Home Base

A month passed since the smuggler problem. Qrow had stayed for a few days while he finished what he had to do for Ozpin about the Grimm Lord. Thought before he left, he made some calls to Atlas about the smuggler's boss since he was working out of Atlas. Linzay and Joey asked if they could stay after everything blows over because they wanted to restart their lives fresh, away from all the cities. After a extremely long talk with Ghira and Sienna, they were allowed to stay under the condition that they have to be monitored and have to live in a special house for it. Ava, Blake, and Eva had become sworn sisters and pestered Logan whenever they get the chance. And to keep himself grounded, Logan had taken to isolating himself in the valley of the [Dust Gems], as he came to call it. It came to the point that even he made a base camp in a cave he found. Though base camp is putting it nicely, Logan had all but built himself a house in the valley. And during this month, Logan managed to uncover several new gems in addition to the [Dragon's Fire] and [Fenrir's Heart], as well as complete [Rome Rebirth] faster them he had planed.

[Mission Start! Mission: Rome Rebirth : Rebuild and strengthen Kuo Kuana until it stands tall ageist other kingdoms!

Complete Volume one of your Plans! 1/1

Rewards: The Ace of Spades [The Last Hand] {Destiny 2} (Uses dust as ammo)]

The first new addition of the gems was an amethyst of unworldly proportions. A perfect sphere of deep violet color that could match the night sky. And underneath the surface, what could only be described as a galaxy of stars. Logan had name this gem [Nyx's Light]. (Greek Mythology)

The next was a emerald jade in the shape of a teardrop. The vibrant color and shape gave the feeling of sorrow to those long since passed. Under it's surface, it appeared as countless winds swirled around in a perfect vortex. The 'eye' gave the appearance that this teardrop came from a crying eye. Logan had dubbed this gem [Njord's Tear], due to its shape and the massive amount of winds it created when shaped. (Norse Mythology)

The third was an odd one Logan called [Gaia's Cradle] (Aquinto). It is an topaz that looked normal at first glance. But upon closer inspection, underneath the surface was littered with a multitude of colors ranging from red to blue to green. After awhile, you could finally grasp what you were seeing. Underneath the surface of the topaz, appeared to be a vibrant world. A planet isolated where nature runs free and without restraint.

The fourth was a pearl of pure white. A perfect sphere. A white so bright and clean that nothing could taint it. Dubbed the [Serpent's Breath] (Norse Mythology. Figure it out on your own ;) ).

The final one Logan uncovered was the most powerful. A unnaturally large diamond. Though crystal clear, numerous different colors of lightning arced inside the diamond. Red, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple, violet, cyan, and orange; all racing each other inside their diamond enclosure. Out of all of them, the System was the one that named this gem.

Once Logan was finished cutting and polishing this, the System blared. Alarms were raised, sirens were blaring, warnings were displayed one after another. Almost knocking Logan out from them alone.

[WARNING! WARNING! RELIC OF AN OLD GOD DISCOVERED! RANK: IMMEASURABLE SCANNING.... IDENTIFIED: Raiden's spark : Raiden, the god of lightning, anger, and creation. This jewel is one of two and contains a portion of the god's power.]

Needless to say, Logan was both surprised and terrified of what he held. After finding this diamond, Logan stored all of the gems in his [Void Storage]. For fear of what they could be used for in the wrong hands.

Logan could now be seen at the entrance to his base camp in the {Valley of Dust Gems}, reinforcing the front of a crudely built wall. The wall surrounded a simple shack, outhouse, and fire pit. The shack and outhouse were made from rough sawn boards, iron nails, and thatch roofing. The fire pit was dug down about a foot and was made with three levels in mind. The top was made for cooking, the middle was made for fuel, and the bottom layer was made to move ash away from the fuel before it could build up and smother the fire. The wall was made from several thin logs that were sunk into the ground. At four points on the wall, rough sawn boards were nailed horizontally to the logs. The walls were enough to keep the majority of Grimm out, if any came around. But hidden by a clump of trees and brush, was a small cave entrance. Unless you knew what to look for, the cave couldn't be seen. The entrance was big enough for a fully grown man to enter if they squeezed themselves in. This cave was a hidden armory and workshop Logan made to hide his more dangerous creations and blueprints.

Once Logan finished reinforcing the wall, the ventured into his hidden cave. As Logan enters the cave entrance, he is met with a large metal door. Similar to that of a bank vault. After walking over to a hidden panel, Logan removed it and entered a 10 digit code that caused the vault door to open. As the door opened, the inside of the vault had metal floors, wall, and ceiling with fluorescent lightning. Scatter around were different workbenches meant for different things. One was a lathe, another was an ammo-press, a third was an smelter that had many air vents around it. Off to one wall was a cot, desk, and a metal filing cabinet marked for different blue-prints. At first glance, everything looked to be in a mess, but as one would walk through it, they would notice that it was more organized then one would expect. Logan made his way over to the desk that was covered in paper. The desk could be described as an blueprint designer's dream desk. The base was made from metal and had mechanism that adjusted the angle the desk sat at. The desk top was made from glass and had a light that shined through it. Almost all of it was funded by the weapon he received from the mission after selling it and a good portion of his [Store Points].

Currently on the desk was a design for a new type of fiber, one capable of being fire, water, and rip and tear proof. Most of all, it was a breathable fabric with plenty of uses. An example of this was given to Logan when he found it.

[ Multi-weave Fabric: A fabric with many unique properties, made from a multitude of different fibers. Such as fire proof, water proof, shear proof, thermal insulated, breathable, and toxin dampener.

Toxin dampener: if the fabric comes into contact with a substance that has or is toxic, the fabric will block 75-80% of it, depending on the type of toxin.]

Something that Logan was drooling over ever since he found a bolt of cloth with similar properties. However, it was priced at 1,000sp per 3ft bolt of cloth and there was no blue-print for it. Logan bit the bullet and bought 6 feet of it and has been trying to replicate it by studying the cloth. It has been over a week and Logan had little luck in doing so.

Logan: 'I've spent too much time here on Menagerie.' Logan thought as he cleared off the desk. Sorting the miscellaneous papers scattered around it. 'I need to get off the island and go... anywhere else. I'm missing too many important dates. Mountain Glenn has already been attack by Grimm, Raven most likely already has the powers of the Spring Maiden, the Penny Project should have started already. What else? Tyrian. Tyian should be in Salem's group by now. Cinder should have already recruited Emerald and Mercury. That's all before the before the start of the show, but the problem is that I don't have concrete dates and times. Cinder is probably a lost cause to save. She lost her family when she activated her semblance. She burnt her village down and showed little remorse. It mostly broke her mentally. Emerald was a pickpocket from the slum of Mistral. She never knew her parent as they thrown her away. Mercury was a child assassin, as was his father, and enjoys killing. He even went as far as killing his own father when their house was attacked. Well, even I can understand that as his father was abusive and stole his semblance, but still. There is no helping him, he has to die. Emerald has a chance, lets hope she takes it whole heartily.'

Logan thought this all as he started a new blue-print. It was more of an outfit design that he would wear when he was doing 'Wet Work'. The outfit consisted of a pair of dark colored pants of the cloth he was working on with a pair of combat boots of a similar color. A pair of shin guards covered his shins and the back of his calves and the sides. A pair of knee guards covered his knees. On his right thigh, was a holster similar to those of the G.I. JOE Snake Eyes. One that was semi magnetic and had straps to help hold the gun in place. His left was a piece of armor shaped to his thigh. On the waist of the drawing was a belt that doubled as a hidden short blade. Logan decided to have a long sleeved shirt with built in elbow pads, instead of a short sleeved one. Then on the drawing's forearms, a pair of bracers made in mind with a durable metal in mind, Logan was undecided on what to use for them. For the chest, Logan decided to have a rig that emphasized on ammo and magazines that are ready available. Armor was second to him as with aura, it was unneeded, but a minimum was need in case. A knife sheath and a back-up pistol holster were strapped to the rig as well. For gloves, Logan took inspiration from Black Panther (Movie). He designed a pair of gloves that had retractable claws and had a similar clinging mechanism to help Logan cling to walls or scale them. Moving up to the drawing's face and neck, Logan was going over Emerald's and Mercury's past as he randomly doodled. Shaking his head, Logan broke from his thoughts to see what he had doodled. The drawing's neck and lower face/mouth had a respirator-like mask made from the [Multi-weave Fabric]. Without much thought, Logan finished the mask, giving it a skull like look. Moving up to the eyes, just made some simple protective glasses. As a helmet, Logan went a different way and drew a grey beanie.

Logan looked over the finished product of what he drew. Nodding his head in approval, Logan took out his [Custom Armor Crate] from his [Void Storage]. What came out was a large black metal crate as tall as a fully grown man. After examining it for a bit, Logan asked the system.

Logan: "Hey, System. How do I use this crate again? All I can see from it is some type of black metal."

[Answer. It works with the system. Open the store/armor section and input what you want. The final product will be 95% off of the total price for it individually. However, since you drew how you wanted it to look, you can just have it scanned via the interface. Please note that the armor will come with a property that makes it enlarge and shrink for the Host and the Host alone.]

Logan: "Thanks." Logan replied as he quickly scanned his drawing. "Lets see. Fabric Material type: Multi-Weave Fabric. Armor Material type? Hmm... Lets go with [Vibranium]. Hey! I can afford it! At least it won't be by any means weak. But, I'll be out almost all of my [Shop Points]... It's worth it in the end. After all, [Vibranium] is near indestructible. Plus it will add a good deal of protection as well."

[Do you wish to accept? {Yes} {No}? Price: 4,500sp]

A new notification popped up after Logan was done with his designing. After double checking that everything was right, Logan hit {Yes} and accepted the transaction. Once the screen disappeared, the metal crate started to brake down as if it was a digital construct. What stood after was a manikin that was the size of Logan and it was wearing his armor/outfit design.

Logan: "Well, that was the last of my sp. If I'm correct, I should have only 150-ish sp left. Even with the minuscule I get from my daily workout, I need more. Now more then ever. I still have to get my weapons that I'm used to. As much as I love [Ebony & Ivory], they stand out too much. There eye-catching and easily identifiable. The [Predator Bow] can be used as my open carry. It's light, reliable, and easily repairable as it's not that complicated for this world. I'll have to get a quiver for the arrows though. Thankfully, it can shoot regular arrows and ones that have dust modifications to them. The arrows I got with it are way too expensive." Logan talked to himself as he examined the armor that came out of the crate. Once he was satisfied, Logan stored the stand/manikin in his [Void Storage]. Logan then left his hidden workshop cave. Logan stretched in the open, basking in the sunlight.
