"Young Miss, I understand why we need to search in these three countries for they are close to our country. But, why Dutril?" Henry was curious. To get to Dutril, one had to take a transit flight from two more countries. The flight time was really long for a one-trip journey.
"It is the only country closest to Osana. Mr. Herold's twin and Willow Jr. lived in Osana once,"
Henry immediately understood. His Young Miss wanted him to search in every country that has the possibility of her uncle's location.
"Young Miss, I understand. I will complete this task as soon as possible," Henry spoke with confidence. Camellia smiled upon hearing Henry's serious tone. She knew she could trust him.
"By the way, Brother Henry, what about the member of the Madforged? How did you meet him?" Camellia could detect a slight change in Henry's expression when he gave the report earlier. She felt that something amusing must have happened.
"That- I befriended him," Henry chuckled as he tried to calm down. But his eyes gave him away. He was still hiding something.
"Hmm?" Camellia titled her head. One of her eyebrows was lifted. She was determined to force the answer out of this serious man.
"That. The man was gay and I somehow- This is embarrassing Young Miss," Henry ran his fingers on his hair. He could only smile bitterly when he heard Camellia laughed her heart out.
"Young Miss-" Henry tried to get the attention of the woman on the screen who seemed unable to stop laughing. He recalled how he had pretended to be in love with the man just to get the information. Thankfully, he was in disguised, the moment he got everything he wanted, he ran away.
"I'm sorry. Good job, Brother Henry!" Camellia held her stomach as she gave praises. She knew Henry was feeling embarrassed. The man who was shy to both genders had man up just to acquire such important information. She applauded for his effort.
"Brother Henry, please inform sister Ariana that I have emailed something to her. Also, tell her to execute everything perfectly," Camellia reminded him after calming down. Seeing Henry nodded, she bid farewell and the room once again return to its quiet atmosphere.
Camellia used a voice command to send the whole room to a hibernation mood. She walked up the stairs and reached the floor of her study room. With a pattern tap on the floor, the stairs vanished from her sight.
She continued to walk toward the kitchen to make herself a simple dinner. Tonight, she would like to eat fried spaghetti. As she prepared the ingredient, she remembered the thing that she had long forgotten.
"Ahh!" she exclaimed as she recalled the matter. Then, she increased her speed in preparing dinner. Thirty minutes later, she was already sitting on the dining table while munching on the food that was slightly burnt due to the rush.
Ignoring the weird taste inside her mouth, Camellia kept munching while her eyes stared at the phone in front of her.
To call or not to call? she sighed.
It was only at the last spoon did she picked the phone and reluctantly dialed a number. She tapped on the loudspeaker and stood up to get her a glass of water.
"The number you have dialed is-" she immediately ended the call the moment she heard the automated answering machine.
"Am I hated now? I must be," she mumbled as she once again dialed the number. When she heard the voice of the automated machine again, she sighed.
Was her action too much during their meeting that the man refused to answer her phone call? Camellia nibbled her lower lips as she felt disappointed at herself. She shouldn't be too harsh the next time she talked to him. Besides, he was no longer unimportant. She needed his help to execute her next step.
But would that man help her? What was the relationship between him and the Cains? Realizing that she had a lot of questions unanswered, Camellia once again felt annoyed at what she had done. Then, she heard a subtle sound came from her phone. She looked at the screen and noticed that a stranger had sent her a message.
[Miss Camellia, please contact me on this number. I'll return your call tomorrow. - CHARLIE]
Camellia almost jumped in shock. Good! Even though the tone on that short message was formal, at least he promised to contact her. She hummed happily. Her mood improved for the better knowing that she still had the chance to show him, her kinder side.
[Sure.]
Camellia sent a one-word reply in case Charlie still thought badly of her. She thought that going overboard with the reply would decrease the chance to talk with him in the future. Hence, she was being careful.
Unknown to her, in one of the residences at Colosseum Estate, a man was flabbergasted as he stared at the screen of his phone.
"Is she that indifferent?" Charlie stroke his hair. His face was flustered. Earlier, he was really surprised when he noticed two missed calls from Camellia. He deliberately used his other phone to avoid mixing up his little rabbit's chats to hers. Moreover, he thought that she would detect the underlined message he tried to deliver. He was playing hard to get! Alas, that one-word response had stated her indifference and insensitivity.
'Not good. My mind is full of her again!' Charlie felt his face flushed. Hence, to get rid of the accumulating thought of her, he went outside and ran until he felt tired. The cool breeze of the night calmed his mind. Knowing that it was almost midnight, he went inside, took a bath and then proceed to sleep.
Thankfully, the run had managed to exhaust him that he no longer had the energy to spend time thinking of anything else. He fell asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow.
