After staying hidden from her world for 3 years, she came back not knowing what will be waiting for her.

Just Let Me Go

She walked out the room and made her way over to her Grandfather's home office. Her mind was running faster then her body and creating all the stories in it that is causing a headache to start nagging. 


"What happened to Xin the past few years? Why is he so rude now? Is this the real him? Did I break him when I left? Oh my God... what if I did? I remember the reports that came back every other week from the detectives that I have hired did not tell me that he has changed so much. But... But... But... Sigh... he still makes my heart pound. He is even more handsome then I remembered.... ... ... ... "


Unknowingly, her thoughts and her feet brought her to stand in front of the office. Opening and stepping in, the first thought that came to her mind is "What now? What should I do? I came back to the main house to visit that old Fart now I need to work. I hate all this paperwork. I still dont understand how Grandmother does it. She does this as if it is a walk in the park. What about Xin? What am I going to say? What should I do? Breath. Breath. Breath. Deep breaths, Dear. Panic attack along the way. Breath."


She took deep breaths calming her nerves. 


She was suddenly called back to the main house out of the blue just because of one call from her Grandfather. 


"Fei Fei, I need to talk to you. come back home for dinner tomorrow. I'll get Sam to drive you back. I'm not taking no for an answer." He quickly hangs up and left her hanging. 


Now that she is sitting at the dining table with her Grandfather, she stared at him waiting for him to start talking. 


"Fei Fei, eat. all these are your favourite. Come don't be shy. Come on. We will eat and talk at the same time. How have my favourite granddaughter been? You have been teaching for a year or two now am I right?"


"Grandfather, why don't you just tell me what is it that you want this time?"


He heave out a sigh giving up on distracting his granddaughter. 


"You know, after your Grandmother left last month, I have been pretty tired and lonely. My own children and grandchildren hardly visits me. I'm really so lonely that I might die with the title of world loneliness man."


"But Grandfather you know why I'm not visiting much. I have moved on and this is my new life."


"Dearest, I know. But the past is already behind us. You have already fully recovered from the cancer that you had 3 years ago and we have already changed a new identity for you. Why not just move back in to accompany this old man in his last days? Are you so cruel just to leave this old man this way and only come back when I ask you to? Darling, why did you leave me so soon? Why did you not bring me along with you?"


As he wailed dramatically, Fei Fei was having a splitting headache listening to him, knowing very well that all he wanted to do is to guilt her into moving back to the main house.


"Didn't you say Xin visits you every week? I dont think with him around you will be this lonely. Plus a house full of servants, I'm sure they will be glad to spend time with you and have dinner with you if you asked them to."


Being caught off guard, he was a little lost with how to reply.
