Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness. 

Years later, when they meet again, he stuck to her like a fly she could not get rid off. He kept insisting she took advantage of him when they were young and insisted that she take full responsibility for him.

20 years ago:
"Little girl, you really need to take responsibility on this young master when we are older. I am never going to let you go." He whispered into her ears. Due to his illness, he somehow grew up a little mature than peers his age. Hence, it wasn't a normal for him to be thinking about his future at such young age. In fact, since he was three years old, he had been groomed to be a fine young man in order to prepare him as he is the next heir of his prestigious family. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

"You can try to contest it," Mr Gan said lazily and refuse to elaborate further.


Du Wen Hai and Matriach Du could not believe their ears, how can the man in front of them act so arrogantly, did he forget, he is just a lawyer? They will show him that they can make his life difficult and will bombard him with a mountain of paperwork.


Old man Gan really could not care less about their scheming, he is a man that has been around for quite some time, he have a strong grasp of human mind and behaviour, plus what dirty, underhand method has he not seen. As a lawyer, these are the things that he gets constantly exposed to. He is really not afraid. If they want to burden him with mountains of appeal, he of course has his own team of people to deal with this sort of thing. 


He cleared his throat once moreand said, "Can the two supposedly elder in this room, be considerate to the minor in this room, look at her, the two of you are totally scaring her." With that sentence, he looked over to Ru Ran who was hiding in Sister Fong's embrace.


Of course, the two individuals of target were truly not concern about that little girl at all, their source of anger. They glanced at her and glare at her with intense aura of murderous intent. Ru Ran burrow deeper into Sister Fong's embrace. 


"Enough!" Gan Wang Lei erupted, he really could not hold back anymore. He glared back at the two with comparable aura. 


This was Fong Siew Lay's first time, seeing this person has gotten angry and it was a sight to behold. He found him charming and manly and could not help but stare at him with sparkles in her eyes. He could sense her attention on him at the corner of his eyes, and felt like he needed to knock her head because she is distracting him in a way. 


"Ehem. I am just going to sum everything up, basically, all her parents wealth will go to Ru Ran, if anything were to happen to her, her wealth will go to a trust fund that will be setup to provide for those who are less fortunate such as orphans. None of her wealth will end up the hands of the Du family. Only when Miss Ru Ran come of age, she can make changes to the will, depending on her. So, if the two of you do not want to take her into your care, Miss Ru Ran would still be able to provide for her own needs and well being," Mr Gan said shocking Du Wen Hai and Matriach Du. 


Their worst nightmare has came to haunt them for real. They really can't touch this girl, they really had to bear with this girl's existence. Since, it has all come down to this, there is really only one way and no other way, make the girl's life miserable and hollow the company from inside and once her time arrive, she will just inherite an empty shell. 


"Ha ha ha ha ha! Okay!" Du Wen Hai started laughing maniacally. 


Matriach Du looked at her son in surprised, wondering if her son had gone cuckoo in the head from all the shock. She then saw his reassuring signal that he is alright and had already thought of a plan. She quickly relaxed and rested her head against her chair with closed eyes. 


Since, everything is already out in the open there is no need for pretense any longer. There is no need to show much respect to the little girl. So what, she is a rich spoilt heiress? She is still an orphan needing their guardianship, just see if you can survive staying in this house, I will just show you, who the boss really is. Du Wen Hai gave out a chilling and sinister smile give chills to those around. Even, Mr Gan and Gan Wang Lei were taken aback as well. They know that smile is no way a good thing for Ru Ran.
