A little girl of seven leaning her head in the table has fallen asleep, though because of the parent's neglect is looking younger and thinner than her age, was awaken when she heard something has shifted in the front door, signaling that a person has arrived. It was two-o'clock in the morning, and the maids have all retired during the night, although a pair has made themselves present at the entrance to greet the mistress.

She reeks of alcohol and was sluggish that it was perhaps a miracle that she arrived home safely (and much more miraculous, in one piece and unhurt), though all the people of the house know this doesn't happen frequently. Sometimes, they would see their mistress arriving at the house early in the morning, her hair and clothes a mess, and even the maids would scratch their nose because of the strong smell of whiskey and other alcoholic beverages. Heck, even the dog that the young miss takes care of smells better than her mother.

But this mother doesn't even care about her appearance and would lash out if she hears a word from anyone about this happenings. The young miss has stood with the maids to greet her mother, only to be ignored. She was about to run and ask her mother to drink the soup that she has prepared but as soon as she catches up, she slipped and fell into the ground. There was a loud thud, and this has made the mistress turn around to look at her.

Though the young lass wanted her mother's attention, she was also afraid of her. Sure enough, even as she was already on the floor and has not tried to get up, the mother kicked her hard in the stomach. Which is kind of a feat, because she was already drunk and cannot see properly. The young miss whimpered but could only cry silently. "Trash." She then stumbled to get to her room, leaving her daughter on the ground.

The maids then tried to help their young miss to stand up and one of them has sent her to her room. She quietly mumbles a 'thank you' before the maid close the door after her. The pain inflicted by the kick from her own mother was not completely forgotten, and she cried and cried until there are no more tears to shed.

She had always wondered why her Mother, who was once a caring and loving person, becomes devoid of feelings and cannot even look at her in the eyes. She would shout "Trash" "Useless" "Idiot" "Worthless" and many other names that a six years old girl should not know but would constantly hear from her own mother. She could only listen and cannot do anything, for what can a tiny girl do otherwise? She learned from the small age of six, that talking back or even saying sorry would only lead to more punishment.

Though her Nanny Rou takes care of her and her daily needs, she is still a kid who wants to experience love from her very own parents. Her father is not even around and never stayed in their own house. This lead to all speculations from the maids, servants and didn't escape the ears of the socialites that are neither friends or foes, that her father already has a mistress and would rather stay in immorality than stay with his alcoholic wife, thoroughly neglecting the child that he had.
