The Ark Of Target: Galahad

"Ah... I see now... So, all the Founders are heading out soon? Then who will take care of the kids?" questioned the chef.

"The Headmaster won't be going out anytime soon, so he is sticking around to help. When Baldwin comes back, that would be another help as well. In the meantime, keep the children here for as long as possible," instructed Mavislin.

"Will do, Lady Roydon. Would you like something to eat? I can fry some eggs and bacon for you with a side of toasted bread. Or would you like coffee instead?" asked Clement, getting up from his seat and heading to the newly upgraded kitchen.

"No coffee, but I would like the food, please. Thank you, chef."

Clement gave a thumbs-up as he spent the next few Tocks preparing a simple breakfast for the Valkyrie and himself. Meanwhile, Mavislin lightly tapped on the dining table to conjure up the profile for the Knight of Heaven, Sir Galahad, son of Lancelot.

According to the history of this Knight, Galahad was the only one to succeed in finding the Holy Grail, only to pass it back to the heavens. The Knight of Shield was to shoulder the next generation of the Round Table as he was a late addition to the group.

He is a perfect Knight with nothing tainting his legend from start to the end, with all the Knights thinking highly of the young boy who bested his father in a fair fight. All except Mordred, who did not care for the immature shield brat.

A selfless man who does not care for what becomes of humanity and seems disinterested in the matter. Thus, it's a wonder that the Black Knight decided to revive this Knight. But, Mavislin thinks Galahad is too innocent for his good.

As Mavislin gazed at Galhad's skill statistics, her heart sank. Not because it was dramatically different from the actual person, but it was highly underwhelming to look at. This Knight was the only one to win against the Knight of the Lake throughout the Arthurian Legends.

And Galahad was the chosen one to pass on as an ascended person upon the revelation of getting the Holy Grail. There was no purpose in returning to this realm since he's already completed his life. But, out of all the stories, Galahad has the best ending.

Mavislin wrecked her brain into trying to fish out the memories of crossing swords with Galahad. The poor Valkyrie was starting to have a headache as she desperately tried hard to recall the stats for the Knight of Heaven. Clement looked back and got frightened.

"Don't worry; I'm just trying to search through my memories for the target for the task on hand. It's giving me a bit of headache since I've got at least a thousand years stored in that head of mine..." replied Mavislin.

Clement nearly dropped his frying pain upon hearing the last sentence and silently thanked the Gods for giving him such a short lifespan. Concurrently, Mavislin had finally remembered the skills and Elements that Galahad had used in his lifetime.

But the new profile states that this version of Galahad has been tainted and is not the same as the legends or her memories anymore. This Galahad doesn't wield a shield or look young anymore... Mavislin spat out her apple juice just as Clement placed the breakfast in front of her.

Luckily, the chef had good reflexes and quickly moved the breakfast away from the sudden geyser. Mavislin quickly apologized as she summoned a cloth to wipe the table.

"I was shocked to hear that you were up all night with the Founders to discuss the Major Mission... And I'm even more shocked to know that you have been alive for nearly a thousand years!" exclaimed Clement, finally sitting down and eating the food.

"Thanks for the meal, and yes, I do not require sleep as much as the other beings so that I can be up for quite long. And even if I need to sleep but can't, I can always convert food into the required sleep to keep my body going. Although, in the long run, it can be harmful to use it all the time."

"As for being alive for a millennium, I'm considered quite lucky since Valkyries do suffer from eternal boredom to the point that most strays just unalive themselves because we can't die by normal means. When that happens, sanity goes out as well, " explained Mavislin, stuffing her face.

Clement looked horrified but continued to chow down on his bacon.

"Well, if I were given immortality, I would get bored along the way after completing everything I wanted... So how do you quell those bouts of boredom throughout your lifetime?" questioned Clement, curious about Mavislin's past journeys.
