows in wonder.

"And that is?"

"The last incident showed that you know how to deal with nasty comments but it´s not effective enough and there is not always a George Henning who can divert the attention. Your PR team is capable but also lacks skill. Nowadays the world's function in the digital world. That is the place where wars start and end. And to top it off I can see without my sister-in-law mentioning that there is one intelligent head but not enough capable arms." And with that Liam ended his conclusion.

"Everything is true what you said. So what do you think I should do?" She tested him.

"You have to hire me of course." Liam grinned at her.

"How can I be sure that you are trustworthy?"

"You won´t know but he can get to know me and then judge me if I am trustworthy enough. You also didn´t trust sister-in-law at first but now you give her so much freedom to handle your things."

"True that. Alright. Come to my office on Monday and we will talk everything through."

Liam nodded in agreement. He stood up and walked to his brother who was busy taking pictures with the other guests.

Then the light went off and a single headlight illuminated the pair. Slow music started in the room was dimmed down. They started to dance and soon everyone joined them.

Liam walked to Eira and leaned closer to her.

"Before it is impossible to dance with my boss I´d like to have a dance with you." He whispered to her.

"Okay fine." Eira easily agreed.

Both of them went to the dance floor and Liam put his hand on her waist securely.

They started dancing slowly to the music. Eira looked around to see more and more pairs joining them on the dance floor with the bride and groom in the middle. The two of them looked at each other with so much love and tenderness. Everyone could see that they were truly made for each other.

"Aren´t they sickening cute?" Liam chuckled.

"Yes, they are. I remember the time when she first met Andy. She was so over the top happy and made a bunch of mistakes. That was the time I seriously considered sending her home for a month. It was just unbearable." Eira snorted.

"I was abroad at that time but I heard from my mom that Andy wasn´t any better. There was one time he walked out of the house still with his slippers on until he reached his office."

Liam and Eira laughed lightly.

"Oh, I know a better story than that. Helen came in one time sat down in her chair and then immediately stood up to inform me that it was already 8 pm and we should end the day. Actually, it was only 8 am." Eira laughed some more thinking back.

Liam also laughed.

"Can I tell you something?" He asked her.

"Yeah sure," Eira answered still grinning from the fun memory.

"You really are beautiful when you laugh. Don´t get it wrong. I am just stating facts. I don´t have any other intentions." Liam said.

Eira looked dumbfounded for a second but soon returned to her cheery self.

"If you don´t have other intentions I´ll take that as a compliment. But please refrain from saying something like that when you are working for me. It makes others misunderstand."

"I understand. We don´t want your boyfriend to misunderstand, right?" Liam winked at her.

"What are you talking about? Who is supposed to be my boyfriend?"

"George Henning of course. That was all around the net. Even I heard from it."

"It´s not true. He´s my employee."

"Yeah, and? That doesn´t matter." Liam grinned.

"Stop it. He is not. You can check for yourself." Eira bantered.

"Okay, I will." Liam chuckled.
