I got up from the sofa and I checked the calendar on my watch, and realized that it's today!
"Oh god, am I late? Shouldn't the satellite dish on the roof could've done a decent job lately?!".
I ranted about this for 30 seconds, until my huffing angry voice decided to trail off and walked to my room to change. I opened the closet full of white clothes. Nothing but one single color for everyone.
"Ok then, just need to find my size and everything will be good."
It's hard to find my ideal size since I couldn't even tell apart my clothing assigned by our Officials. It took me 5 minutes to find my dress clothes. Everyone said that there's no need for hangers because of quote on quote, "waste reasons". I threw my clean clothes on the bed.
"Gwiffan?". I heard Cato walking up to me.
"Oh, hey Cato. Yeah, I just need to change to go to this mandated annual event now.".
He tilted his head as if he's looking kind of confused. I picked him up gently and said to him, "You'll be like me in a couple years from now, enjoy your childhood. Little Cato.". He cooed as I put him at the bed beside me.
As I walked out with my good looking impression and good scent, I gave him a little smile to know that, I'm there for him.
"Bye, b—" Cato waved sassily at me. "Cato, manners! Please?"
I walked out with my calm and composed face. I rode my bicycle I got 3 years ago, decent quality, but fine to ride on. Once we got to the place 15 minutes later, I was sparked with a bit of joy on the outside, on the inside, filled with fear and unexpected "What's gonna happen?" feelings. I got in and all of them are boys, with a few females who may be staff members. I signed up at the Admission table, with my name, my face, and my name (obviously). I went though the doors where the event was taking place and sat in the middle where I can see better. I'm very awkward, so I didn't talk to anyone during the intermission process. I fidget with my fingers and moved around my chair a lot and nobody really noticed so I kept doing it.
