Giving his father a chance

Yin Ling's father, Yin Liang was dumbfounded, what his son just said? He wanted to be independent at twelve years old, he even wanted to repair him financially for what he had done for him. He knew that his relation with his son was really bad, and he knew that it was his fault but still he didn't know it was this bad. Hesitating, he asked:

Do you hate me?

He had never expected to ask this question one day, but seeing how his son was acting he was really wondering to what extent he was badly seen by his son.

No, I don't hate you, I'm grateful to you because without you I would have died by hunger, but that's all.

That's all? You don't see me as your father?

Father? No, I don't have any.

Yin Ling's father was taken aback, he looks at his biological son and felt strange, he never really liked his son. Usually when he was drunk, he would remember his wife, his sadness transformed into anger, and his anger would go directly towards Yin Ling, the only person who was near. It was because of this that their relationship was this bad. He never really regretted this, a bit the first time, but he became used to it and never did anything to be forgiven.

But now the first time he realised that he cares about his son, it was too late, his son now didn't even consider having a father, he was treated like a stranger. During 12 years he wanted him to leave and to never see him again, but now, that he wanted his son to stay, he wanted to leave. But he couldn't do anything now; he certainly knows that his son wouldn't forget him and with a few words wouldn't change his mind.

He would have preferred being hated by his son than this indifference

But he suddenly saw a light in his upheaval and said with some honestly:

I realised now that what I said to you was wrong, I know that you won't forgive me easily but I want to make up with you. Anyway, how could you live on your own? I don't have enough money to rent an apartment for you. We could clearly see that his eyes weren't as sharp as the manager's one, talking about money was really a bad move there.

Yin Ling was a bit surprised by those word but didn't care, maybe a twelve years old boy would be touch or fooled, but not Yin Ling.

It's way to late now. If you really wanted to make up with me why wait until I want to leave? As for money I have enough money for at least ten years.

How did you have this much money?

How does it matter to you anyway? I wasn't asking for your permission I was simply saying to you that I was leaving. If are really in need of money I can give some to you for the reason I said earlier. As for forgiving you, you would need a lot of time and I won't give you any, don't have this much time to waste with you, I will be really busy from now on. Yin Ling was smiling when he said this because he already thought ahead, he was going to have fun while doing sport a lot.

He had cleaned all of his problem now; he could spend all his time for sport. He had his bright future ahead.

Yin Jiang didn't know what to do, he clearly understood that his son changed and that he was currently adamant.

Can't I really do anything to make you stay? Said Yin Jiang a bit helpless

Do you really deserve it? To be honest with you I will consecrated every second I can to sport thus even if I were to stay in your house you wouldn't see me, and even if it wasn't the case, I wouldn't be interested in making up with you.

Yin Jiang was a bit heartbroken and angry. But he wasn't angered because of Yin Ling, but because of himself. He really didn't deserve it, he just realised that he just acted so selfishly right now: during twelve years he never considered Yin Ling sentiments and even less now. Since when did he became such an hideous person?

Was the death of his wife because of Yin Ling? Yes, but was it his fault? No clearly not, what would his wife think if she saw how he treated Yin Ling during all these years? She would be so disappointed in him.

Yin Ling looks at his silent father and heard

[You shouldn't leave like that you will maybe regret it someday]

How so? He doesn't deserve anything, and my youth was ruined by him, combined with the kids that bullied me it's even nearly surprising that I killed myself at that late. Although he knew that when he killed himself it wasn't by any way related with his father, he knew that other kids in his situation would have committed suicide.

[I know but look at him now, he looks like he is the one going to take his own life, you can see in his eyes that he regrets what he did]

How could I not see it, but what now? I don't want to share any memory with him, I simply don't want to see him anymore. But yes I still don't want him to kill himself. What do you propose? He knew that Alicia didn't talk aimlessly, and he knew that him regretting if his father killed himself was totally possible.

[Hmm give him some hope]

I won't do a false promise, I is exactly what I despite the most.

[Thus make an effort, a promise that would be very hard and long but still giving him hope, otherwise he won't make it to tomorrow I'm sure of it]

You have an idea isn't it?

[Make him take care of children for free during ten years and see him after it, and see if he deserves your forgiveness after it.]

I will trust you on this on Alicia
