The ex-Grim Reaper gripped his weapon, ready to strike at this mysterious being. But Duncan gasped as he realized who that being was. Duncan didn't know if she was the same person since the woman was facing away from the Reaper. But there are some things off about this lady.
She was much older and looked more mature, with a straighter posture than Mavislin. Her long hair was completely white while bunned up with a winged hairpin. Around her neck was a beautiful golden necklace that screamed royalty.
However, her attire was of a warrior with her armor and clothing all in purple. If only she had turned around, Duncan could determine if Mother Mavislin was in these memories. But one glance was enough to know not to mess with her as her Elemental Aura was terrifying.
"Well, even if you were the one, I'm not going to ask why you've done so since you must have your reasons. However, I must say that I admire what that weapon of yours can do. To the point that you've impressed me. With a single swing, you killed everyone in your path."
"I think you've destroyed a kingdom's worth of people after that swing. I wonder how much damage you can do if you truly continue swinging that scythe of yours. That truly makes me interested in you. So tell me, lonesome being, what is your name?" asked the woman.
The being then turned around to give better the Reaper attention he deserved. The Ankou sighed before gaining the confidence to look the beautiful being in the eyes. But to his surprise, the Reaper saw that the being was holding two sleeping children, one in each arm.
Both kids had their mother's pale complexion, and the clothes that bundled the children up were also in the same fabric as the lady's outfit. The child on her left was a baby boy with jet black hair with purple tips. In contrast, the one on the left was a little girl with messy chestnut locks.
The Reaper was shocked, and Duncan could finally confirm his suspicions. Duncan's reaction mainly was confusion since the person standing there with the two kids was like Mavislin, but the Elemental Aura and scent she gave out wasn't of the person who saved him.
Her face was more mature and dignified than Mavislin's, and her eyes were colored orange. As for the Ankou, he slowly stepped back and tried to hide the weapon for fear the lady's children would wake up. But unlucky for him, the one on the right started to stir in her sleep.
The lady took notice and quickly placed the girl onto the floor to allow the child to grasp her surroundings fully. The little girl rubbed her groggy eyes before looking at her mother with a bright smile. The lady merely smiled and coaxed her daughter to walk around.
And the first thing the little girl was to stand up and make a beeline toward the man who wielded the oversized scythe. As she neared the Reaper and Duncan, the boy was shocked at the toddler's identity. No denying that scent. It was...
"No, Mavy... You cannot eat him. I don't think he tastes very nice. However, some bodies are lying about what you can try. But please stop if they start tasting funny, okay?" asked the lady, with a gentle smile.
The Ankou widened his eyes as he looked down at the small girl pouting with drool pouring out the corners of her mouth. Meanwhile, Duncan tried his best to stay as far from the baby as possible since he didn't like the scent of babies all too much.
It took a bit of time, but Duncan soon found out these were the Ankou's memories, so there was no need to be wary about being seen. However, Duncan didn't want to go near a baby who was hungry enough to eat a grown person.
The baby girl sagged her shoulders and shuffled herself towards a beheaded person. She then crouched and placed a finger on the pool of freshly spilled blood. She proceeded to lick it and discovered that she liked the taste of what she put into her mouth.
"It's nice... Doesn't taste funny..." whispered the child named 'Mavy.'
The lady then walked past the Ankou and stood beside her daughter.
"Then you may eat your fill for today's lunch, Baby Mavislin," smiled the lady before turning to the shocked Reaper.
"Sorry, it may be a wild guess, but I presume you are not of this world. So who are you people?" asked the Ankou, looking at the lady with confusion.
The lady blinked before realizing that this was a foreign planet. She then made an audible gasp and quickly introduced herself to the Ankou.
