Disparity In Strength

Luo Changsheng held two weapons, the Holy Lightning sword in his right hand and the Divine Wind Battleaxe in his left. He was known for his monstrous talent in the element, being able to control three elements in total and even use two simultaneously. A talent like him might not appear in the next hundred thousand years! Cough... Aerion Targaryen... cough. The three elements he could use were wind, lightning and earth.

To some, this seemed like an interesting battle since Aerion hadn't fought a Divine King in the Conferred God Battle yet. Aerion was more than capable of instantly defeating Luo Changsheng but he played along since he had nothing else to do. This was also a good opportunity to assess his talent personally so it would be a waste not to fight him properly.

"As expected, you will not strike first." Luo Changsheng stated before closing the gap between them. Aerion parried Luo Changsheng's Holy Lightning Sword and swiftly slashed him while moving out of the Divine Wind Battleaxe's way.

Luo Changsheng was dazed for a moment...

How did he do that!?

With these eyes, everything is just too easy!

Luo Changsheng released wind profound energy along with lightning profound energy this time as he attacked with both weapons but he only managed to hit Aerion's afterimages. Aerion used the Moon Splitting Cascade to appear behind him.

BOOM.

Aerion kicked him in the back with an excessive amount of force, sending him flying to the edge of the Conferred God Stage.

"Is this the best fight you can put up?" Aerion mocked Luo Changsheng. "How disappointing, I truly expected more from you, Changsheng."

He reminds me of a certain Ling Yun, a great genius but he was simply born in the wrong era. A couple of thousand years in the future or past would have won him great fame but now he's no more than a stepping stone for me. No, he's even less than that... he's a target who I can use some of my abilities on. That is the sad truth for now.

He will, however, have a far greater purpose after those three thousand years pass.

"So this is the disparity in our strength." Luo Changsheng stood up. "Even with the Heart Burning Lightning and Dragon Compassion Blade, I would not be your match and the result of the battle would not change in the slightest. You truly are superior to me."

"Hmph, so you've given up."

"Indeed, I have."

"I see... then allow this King to reward you for trying at the very least."

A crimson aura surrounded Aerion and started to form a skeleton. This skeleton grew its full armour rather swiftly before erupting in size once more. A set of crimson wings grew from the tall figure's back as well. In mere seconds, Aerion found himself looking down on the Conferred God Stage and Luo Changsheng.

As usual, the Perfect Susanoo is a profound energy vacuum...

Under the Perfect Susanoo's pressure, Luo Changsheng was forced onto the ground of the Conferred God Stage. Aerion then took to the skies and looked at the spectators for a moment before he waved his hand, sending Luo Changsheng out of bounds with sheer force.

It's mighty, at the very least.

Aerion stopped supporting his Perfect Susanoo and it dissipated almost instantly, leaving some strands of crimson profound energy which disappeared after a few seconds.

"Luo Changsheng has left the boundaries of the Conferred God Stage and so, he has lost the battle! Aerion Targaryen will proceed to the fourth round of the Conferred Gods Group while Luo Changsheng will join the Losers Group!"

Aerion left the Conferred God Stage and went to his room, the Seventh Heaven Realm to be exact, for some rest. The Eastern Divine Region was going crazy over the Perfect Susanoo... it had left an impression on everyone who had watched the battle, through a star tablet or otherwise.

Hmm, I wonder if the Brahma Heaven God Emperor would accept my proposition. Either way, I don't plan on being merciful to him once I have enough strength... he will have to atone for slaughtering He Lin's parents and clansmen. Heh, I have the perfect idea of how he could do that.

"Hmm, that is a good way, indeed. You would not have to kill your future father-in-law, at the very least."

"I'll slay him if that's what He Lin wishes... but knowing him, that is unlikely. He Lin is not one to seek vengeance, unlike most people."

"That isn't a rare trait for a wood spirit, they are naturally tame and passive. The majority of them are kind... however, with that and their great connection with nature itself comes the fatal flaw of being weak and subservient to the other races."

"That will not remain true for long. The Empire of Primal Chaos will make a safe space for all wood spirits and they will be represented by none other than He Lin, their patriarch. Anyone who dares trespass this sacred land without permission will find their heads on a spike."

"I do love some impaling..."

"Of course, you do." Aerion smiled. "All I need is some time and I'll finally be able to start my conquest of the Eastern Divine Region. With these Time Wheel Pearls, I might even be able to do so before the 'heaven chosen children' even leave the Eternal Heaven Pearl."

"They will certainly find it strange... one ruler is a foreign concept to Primal Chaos. It has been so ever since Celia created it."

"Then we'll have to change that, won't we?"

"Yes, your Divine Majesty."

Aerion chuckled. "Divine Majesty... I suppose it suits a God-Emperor."

~

The next day was reserved for the Losers Group since they have more rounds. Luo Changsheng, Shui Yingyue, Lu Lengchuan and Shui Meiyin came out victorious from the fourth round of the Losers Group. Aerion was training for the day and only left to find out if there were any upsets... there weren't any except for Shui Meiyin, who was winning with sheer soul power.

The fourth round of the Conferred Gods Group and fifth round of the Losers Group was revealed in the day after.

Conferred Gods Group (Round Four):

Battle 1: Robb vs Izanami Uchiha

Battle 2: Aerion Targaryen vs Jun Xilei

Losers Group (Round Five):

Battle 1: Shui Yingyue vs Shui Meiyin

Battle 2: Luo Changsheng vs Lu Lengchuan

Aerion chuckled.

Right, Jun Xilei... I haven't quite gotten to teaching her the Boundless Sword Art. There's a month between the end of the Profound God Convention and the Eternal Heaven Pearl being activated... I'll either have to do it then or now, in between matches. If only the Time Wheel Pearl can increase in size, giving me enough room...

Aerion suddenly got a brilliant idea.

Can Izanagi do that for me? Better yet, can I abuse Izanagi to have an infinite Time Wheel Pearl?

"No, I don't think that would be possible. The Time Wheel Pearls are made from the Eternal Heaven Pearl... can you use Izanagi to fully recover the Sky Poison Pearl's poison?"

No, I tried that once.

"The Seven Heavenly Treasures seem to be beyond your power... for now. Your eyes will grow more heaven-defying as you grow in strength. By rejecting reality, you are also indirectly re-writing it. How long will it be before you can re-write reality at will?"

That ability sounds rather... terrifying.

Robb's and Izanami's battle was the fastest of them all as Robb conceded before it even started. Then Aerion and Jun Xilei were called upon by Qu Hui, both entered the Conferred God Stage without much delay. Even being fifteen breaths late would lead to an automatic loss so there wasn't much time to waste in the first place.

"The final battle of the fourth round, Jun Xilei, Aerion Targaryen, you may begin!"

Blackfyre clashed against Misty Light for about the hundred thousandth time and dominated as usual.

"So, when are you going to teach me your sword art?"

"Hmm, this King is willing to spare some time in between matches to teach the basics. You'll have three thousand years to learn the rest... how does that sound?"

"Why can't you do that in the Eternal Heaven Pearl?"

Great question.

"I'm not going to cultivate for three thousand years in the Eternal Heaven Pearl since I have better things to do."

"Better things to do... and what may those things be?"

Aerion smiled. "That's confidential information I'm not willing to disclose. Anyway, since I've already fought you and won many times over, there's no point in us fighting here. See me after this match and I'll impart some of my knowledge onto you."

Aerion froze her using his ice profound energy and walked away once he was declared the victor. He walked to his room and patiently waited. He didn't have to wait long, however, Jun Xilei came rather swiftly.

"You may enter my humble abode... it probably isn't much different from your own. In reality, yours is likely to be superior because of your Master."

"It is slightly grander." Jun Xilei nodded. "But this will do. Perhaps, we may be able to do this in my room next time."

"Since this is my room, although temporary, I'd rather it not be destroyed in any way, shape, or form. Therefore, we won't be using much profound energy." Aerion stated.

"That is understandable."

Aerion smiled. "Then we may begin with the basics. It suits your Undistracted Sword Domain rather well, the user of the Boundless Sword Art must remain calm and focused unless they wish to be unsuccessful. The key is to be decisive, unpredictable and arrogant... intentionally acting predictably is rather important as well as it leads to many openings, hence making you unpredictable."

"How is being arrogant a key part?"

"Don't you already know?" Aerion chuckled. "Think about how I won all those spars."

"You acted arrogantly to..." Jun XIlei thought about it. "To make me lose focus."

"Precisely! Your anger led to you losing focus and making mistakes while I decisively capitalised on those mistakes." Aerion smiled. "As expected of the Sword Sovereign's disciple, it won't take you a long time to learn the basics. The more difficult sword skills, however, may provide you with a decent challenge..."

"Let's continue." Jun Xilei replied.

"As you wish."

Nearby, the Brahma Monarch Goddess was watching Aerion.

Teaching the Sword Sovereign's disciple a sword art... how intriguing. Still, she is unworthy of such attention and praise from my future God-Emperor.
