Irritated

For his first-class, Vali had rune magic so he immediately went to the magic department building and entered the room for his rune magic class.

Right as he entered the room, Vali was immediately met with several stares. And even the ones inside the room that are talking to others immediately kept quiet.

As Vali had walked in, right now, everyone is looking at Vali as they had seen a god walking amongst them. They look at Vali with eyes full of respect and fear. Although they are envious of him and his upbringing, they did not dare voice it out.

Vali, to them who is just a child, had surpassed them in all aspect. While they are all over 20 years old and some even close to a hundred, a kid who seems like he would still smell of his mother's milk is someone they could only be envious of and look up to.

After a short while, the people inside the room quickly rushed towards Vali and surrounded him in an instant. Right away, a chatter of questions are immediately being thrown at Vali,

" Are all Midgardians strong like you? "

" How did King Odin train you to be so strong? "

" Can you help and teach me? "

" Can you train with me? "

"...."

".."

".."

All of them wanted to know his secret. All of them wondered if all or at least some of the Midgardians could possess strength like Vali. Since the information on Midgard is scarce and is something that is not fully know to them, they felt curious. All they have known about Midgardians are those normal humans that worship Asgardians as gods and goddesses. Other than that, they did not know anything else.

As several people are surrounding him, even though Vali had always envied the fame of celebrities and stars in his previous life due to the fame, money and attention they always received.

Right at this moment, Vali felt extremely annoyed, it was not how he dreamt it to be. Instead, to him, it felt like he is being suffocated. Although he had gained the respect of several warriors before when he fought in the arena, he was never met with this kind of crowd.

And as he is annoyed with the crowd, he begins to activate a bit of his Haoshoku Haki. As soon as he activated the skill, the crowd suddenly felt a bit weaker and started to quiet down. Due to the fact that it is only a small amount of his Haoshoku Haki, none of them felt to their knees.

And as Vali is about to address the crowd, a lean and young brunette woman walks into the room and shouted as soon as she saw the crowd, " What are you people doing standing right by the door? Get back to your seats quickly before I send you all away from the room."

As soon as the crowd heard this, coupled with the weakening effect of the Haoshoku Haki of Vali, the immediately followed her command and went back to their seats.

Since the crowd had dispersed themselves, Vali too quickly and quietly went to his seat. This woman is like a godsend to Vali. And as the students went back and sat down, the woman said,

" I am Vosrene, I will be teaching you about runes for the next few years. So, all of you better be on your best behavior or else I will make sure that you are expelled from the Academy. " Vosrene announced in an intimidating tone.

Hearing the announcement of the woman named Vosrene, Vali felt relieved. With this warning, he knew that he would not be met with such kind of crowds and behavior in this class anymore. So Vali felt extremely thankful towards Vosrene.

As all of the students are sitting quietly in their seats, Vosrene begins teaching her class.

And the students begin to listen closely to what this teacher has to say regarding runes as they are extremely interested in getting new information to increase their own strength.

But, to Vali who has a level 4 rune magic skill which is approaching level 5, all of the information and lessons Vosrene taught are already know by him.

Even after sitting and listening to the teaching of Vosrene about the theory regarding rune magic for just about 30 minutes, Vali felt like he had been listening for hours and is getting extremely bored. And for him to sit through her teaching for another 30 minutes, Vali did not know if he could take any more of it.

And as soon as the time for the class is over, Vali immediately jetted out of the room. He did not want to be bombarded in a similar manner as the crowd had done previously.

Even though Vali felt contented and happy to know that the perspective of the Asgardians towards him is better than before, he did not know how long it would last.

As he had only gained their respect through his strength, he wondered whether if he could lose their respect as quick as he had gained them. Vali thought that such a thing might not be too far fetched if someone stronger and better than him comes along.

And even to his father, Vali did not dare reveal all of his cards, he did not want to tell him his real ability. He wanted to keep them a secret and surprise him so that he could gain the respect of his father when he performed feats and showed strength above what Odin should have thought that Vali would possess.

Even in Hela's case, although Vali begins to care a bit about her due to the fact that they had spent more time together and now have a better relationship between them, he knows that he had only gained her respect because of his strength. And as the memories of how Hela had treated him before he could beat her is still extremely fresh, he emotionally distances himself from her.

Due to this, Vali did not truly want to help her, he is afraid that if Hela surpassed him or grow too much in strength, it would be like the past all over again.

But most important of all, Vali could not reveal all of his cards to anyone for he feared that Angerboda might get wind of it.

In his heart, Vali knew that doing such a thing to his father and his sister is a bit wrong. But due to his unlucky streak, he did not dare gamble it.

...

And as the rune class is over, Vali headed for his next class which is Languages.

Similar to the room of the rune class, the classroom for Languages is huge, it could be comparable to the size of a small auditorium.

But, unlike the rune class, Vali did not have to deal with a crowd of students as soon as he entered the room. And as this is a language class, although the room is big, not even half of the seats are filled. This is because Asgardians, as a race loves fighting and respect strength, they did not care much about skills that will not help them increase their strength.

And this language class is taught by a woman named Yaloni. And unlike the rune class, it was not all theory class as Yaloni would encourage the students to talk to each other in the different languages of the nine realms.

As such, Vali talked with a man sitting beside him with other languages of the nine realms. And as Vali possess a level 5 All Speak skill, he could fluently communicate in different languages while the person he is talking to kept stumbling on his words.

Due to him constantly talking to others Vali did not feel bored at all. And before he knew it, the class was already over. Because of this class, Vali almost forgot about what had happened in the rune magic class. As he is too absorbed in secretly smiling at the person who is trying his best but still barely able to speak in the language they had a conversation, and due to the fact that his ability to speak in other languages is getting better and better, he had almost forgotten how bored he was in the rune class.
