Returning Home (1)

Logan sighed as he woke up and rubbed his eyes. After the battle with the Titanoboa, logan had just flown to the closest town and rented a room at an Inn/Bar. He was mentally tired and physically drained even though the fight was short. He didn't even bother stripping down when he got into the room, just fell asleep with the clothes he wore when he was fighting the Titanoboa.

Setting up, Logan sat on the edge of the bed as he scratched the back of his head. His mind was still groggy from sleep as he stood up, stripped, and burned his clothes as they were trashed from the fight. Glancing around the room, he saw a door leading off to the side that leads to a bathroom he was grateful for as it had a shower. After Logan trudged and cleaned himself, Logan pulled a clean set of clothes from his [Inventory] and got dressed.

Logan left the room and walked down the stairs from the second floor he was on. The stairs opened out into a large open area with a bar right next to the stars and facing the front door. Logan walked up to the bar and sat down as a man dressed in a dirty, loose white shirt and grey pants came up to him.

Bartender: "Morning, Hunter." The Bartender greeted Logan. "You've been out like a light for the last two days. Had to check up on you to make sure you didn't die."

Logan: "Thanks, I guess." Logan mumbled then asked. "Can I get a coffee and something to eat?"

Bartender: "The coffee will be done in a minute and the breakfast platter will be 75 Lein total." The Bartender said as Logan paid the man. "Anyway, what did you fight to look like you did? Must have been one hell of a fight."

Logan: "Five of these didn't even scratch it." Logan mumbled as he pulled a bullet for [Sidewinder] out of his [Inventory] but made it look like his pocket.

Bartender: "Damn," The Bartender gasped as he looked at the round. "Did you kill it?"

Logan: "I'm here aren't I?" Logan asked sarcastically.

Bartender: "Fair enough." The Bartender chuckled and left to get Logan his breakfast and coffee.

The bartender came back and placed Logan's order in front of him and then left to go and deal with other patrons. Logan just sat and quietly ate his food as he listened in on the conversations going on inside the Inn. Nothing caught his attention except that there was a massive earthquake a few days ago. Logan figured it was his fault when he threw his hammer at the Titanoboa. But from what he could hear, there was no damage done to the town because of it.

Logan just shook his head and finished his food and ordered a second cup of coffee. As the bartender refilled Logan's coffee, a group of people entered the Inn. The first to enter kicked the door to the Inn open and nearly took it off the hinges. The second and third acted like they owned the place as entered and a fourth came in right behind them. Logan just ignored them as they began shouting something.

Logan didn't bother with them as they weren't bothering him as he continued to drink his coffee. That was until he felt the barrel of a gun against his head. Suppressing a sigh, Logan finished his coffee and turned to face the idiot that held the gun.

Thug: "Didn't you hear the boss?" The thug asked with a sneer.

Logan: "Should I care?" Logan asked back as his ash spread on the ground unnoticed.

Thug 2: "What a dumbass." A second thug chuckled and pointed to the last thug to walk in. "We work for Logan Scarlett! And if-"

Logan: "Stop! I heard enough." Logan said as he raised his hand, causing the four thugs to smirk. "I can't believe how many idiots flock together. Next time, make sure the one your impersonating isn't right in front of you."

Before they could wonder what Logan meant, he snapped his fingers and his ash wrapped them up into a nice, neat ball with their heads sticking out. Logan walked up to them and picked up the handgun the one thug dropped before crouching down to look at them. Their eyes were glaring daggers at Logan, but their mouths were gagged so they couldn't make a sound.

Logan: "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Logan Scarlett. The one you just tried to impersonate." Logan said flatly which caused their eyes to widen in fear as he pulled out his Hunter's license. "And you've caught me at a very bad time. Hey, Bartender! Does this town have a police station or something?"

Bartender: "No, the guards usually deal with criminals." The Bartender answered. "But they've been in town for a few weeks now and they're too afraid to deal with them! I think I speak for the whole town when I say you can deal with them however you want!" The Bartender shouted and got agreement from the other patrons inside the Inn.

Logan: "No problem, they'll be out of this town's hair in a bit." Logan answered them as he got up. "I deal with them once I shop for what I need. I'll be back in a little bit." Logan called as he left the inn/bar.

Logan took his time as he walked around the morning market the town had. He ended up buying fruit, vegetables, and some high-quality coffee beans cheaper than his [System: Store] had for sale along with some more dust that Logan was running short on and helping out some people here and there. By the time Logan got back to the inn/bar, the town's guards were waiting for him.

The guards thanked Logan for capturing the thugs since they weren't strong or brave enough. Apparently, the fake Logan was able to destroy several Ursas at one time and basically overthrew the town's mayor in all but name. With their capture, the town could return to its once splendor.

Logan didn't care and just told them that he was doing what any person would have done to them as he picked them up with one hand. As he walked out of the inn/bar, the guard and the town's people thanked him. Logan just waved to them as he took off into the sky and headed for Vale then Patch.

The valley that Logan had fought the Titanoboa in was on the border between the Kingdoms of Vale and Vacuo. And now said valley is a massive, empty crater from Logan's hammer. The entire valley was at least five times deeper and wider after the fight.

Logan was annoyed that he had to drop his hammer on the Titanoboa to kill it. The valley was beautiful and had a nice mild temperature even in the middle of summer. Several ponds that had a good number of fish in them along with massive trees that towered at nearly 200 feet tall. And to top it all off, the sides of the valley had large, deep veins of Dust that were ripe for mining. Needless to say, Logan was annoyed with the loss of that valley.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts of the valley, Logan found himself far enough away from the town to deal with the thugs. With a simple thought, the thugs were wrapped in crimson flames and turned to dust in less than a second. Logan didn't care about them as what he could find made them out to be people that the world would be fine without.

Nothing major about them except one was a rapist and he got the girl pregnant. Logan gave some money to the girl to help get her life back on track after the incident. Whether she kept the child or not was up to her, Logan had no say in it as it was her life and body.

Logan then put it out of his mind as he flew to Vale. He had a date with a pretty blonde that he wasn't going to miss. Though it's gonna be a surprise visit.

{With Glynda a few hours later}

Glynda sighed as she went through the tests she gave out earlier that day. She had to sub for Professor Port as his wife had an accident earlier today that she was admitted to a hospital. Since it was on such short notice and she was the only other Professor that had free time, Glynda was picked for a substitute.

It didn't help that most of Port's classes were about nonsense or as he would put it, 'experiences in his youth'. Glynda was 90% sure that of the stories he told, were either outright wrong or exaggerated to the extreme. But she had to deal with it as all the tests were about them. And with a heavy hand, Glynda finished the last of the tests for today.

As Glynda leaned back and stretched her arms above her head, a pair of arms wrapped themselves around her waist. She would have immediately shot the chair she was in back with her semblance if it wasn't for the familiar warmth they brought. She didn't even need to open her eyes to see who it was as a chin rested itself on her shoulder.

Glynda: "Hello, Logan." Glynda said, her eyes still closed, as she basked in the familiar warmth and smokey smell that stuck to Logan even after a shower. "I thought you were heading to Patch after you dealt with the Titanoboa."

Logan: "Well, that thing caused me more trouble than it was worth." Logan told her truthfully as he hugged her. "Five shots from [Sidewinder] didn't do much to it and I had to drop my hammer on it."

Glynda: "You sound annoyed, you okay?" Glynda asked as she placed her hands on his arms and turned to look at him.

Logan: "That place I found it at was beautiful." Logan said as his scroll appeared in his hand. "Take a look for yourself."

Glynda: "Wow, it's so beautiful." Glynda said in awe as Logan showed her pictures of what the valley once looked like.

Logan: "It was." Logan said as a picture of what it now looks like appeared on his scroll. "This is what it looks like now. I just wished I didn't drop my hammer."

Glynda: "What happened?" Glynda asked.

Logan: "The Titanoboa was able to command around a thousand lower class Grimm and use complex strategies with ease." Logan revealed to her. "With how high I was up when I threw my hammer, the Titanoboa and the Grimm with it looked like a sea of black water. As soon as my hammer hit the ground, the active gravity dust inside it reacted to an underground vein of burn dust. What you see is the aftereffect of a chain reaction from other veins." Logan explained then sighed. "I thought it was just my hammer that caused it, but I realized what happened after I found what was left of my hammer."

Glynda: "How much survived?" Glynda asked.

Logan: "Just this." Logan said as he pulled out a melted cone-like object that was once the spike on the bottom of his hammer. "It's gonna be a pain to rebuild it, but oh well."

Glynda: "I see, but that doesn't explain why you're here. Not that I'm complaining mind you." Glynda said as she pecked his cheek.

Logan: "I gave Ozpin my report and take on the battle with the Titanoboa as well as possible abilities with the other Titans." Logan spoke as he nuzzled her neck. "But, the main reason I'm here is for you. I need some time with you or I'm gonna go crazy."

Glynda: "Good, I need a pick me up." Glynda said as she got up and grabbed Logan by his shirt collar. "I need some stress relief after having to grade tests on Port's stories or I'm gonna go mental!"

Loagn didn't ask why she had to and just picked her up in a princess carry. By the time Glynda realized what was happening, the two of them were inside Logan's dorm. Glynda took the lead as soon as Logan laid her down on the bed. Before Logan could even blink, Glynda straddled his waist and was smiling deviously down at him.

Logan just gulped at the tantalizing sight of Glynda removing her top and her purple bra that were now exposed. Glynda didn't say anything as she attacked Logan's lips with her's, but Logan didn't need words to understand her. Ever since Logan marked her with his magic, the two of them had a very basic form of telepithy. The most either one of them could do was send emotions and that's about it. And right now the two of them were lusting for each other.

{With Salem and Ozpin}

Salem: "I wonder when Glynda will tell him?" Salem wondered out loud, catching the attention of her lover.

Ozpin: "What would Glynda tell and who may I ask?" Ozpin asked as he finished up some paper work for Vale's council.

Salem: "Do you remember the time before our daughters were born? When I didn't know I was pregnant" Salem asked to which Ozpin nodded.

Ozpin: "Good times, good times." Ozpin said as he remembered a better time. "You were quiet-" He stopped, his words died in his voice as he looked at his wife.

Salem just smiled at the unspoken question.
