Where Is My Talent System?

….

Not expecting the system to reply, Nei just continued to keep his eyes fixed on the PCs screen. "What should I search?" He murmured under his breath.

He hadn't had the time to really think through it yet. Even though the program's functions were incredible, without a fitting question it was as good as useless.

An example of this would be; a book with all the answers, if Nei didn't have a fitting question for it, he wouldn't get the answer he was searching for.

So what kind of question should he ask? And what information would help him, in completing the design of his app?

Shaking his head, Nei spoke his thoughts out loud. "What if I search for something that I am interested in first; to test the application's ability." Moving his fingers over the laptop's touchpad, Nei clicked into the 'search' field.

"What do I want to know? Well, there is area 51. Besides that, maybe if something like magic ever existed on earth." Finding two questions to be sufficient, Nei started typing his first two keywords.

Thinking a moment longer about adding some more detail to his search, Nei decided it was unnecessary—and pressed the enter button.

In some cases of low-speed internet, a loading icon would appear at this point. Mostly in the form of a bar, or a rotating circle.

But with a sociopathic System as the designer of the browser, all but a normal loading icon was left.

Only a weak sounding voice escaped Nei's throat, carrying a tinge of defeat in it. "I should have known." That was all, no more agony filled screams, no more furious stamping, no more cursing the heavens, nothing but silence, and finally acceptance.

The icon was still rotating, just that it wasn't a circle anymore, but an old Asian looking cook preparing a bowl of ramen.

Waiting for a bit longer, the Web page finished loading. It now showed a variety of Web links, some labelled top-secret with titles such as 'Alien no.21|Experiment no.371', other as employees with title 'Numbers & Names|Executions'.

It felt quite unbelievable to Nei, scrolling through all these horrible things that nobody should ever see or know about. It was similar to a horror book, only that what he was reading, really happened.

"Oh my goodness… this is too depressing! How dare they! I knew there was evil in humanity, but never would I have imagined it to be this bad…" Nei murmured while holding back the breakfast that was trying to come up.

Nei wasn't naive, how could he? Growing up in the age of information didn't allow for any kind of ignorance. However, even for him, it was too much seeing the gigantic number of inhuman experiments committed by the government.

Human experiments were normality in that place, the videos and pictures gave enough evidence for this.

"Was I interested in something like this? I should make all of this public and lead the American people on a revolution against such disgusting crimes!" With hands trembling in anger, Nei spit out.

[The Systems prognosis, supported by statistics, is: The world will be enraged by the US government's inhuman acts for a few weeks before a new Keanu Reeves meme will gain big popularity throughout the internet. Making people forget about committed cruelty's. Extra forecast: Host will die an indescribable painful death.]

Looking at the ceiling of the room, as if to ask if there was a God, Nei opened a new tab and closed the depressing Area 51 one. Writing a new question into the empty space.

With the appearance of the old cook making ramen, Nei had to wait once more.

When the rotating icon finally disappeared, a new row of links appeared on the screen.

..

.

"My God, it does exist! How were they even able to keep something so big secret? Wouldn't someone notice?!" Confused, Nei searched his brain for a logical explanation.

[The reason for this isn't the government, but Earth's will.]

Becoming even more confused by the Systems statement, Nei asked back. "What do you mean? Can't you read my mind? Why don't you clarify the meaning behind your words from the start!"

[...As the host has learned from Chinese fantasy novels, every world has its own heavenly will. The will can influence the world, realm, or universe it's in control of. Meaning it has the power to alter small parts of reality.]

"How many more times do you force me to use the lord's name?!.." Shocked, Nei took a deep breath to collect his thoughts.

A few seconds ago he couldn't even be sure about the existence of magic, and now he was already confronted by a will controlling his life? The Systems prank? Unlikely, it wouldn't go against the System rules. That means all of what it told him was real...My God!

[System recommends the host to read the article, to further hosts knowledge in magic and start hosts path of cultivation.]

Shocked, Nei asked in a sceptical voice. "...What?"

How could Nei believe his ears? Wasn't it exactly this System that was silenced, only two days ago when asked by Nei about a manual to increase strength?!

Not bothering to make the System clarify, Nei decided to confirm it himself. Opening the link with the name in a new tab, Nei instantly went on to read with discerning eyes from top to bottom, scared to miss anything.

MAGIC is divided into many categories, most of them we will look at more closely in later chapters. But there is one thing that can't wait till later. Stages of a Magicians process.

The 4 Gates

The Gathering Realm

The Sage Realm

The Mystic Realm

The first part is easy to understand, in this phase, you cleanse all dirt from your soul and body. It is the most basic requirement to become a magician who wields his own power..

The second realm is the point where you make the energy of nature part of yourself, strengthening body and soul in the process...

The third realm is the roads beginning of everyone's path, I the author of this thesis have achieved this point..

The last realm. About this realm, not much is known, as there were only a few seniors who broke through into this realm...

….

"Fuck yes System! I am gonna find my path soon!" Jumping up from his chair in excitement, Nei shouted.

[System recommended reading

"hahAHAHAHAA!!"
