"It seems we're about to find out," murmured Shadow, as many steps could be heard quite
quickly approaching their street.
"Oh shit. It seems we have hit a roadblock now," Yin Peng replied, as a shiver ran down his
spine. "I don't know if we'll be able to get out of this one."
Yin Peng had good reason to think so too. After all, no matter how badly he had been tortured in
his previous life, no matter how much he'd been teased or shunned, someone always had been
there for him, silently protecting him from the shadows, or else he'd already be dead. But now
he had reincarnated into a new place, and had no one to help him. All he had at his disposal for
protection were some Shadow, Lulu, and some guns.
"Mew." Lulu meowed, pawing the kitchen counter a little bit. She seemed to think something
important was in there.
"Okay okay I'll look, just be quieter or else we'll get caught." Yin Peng sneaked over to the
counter, cautiously opening up the door while trying not to make any noise. He peered inside,
somewhat hopeful, but he really couldn't see anything. 'Well shit.' He mused for a bit debating
the pro's and con's of a flashlight. 'To hell with it,' he thought taking out a small keychain light
and using it on the dark space.
"What's in there?" Shadow asked, as she was quite curious as to what the familiar wanted. After
all, no one knew more about innate talents than her, but this one guy was shocking her again
and again, almost to the point that she was used to it. She expected a response, but received
none. "Yin Peng?," she called out softly.
'Holy shit.' That was what Yin Peng was currently thinking. He simply couldn't comprehend what
was right before his eyes. After all, he didn't know anyone weird enough to put a secret passage
so accessible.
"Come here." He beckoned Shadow over, and showed her the stairs that lead down into what
seemed to be a dark abyss. "Should we go down?"
Hearing the unidentified people drawing closer, Shadow made a decision. "We don't have a
choice," she whispered before shoving Yin Peng forward.
He almost screamed, but quickly remembered the presence of enemies, and so kept quietly, albeit just barely. The stairs were deep, and he tumbled along quickly, but they seemed to be
carpeted so he was okay for now, at least.
Finally, after what seemed like ages, he reached the bottom, rolling into a soft object. He stood
quickly and observed the plushy thing, finding it to be a pillow of sorts. Too late did he remember that Lulu and Shadow were coming, and right as he turned around he was greeted
by two mounds of joy pushing into him at high speeds, knocking him over.
Shadow's face turned red, and she quickly got up and brushed herself off before exploring the
room with vigor, after all she was young, and had not experienced that yet. Yin Peng also turned
red, and proceeded to inspect Lulu for injuries, of which there of course none.
While Yin Peng was inspecting a slightly annoyed cat, he heard Shadow yell, "Hey I found
something!" This was quickly followed by a muffled sound of falling, and Yin Peng ran over only
to discover that Shadow had tripped and fell into a huge bed, twice the size of a king's.
"Oh where are the stupid lights," Shadow grumbled, while Yin Peng tried to hold back his
laughter. "What kind of secret room has a huge bed and pillow anyway?"
Yin Peng was still laughing, and Lulu was also letting out a giggle. "Let's find out," he
suggested. "After all, I'm quite curious as to what this place is as well."
Now don't look down on
Yin Peng because he's a little dumb. He has his moments of intelligence, he wouldn't go to the
military without it, and he was quite sure he already knew what this place was, he just wasn't
quite sure. Therefore he started to inspect the entire main room, the one with the entrance, to
try to get a more solid idea of this place.
"Ah, I found it!" Shadow yelled a little loudly. "I found the stupid light switch!" As she said that,
she turned it on, flashing the room with light. Being the closest to the bright light, she was
blinded for a bit.
"Oh shit," exclaimed Yin Peng, and Lulu seemed to have the same opinion. They looked around
the room, mesmerised by the sight before their eyes.
"What! What is it," Shadow cried, still blinded by the light.
"You might not want to see this," warned Yin Peng very, very cautiously. "It's definitely not a
pretty sight."
"Tell me! If you don't I'll castrate you!" Shadow was furious, how dare he defy her wishes?! He
was just a weak little fatso who didn't know what was good for him! She snorted, and repeated
herself. "Tell me or I'll castrate you!"
Yin Peng was wary, as she was much stronger than him, but still he pressed on. "That might not
be ever so appropriate to say," he cautioned, backing away from her slowly.
At this moment, Shadow's vision returned. She looked around her, awed by the glorious sight
presented right before her eyes. She was so entranced, she didn't even notice that Yin Peng had
backed into a corner with Lulu, acting as if she were a savage beast. She didn't even blink as she walked around taking everything in as if she would never get a chance to see something so
magnificent (ahem) again!
Yin Peng was confused. He thought she would act completely different! Instead she seems to
like it?
Shadow finally came back to herself, taking one last sweep over the room before turning her
eyes to Yin Peng. "Oh my god, what a glorious looking shag pad! I can't believe this can exist!"
