Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness. 

Years later, when they meet again, he stuck to her like a fly she could not get rid off. He kept insisting she took advantage of him when they were young and insisted that she take full responsibility for him.

20 years ago:
"Little girl, you really need to take responsibility on this young master when we are older. I am never going to let you go." He whispered into her ears. Due to his illness, he somehow grew up a little mature than peers his age. Hence, it wasn't a normal for him to be thinking about his future at such young age. In fact, since he was three years old, he had been groomed to be a fine young man in order to prepare him as he is the next heir of his prestigious family. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

Ru Ran placed her luggage in the room, she then asked the Matriach in a polite manner where would Sister Fong be sleeping, she also informed she still suffers from nightmares and it is best if Sister Fong is placed nearby, if not she might end up hysterical and might just end up waking the whole neighbourhood. Matriach Du's face darkened then turn gentle, and quickly told the maids to prepare another room for Fong Siew Lay just beside Ru Ran's room. Matriach Du felt it was a soft threat by Ru Ran but she couldn't do much but to comply because if anything was to happen, if it would have been a case of I told you so. 


Ru Ran then made inquiries regarding her uncle's health and apologised for not showing filial piety as she did not visit him in the hospital. Matriach Du shot her a brief glare before putting on her amicable face and informed that Du Wen Hai is on his way home and will be arriving soon. Ru Ran nodded her head and as if on cue, the housekeeper announced the arrival of Du Wen Hai.


They all then gathered in the private living room. Mr Gan cleared his throat before he started to speak. "I am here on behalf of the late Du Wen Hao, he had entrusted me with a lot of his matters and one of it, is fulfilling his last wishes in any event he was to depart from this world. I will first address his first and foremost concern, Miss Ru Ran. Miss Ru Ran growth and intellectual development will be handled and taken care by Miss Fong Siew Lay, Miss Fong's salary will be bear by the trust fund he had setup for Miss Ru Ran. Mr Yan Tek Wah will also accompany Miss Ru Ran for as long as he is capable. Again his salary will be taken from the trust fund.


The house belongs to Miss Ru Ran and she is only allowed to sell the house only when she reach of age which is 25 years old, she also can have access to her trust funds and will be allow to manage it herself at the age of 21 years old. Her marriage is for her to decide by herself and shall not be forced into any arranged marriage whatsoever. If that happen, Ru Ran can use the shares she inherited as a vantage point. I will eloborate further about the shares in awhile, Matriach Du and Mr Du. Just let me finish. As I was saying, the money needed for her upbringing will be provided by the trust fund.


As for the shares in the company, which is 45%, it has been given to Ru Ran and she will decide if she wants to participate running the company once she comes of age, and if she were to pass away in any manner, her shares will be open for public purchase and any individual would not be allow to purchase more than 5 percent."


He paused his words to clear his dry throat and took a sip of water elegantly. Du Wen Hai who was shocked by the content of the will that the glass of wine he was holding slipped out of his home. The glass shattered breaking the tense and silent atmosphere.


"Impudent! Nonsense! What kind of rubbish is this???" Du Wen Hai could not hold back his anger any longer.


"I agree, this is absolute nonsense. We are going to contest the will!" Matriach Du chided in.


She felt an inexplicable sense of injustice and irritation, how could all her years of effort goes down the drain, she doesn't really care about the little's girl well being but what she hated is how could her hardwork effort to get the company to fall into their hands ended up in a little girl's hand who never knew a day of hard work. She really can't accept this fate.
