Silver POV
I waited till Surria and her friends were gone before I summoned the Fates. And by summoned I mean I simple shouted "Fates I completed my task now get over here!" Sure it was impolite but after the last couple months I've had I wasn't really worried about my manners. The Fates flashed in a moment later. "Here's the stuff you asked me to get now I want some answers." I said.
Lachesis grabbed the tusks and feathers from me and held them out for Atropos who started chanting something but the one I was focused on the most was Clotho "First off what's with my blood?" I asked.
"As I said before your blood is a result of your age, when your father attempted to send you into the future we interfered and instead kept you in a form of stasis, asleep and unaging."
"Why would you choose to keep me in some corner of your cave instead of just letting go to the future the way my father wanted me to?" I asked pawsitively enraged.
"That would be because of our mother." Clotho said "During her final days she managed to glimpse the future, in it Tartarus ruled absolutely destroying anything that got it his way. His brothers were faded, their energy having been absorbed by Tartarus. Gaea was imprisoned and fiends like we've never known ran free across the world".
Clotho was temporarily interrupted when the objects I gave her sisters started crackling but continued "Horrified by what she had seen our mother looked for a way to prevent it. Out of every possible chain of events she only one that even had a possibility. You and your father were the key to that plan." she said.
"How?" I asked.
"When your father attempted to send you into the future he transferred all the energy you had found at the mountain into you thinking that you would appear roughly 200 years later. We did what we did so the energy would have time to mix with your own and bond with you. As part of this process you were made immortal so your body could handle the power causing you blood to change color once you started aging again."
"Ok two things." I said "First shouldn't my blood have turned gold not silver? And second I thought immortals didn't age.".
"Immortals can age if they want to but most don't preferring to look younger. You were never aware you could do that so you never even tried." Clotho explained "As for why your blood is silver instead of gold that is in relation to your 4th task that we seeded among your other 3, to discover your domains".
"My domains?".
"Yes because you have absorbed portion of the power Chronous we decided that you should take his place as a primordial." Clotho said making an image appear of Killien, Maria, and Travis
"In your first task to cleanse our forest you saw the good in them when others would have only seen monsters." she said.
The image changed to that creepy english teacher. "In your second task you refused to to give in to her advances. You did what you knew to be morally right when most others would have given in to her wishes."
Again the image changed now showing me Hercules "In your third task you chose to give Hercules a punishment that satisfied justice rather than your own thirst for vengeance. And finally when you met Daniel you chose to take him in and try to teach him how to fix his mistakes whereas most would have just seen his past crimes and not the boy seeking redemption."
"Your are Silver the primordial god of Justice, Redemption, Hope, and Purity." Clotho said. "And at Pan's request you are to inherit his domain over the wild."
"Hope? Purity? How did I get those domains?" I asked.
"You have Hope because that's what you've been to Rome. Since you met their people your words have been their guiding star. The Romans even hold a feast in your honor, an entire day of celebration for the hope you gave them and their belief in you. You are their greatest symbol of hope." Clotho said softly
"And finally purity, since the day you first receive your sword you have become the standard for what a holy man is to become. Despite your age you stood up to Atlas when you were barely 11. On that day an image became ingrained in the minds of the people. An image of a wise man weilding a silver blade against the darkness. At times your youth showed but you never caused that image to waver." The goddess explained.
"Even after we set our plans in motion you kept on fighting the darkness. You reach out with your mind whispering in the ears of the strong and powerful urging them to take a better path. Those that were willing to listen looked back on the image you unintentionally left behind and tried to model themselves after it. As the centuries passed your name became synonymous with the color you so loved and the metal became imbued with power. Silver itself became capable of slaying monsters and repelling evil. That is the legacy you left and that is why no other can wield the domain of purity."
"Sadly it seems that waking from your slumber has left your memories in disarray. In time they will return much like have already done but we cannot wait that long."
It was so much to process I didn't even know where to begin. The idea that I could be someone that important just felt alien to me, but I like she said I didn't have time to worry about it. "How does my father fit into this?" I asked setting everything else aside for now.
"In our mother's vision she saw that before Tartarus made his move he would use two other wars to weaken the Olympians. To counter his efforts we sent your father to lead them through the wars. For those two wars he would have no idea of his true identity. He would have to make his own way like before." Clotho said.
"Then what?" I asked.
"That's all our mother was able to see." Clotho said remorsefully "From this point on we're all going to have to "wing it" as they say. But we do have have one last gift for you.".
Clotho stepped aside to reveal Lachesis holding an Ivory staff with a 9 point star at the top "This was forged from the feathers and tusks you gathered and imbued with all of Pan's remaining energy. Its our last gift to you, now it's up to you on how you proceed".
"Wait. What about the Nemean lion's pelt?" I asked.
"That is for you to use" Lachesis said.
Though it would be cool to have I had no use for the pelt. The weight of it would hinder me more than the pelt would help. "Could you take this to my mom for me?" I asked, Clotho nodded.
"Two more things." Atropos said "One you're about to have company and two remember while you are the weakest of all the primordials you are also the least bound by the ancient laws. You have a flexibility none before you have ever had" she said before flashing out with her sisters.
Surria POV (1 hour later)
"So how do you know my brother?" I asked Luke.
"Well to be honest I don't really know him." Luke said "I just sort of met him when I died, he took me to Elysium saying that I had proved myself a true hero in the end".
"I met him too." Beckendorf said "When Silena died he brought me from Elysium to meet her and take her back with me.".
I was flat out confused, I knew my brother had a knack for the impossible but I just couldn't understand how he could do that. "Has anyone else noticed that we're not getting wet despite the fact it's still raining" Ethan said.
"That's probably Silvers doing." I said "He has a lot of skill with controlling storms". A few seconds later we broke the tree line.
"You think this is the place he was talking about?" Silena asked.
"Who are you?" someone asked before I could reply. To my left there was a boy with blond hair standing next to some animal…a boar I think.
"Are you Daniel?" I asked, he nodded "Silver sent us." I said showing him the necklace Silver gave me.
"Oh…well welcome." he said gesturing to a small fire he had built near the boar "So how do you guys know Silver?" he asked.
"Well me and Beck only met him once but Surria here is his older sister." Luke said.
Daniel who was taking a drink from his water bottle seemed to nearly choke on it when Luke said that
"You're his sister?" he asked.
"Yeah." I replied trying to figure out his dumbstruck reaction. he looked like he was about to say something else but a growl from the woods cut him off.
Athena POV (30 minutes earlier)
We showed up at the spot where he was supposed to be a little later than we wanted because of this storm make air travel so difficult. "So where is he?" Dionysus asked already annyoed by the rain.
"Looking for me?" we turned around to find him standing there, he looked just how Hemes described him windswept black hair, sunglasses, and a silver cloak.
"As a matter of fact we were." I said "I am Athena goddess of Wisdom of the Olympian council, these two are Hermes god of Messengers and Dionysus god of Wine also of the Olympian council.".
"I know." he replied "Took you a bit longer to get here then I thought it would".
"You knew we were coming?" Hermes asked.
"Yep".
"Then I assume you know why we're here then" I said.
"To get me to join you in the upcoming war instead of accept the offer Hermes witnessed Prometheus give me." He said.
"You knew I was there?" Hermes asked obviously a little thrown off that this man knew he was there. "
"Yeah you really need to rein in your energy if you want to spy on someone without getting caught." he said.
"If you don't mind me asking but who are you?" Dionysus asked.
"Sorry but I can't tell that for now my identity must remain a secret." he said.
"And why is that?" I asked.
"You're the goddess of wisdom think about it. Oceanus may have asked nicely for me to join him once but now that I've refused his offer he'll use anything he can to force me to join. However I am also known as the Sentinel of Rome but you can just call me Sentinel." he said.
I nodded "Well then Sentinel will you help us?" I asked.
"Yes I will but I've got a few things to I need to take care of first. I'll meet you on Olympus after the battle at new Rome." he said.
"What kinds of things?" Dionysus asked.
Sentinel drew a long emerald blade "Do you know what this is?" he asked".
"The sword of Perseus guardian of Artemis." I immediately replied, he nodded.
"Just before for he died Perseus intrusted this sword to me and asked that I return it when he was reborn, now that he's back it's time I made good on my oath…" he said trailing off at the last part, his brow creased "I've got to go but Hermes I need you to tell the Romans the Sentinel of Rome is back.".
Artemis POV
"So what are you going to do when Perseus and Silver come back" Thalia asked, it was near midnight and the rest of the hunters had already gone to bed except for Zoe who had started this whole conversation by simple saying she was excited to see Perseus again.
"I don't know, I guess I'll have to do this slowly so the girls don't freak." I said "I'll also need to get another tent for them to stay in since all the ones we have now are full". I looked over at only to find Zoe she had apparently fallen asleep somewhere along the line with a big smile on her face. "Well she's in a good mood" Thalia said.
"Can you blame her, her little brother is coming back." I laughed.
"Brother!" she half shouted in surprise. I nodded "Perseus is well was the youngest child of Pleione, she had an affair with Poseidon and Perseus was the product. Pleione was afraid about what might happen to her if any one found out so she turned Perseus into a mortal and attempted to kill him. Zoe found out what her mother was planning and made her swear on Styx that she wouldn't kill him." I explained.
"The next day Pleione left Mount Othrys with Perseus and came back a week later without him, Zoe assumed her mother had given him to another family to raise him but she was wrong. Pleione had taken him to the other side a Greece and left him to the wolves." I said.
"That's horrible!"
"Agreed" I replied "But Perseus lucked out and ended up being raised by a group of forest nymphs and even became a child of the forest."
"What's a child of the forest" Thalia asked.
"It's kind of like having a sixth sense, your reflexes are faster you can sense danger sooner and even pass through the trees like a nymph".
"Is that why you and Zoe joke that your sister's?" I asked.
"Yep." I said as the Fates flashed in, I quickly stood up and bowed.
"To what do we own the pleasure?" I asked.
"Your son asked us to give this to you." Clotho said handing me a lion's pelt 'wait this is the Nemean lion's pelt' I looked up to asked them how Silver got this but they were already gone.
