Chapter 7 :Jackpot

As Jason and his team were walking through the mall, his assistant Ju long walked directly behind him, he had been sleeping when his boss called at midnight and ordered to prepare and impromptu visit to the mall for supervision. Ju long knew his workaholic boss too well to even dawdle once he received the order, he immediately dished out the orders to the other relevant directors in the company who had been working on brandishing and rebranding FYN GROUP MALL, of course Ru lei was among those director and everyone started to work because they all wanted to impress this new boss whose aura was as domineering as a typical male alpha.

Jason placed both hands in his pockets as he walked like a king whose bootlicking subordinates couldn't wait to curry favours with him, but they could only dream seeing as their boss's face was cold and aloof with not even a hint of a smile, they had heard about this new boss who meted out rewards and punishment like a king sitting high up in his throne with the lives of all the citizens in his palm. He listened to the report given by the director of public relations with a bored look and then he raised an arm, they all stopped wondering if this king was going to demand the resignation of the director next due to his poor presentation, but he said nothing and looked towards Assistant Ju, who immediately gestured for the marketing director to start his report and analysis. He has worked for his boss long enough to know what his silence means, and he has been groomed from birth to carry out these orders swiftly. He kept walking forward but stopped abruptly as he looked towards the lounge, he saw something or someone he never thought he'd see so soon. The same person that plagued his mind and rationality all night.

He had momentarily forgotten that he was carrying the so called inspection of the mall, and the man had no idea what his sudden pause did to the directors behind him. The other directors were fidgeting and sweating so much on their foreheads that the marketing director didn't even know when he bumped into bumped into Ru lei who was in front of him and drinking a coffee, as fate would have it, of AL the people she could have bumped into, it had to be the one she dreaded the ost right now,President Li jaesun (Jason). Thank God for his stamina or he would have fallen face down onto the ground, the coffee spilled into his jacket. He turned around, his cold eyes sending chills down their spines. They kept apologising especially Ru lei who was no doubt in the biggest soup. I'm sorry president Li, i missed my step i have no excuse, I'm really sorry [looks like it's finally time to go work for my fiancé, but I really love this job she thought] . Assistant Ju wanted to salvage the situation seeing the cold look on his boss's face, he knew Ru Lei is one of the best employees the company has and he has to save her from the boss's wrath. I'm really sorry boss, director Ru is usually very calm and collected, she must have tripped. He turned to look at assistant Ju as he said, why are you apologising when its not even your fault, do you have an unspeakable relationship with director Ru? The other directors were stupefied at his reaction, he look at Ru lei who was still bending her head and said, its fine before she could come out of her shock and thank him, had already left after leaving the words 'carry on' for his capable assistant.

Meanwhile, After finishing their drinks and chat, Ru Lan got up from her seat, mei mei give me 10minutes I'll just rush to the restroom, I'll be back in a bit she said as she rushed towards the restroom. In a few minutes she was done with her business and went on her way out, after a few steps she bumped into someone who happen to be very sturdy, she winced in pain as she massaged her shoulder, do you think your eyes are for decoration that you cant differentiate between a person and a wall? She lashed out without even looking up at the other victim. She knows she was at fault seeing as she was looking at her phone while walking so she decided to quickly turn the tables and play victim before the other party could say anything .

"Why am i so unlucky today cursed Jason in his heart, one already bumped into me from behind and spilled coffee on me and here is another one who is playing victim after bumping into me again, oh God do i need to go back to bed and wake up again" he immediately turned around and glared daggers at the girl who was still faking serious pain without even looking at him, he gritted his teeth as he said, we can get the CCTV and see who is really at fault here and then you'll get a call from my lawyer. Li Jaesun has always been known as a cold-hearted person, but he doesnt care, he tries to be respectful to women but he really hated scheming and blame shifting woman such as this one, "as expected not everyone can have a charming smile as my her, women are becoming too bold these days he thought" .

Ru Lans mischievous smile froze the moment she heard CCTV and lawyer in one sentence "o shi*t, this is not an ordinary person i can easily manipulate, i have to change my strategy seeing as I'm the one at fault here, she thought" she immediately raised her head with a charming smile dancing on her lips and her face brighter that the moon on a full moon night but what she saw left her stupefied with a frozen smile on her face. There he was standing in his full glory with a face handsome beyond words as if it were sculptured from clay by anything beyond human comprehension, he was 185cm tall with skin slightly white and tanned like that of a newly birthed baby, he had dark brown hair, eyebrows straight with curved ends, oval shaped brown eyes, straight middle-length nose, average red lips, square chin on his oval shaped face... of course she'll capture all the details of his appearance seeing as she was an artist herself, she couldnt help but marvel at the masterpiece in front of her eyes.. "what a total chick magnet and he happens to be my prince charming and why the h*ll am I checking him out" "JACKPOT" she screamed in her mind, but of course Li jaesun was doing the same thing as her as he also marvelled at the beauty in front of him or as according to him beautiful doesn't even begin to describe her. She had almond shaped green eyes and looking at them felt like he was been pulled into a vortex, thick eyebrows all natural and perfectly arched, slim small nose, and full pink lips, her skin was not so white but perfectly tanned, she looked like a model in her jeans and white top. Oh my God! Its her, I can't believe they are the same person. Finally found you phoenix (JACKPOT) He screamed in his mind while trying so hard to control his erratic heartbeat...

All the change of tactics our admirable Dr Ru Lan wanted to change into flew out the window, the only words she could muster up enough composure to say were "y.. Y.. you" as she pointed at the man in front of her. Jason quickly composed himself not letting any emotion show on his cold face as he smirked deviously and said, we meet again, but in reality he was dancing to an unknown beat in his heart as he thanked his lucky star for making him meet the girl who hunt his mind since he saw her yesterday and unknown to him she is also the girl he's been trying to find for the past 3 years, he had been thinking futilely about how to meet her again plus he didn't know squat about her, but here she was bumping into him and trying to play victim, what an opportunity his mind turned 360 from having an unlucky day to i must have woken up on the right side of the bed today, looks like city E does have so much to offer. These were the thoughts swirling through Jason's mind and threatening to burst out. He tried so hard to keep his emotions in check.
