Shi Jia couldn't argue with Zero's decision. As much as the young martial arts master would have loved to dispute Zero's plans, he couldn't help but confess that Zero is very capable. Not only did Zero manage to face him head-on and still come out on top even though he had a system that allowed him to get strong at an inhuman rate. Apart from that if Zero was honest about his strong sensory skills, it meant Zero must have felt something, something prompting him to make such a decision after giving it some thought.
"I agree but where do we go to?" Shi Jia asked.
"I don't know…" Zero said as he slowly got on his feet, walking towards the window and peeping through it.
It was a dark night, and the hospital was surrounded by trees and vegetation. Gazing out of the window, Zero couldn't see anyone but he could tell that the hospital was surrounded. So unless they can bulldoze their way through the enemy lines, they will just die pitiful deaths at the hands of their enemies. The thought of splitting up also popped up in Zero's mind but he quickly pushed it aside. He sincerely doubted that their killers will send E or D rated characters against them after the power they displayed in that video. Whoever they will meet after they cross that door, will definitely be stronger than them by far so sticking together was currently the only option.
"Since splitting up will further reduce our chances of survival I suggest we stay together and head towards the security room… Whoever was watching us is definitely strong and since they didn't attempt to take our lives earlier, it's safe to assume they are the guardians assigned to watch over us…. As long as we can reach them, our chances of escaping this place should increase by leaps and bounds" Zero was actually talking to himself but at least he was audible enough for Shi Jia to hear.
With that decided and since Shi Jia didn't disagree with his plan, the two prepared to leave the room. They were both running on fumes at this point. While Zero lacked enough spirit energy to utilize his special ability as he pleases, Shi Jia's head was still a bit shaky and his concentration and stamina were still yet to recover completely, making it almost impossible for him to use the aura materialization in this situation.
Taking off his shirt and only wearing a pair of blue jeans, Shi Jia wrapped some white bandages found in the room around his fists and his feet before stepping out of the room with Zero who simply wore his normal black long sleeve shirt, black jeans, and black boots. Leaving the room Zero stopped for a while and observed the whole situation.
Red lights flashing, loud gunshot sounds booming, and more importantly, so many aura signatures running around making it hard for him to pinpoint which one belonged to the enemy.
They were on the fifth floor which was relatively peaceful, apart from some characters hiding within their locked rooms and shivering in fear, there was nothing strange about this place. Since Zero and Shi Jia didn't have a map of the hospital and this should be their first time here, they could only depend on the directions placed at strategic locations in the hospital.
Gazing around the corridors, they could only see signposts which showed the direction to the canteen and the other wards on the fifth floor. With no time to waste and no intentions to help these people, Zero and Shi Jia quickly made their way to the fourth floor through the stairs since the elevators were currently offline.
Upon arrival they were greeted by hordes of people running towards the stairs leading to the fifth floor, making them wonder where these people intended to go to when their pursuer reaches the fifth floor.
"Well, well, well… we have a strong one over here," Zero said with a smile but even then it couldn't stop beads of sweat from racing down his forehead. He deeply hated the fact that he was too weak to face the person with such a powerful aura head-on, all he could do now was run.
"Who? Where?" Shi Jia was a bit anxious upon hearing Zero's comment.
"If we take the stairs we die… we have to find another way to move to the lower levels of this building!" Zero said with a slightly annoyed expression on his face.
