"King Hamelot!" General Edgar bowed to the king as he approached the throne.
Hamelot was sitting calmly on his throne as he watched his general. His face showed a calm like that of still water upon a lake. The heart and mind of the king was quite the opposite, however, as his mind was traversing a great amount of problems that he could not solve. There were so many things going wrong in his kingdom and the kingdom of Ethiadan was still forcing his warriors into battle to fend off an invasion; yet his second son, Curtis, had ran off without a warning and left the king to another worry to ponder over.
"Speak." The king declared to the general before him.
"My King, you have someone requesting an audience with you!" Edgar shouted with him in a nervous tone.
"Who is it?"
"King, it is the king of Dradel kingdom!" General Edgar looked up at the king as he wasn't sure how to react in the situation. The very thought of a king leaving his kingdom was something that could leave an entire kingdom in ruins if the population was to find out about the king fleeing from the kingdom.
"Allow him entry, now!" Hamelot shouted and caused Edgar to flee instantly to allow the king of Dradel to enter the throne room for an audience with the king of Cadirade.
As Hamelot saw King Artheur entering the throne room he quickly rose to his feet. The king of Dradel had a dark expression on his face and was wearing a cloak over himself to hide his face from the people he'd passed on his way over. There were two women behind him and Hamelot could easily tell that one was Artheur's wife. The other woman he did not know, but she seemed to not care enough to hide her identity as she was wearing flowers in her air and a pink dress that made her figure stand out easily among a crowd.
"Dear friend, Artheur, why have you left your home to visit me today?" Hamelot asked as he slowly walked his way over to greet the fellow king.
"King Hamelot please pardon my intrusion on you this evening..." There was a deep solace in Artheur's voice that made the quiver in his eyes easier to see.
"Dear friend, it has been many years since we last met like this and you need not be so formal." Hamelot forced a graceful smile on his face in attempt to hide his worry over the situation.
"My kingdom has always been behind you all these years in the war, friend... I come here today to seek refuge for my family. Dradel is no longer safe for them to remain while my warriors are working to deal with the problem among my own kingdom." Artheur grit his teeth as he felt in his heart a deep hatred for the kingdom of Ethiadan for what they were causing Dradel to go through.
"Of course you're welcome here in Cadirade! What is the problem with Dradel? Your kingdom has never fallen to problems to cause you to bring the royal family so far before."
"The evil god, Chynir, is toying with my kingdom right now for the sake of helping Ethiadan..." Artheur knit his brows together as he thought about it.
Hamelot fell silent at the words of the Dradel King and swept his eyes over to the two women behind Artheur to see them nodding at the words.
"Why would a god get involved? That's never happened before!" Hamelot felt his own face going white.
"If my magician, Flora, here had not given warning ahead of time about the situation my entire family would have fallen when the palace collapsed from the god's wrath." Artheur gestured towards Flora in her pink dress and sighed heavily. He was very thankful he had her in his kingdom. Artheur was one of the few people who knew Flora's real identity as a god. It was the sole reason Flora had such a relaxing position to rule over a small town in his kingdom of Dradel without the king's interference.
"Dear friend, looks like not many may be able to sit on the sidelines of this war if even Chynir is involved in helping Ethiadan..." Hamelot stroked his long beard while thinking deeply over how he should handle the situation.
"Need I suggest..."
"No! You do not need to suggest it. I know what you're thinking already and it may be the only thing we can do." His hand waved in the air at his friend Artheur to indicate that he was thinking the same thing.
"It has been so many years since we last held such a meeting. I am not sure if everyone will be able to attend, but that is not the problem this time around." Artheur shook his head while pondering.
"You're right about that... If Chynir is involved this time, than the problem arises that if we hold a meeting of the allied and nuetral kingdoms to Cadirade than the god decided to intervene if he finds out..."
"We'll have to be very careful this time that nobody from Ethiadan's siding finds out."
"I'll be your messenger!" A voice resounded from inside the room causing everyone to look around.
"Who?" both of the kings questioned at the same time as they watched a figure slowly emerge from the shadows.
"Hello!"
"Who are you?!" Hamelot hissed in surprise at the sudden intrusion.
"Alright, alright! You may calm down now!" The short man raised both his hands up in surrender at them and smiled.
Both of the king's looked at each other with worry for a moment before turning their heads back to face the intruder.
"May I know who is intruding?" Hamelot forced out the question.
"You may call me, Shides, or as you mortals like to refer to me as... The God of Music!" he raised his hand towards King Hamelot to shake his hand in a greeting motion.
Everyone's face's paled from becomign nervous upon hearing Shide's introduction.
"Been a long time, Flora!" Shides looked over at her and smiled with a chuckle. "Anyways, I'm here to help!"
"But... god's aren't suppose to involve themselves with the kingdom affairs..." Both of the kings were confused, but Artheur wasn't as surprised due to the fact Flora had recently rescued him from being flattened by his own palace under Chynir's wrath.
"I may have my limitations, but unlike the other gods I cant stand doing nothing while he's all over the place destroying everything among the twelve kingdoms!" Shide's brow twitched. "Looks like I'll be temporarily helping you guys to try and balance out things til he's dealt with."
