Rey vs Hakuba

The same day evening,

Rey's ship arrived at the port of Rommel Kingdom. When Rey came out, what welcomed him is an eerie silence that could even bring fear into the bravest of soldiers with a strong heart.

Rey squinted his eyes and looked around, he couldn't even spot a single soul in the vicinity. There's also this cold wind that swept past them from time to time, making the soldiers shiver.

Mia unconsciously came near Rey as the woman are mostly afraid of these circumstances. "Rey, there's something wrong here, why don't I go and call for reinforcements?"

Rey smirked, "Mia, could it be you are afraid?"

"Who's afraid...I am just afraid of you implicating these poor soldier's lives." Mia bravely spoke but one could see her shivering like other soldiers.

"Hahaha, hahaha, you guys don't tell others that you are all marine soldiers under me," Rey laughed but everyone could feel the contempt behind his laugh.

Soon, every soldier steeled their hearts and suppressed the fear caused by unknown reasons. Then Rey marched into the town along with Mia and twenty-some elite soldiers leaving others behind.

Unlike other Kingdoms, Rommel Kingdom has only one town on the entire Island which covered almost most of the land.

The sky was already dark when Rey arrived at the town but what they witnessed is staggering. There were countless corpses in the street with blood smeared all over the place, painting it a gruesome display.

Even Rey was slightly shocked by what he was witnessing and he couldn't find a single soul as far as his eyes could see, as if nobody was in the entire town.

At that moment, one of the corpses rolled to a side and from under it, a thin silhouette came out holding his injured chest.

He is a young man around 18 years of age with a terrified face, wounded body and looked feeble, unable to stand on his own. Rey appeared before the youngster and helped him to remain on his feet.

"Oi, Are you okay?" Rey asked.

The youngster didn't answer, Rey could see he's still in a daze as if he lost his soul. Rey served him water, while Mia nursed his wounds.

The youngster finally came out of his stupor upon noticing Rey and surrounding marine soldiers.

"What happened here?" Rey asked.

"I don't know, I was walking with my friend but suddenly everyone around me began to run and before I could see what's happening something slashed me and every people around me."

Rey suddenly heard a crashing noise from the north, "Mia, check if there are any survivors and bring them to the ship; Don't let anyone come to the town."

As soon as telling this, Rey dashed towards the noise. He took out his staff and firmly held it in his hands to encounter any possible situation.

When he arrived at the location of crashing sound, he saw twenty-some guards wearing a red outfit fighting something they couldn't see.

Unlike others, Rey could faintly see the shadow of a person holding a sword and slashing at the guards.

Rey could tell, the Hakuba is not as strong as it was shown in the series since there are some years remain till he appears in the new world.

The reason is, the cavendish right now is young and so was the Hakuba. Rey was not sure if he would be able to stop Hakuba with his current strength. But, he has no choice but to face it head-on to save innocent people from getting hurt.

Rey rushed into the battle and blocked the Hakuba's sword which was going to slash one of the Kingdom guards.

"Ah, finally, the marines came, we are saved." One of the guards exclaimed.

"You guys, retreat and hide somewhere he couldn't notice you," Rey shouted and concentrated his entire attention on Hakuba.

Hakuba emerged some distance away from him and looked at Rey. Hakuba looked completely demonic with shadowed face, completely white eyes while his mouth is opened in a permanent sneer with no teeth showing whilst smiling.

All-in-all, his face resembles that of a grinning mask and looked completely murderous.

Soon, nobody was in the vicinity apart from Rey who was currently facing Hakuba; He was fully alert understanding quite well about his opponent's ability.

In the next second, Hakuba swiftly disappeared from the spot leaving nothing but empty air.

'Too fast!'

Rey knows he will become a perfect target if he stands at the same place so he quickly used 'soru' and vanished from the area, emerging some distance away from the spot.

Even so, Rey felt a cold wind blew past his back and a cut wound appeared on his back. Thankfully, his body is as strong as rock so the injury is not serious.

Before Rey could do respond, he sensed the impending feeling before him. Without thinking anything, he used his staff and blocked the sword which magically arrived before him.

'Clang!'

The clash was powerful as everything in the surrounding blown away, generating a booming sound; Rey felt a slight sting in his arms, blocking the attack.

He swiftly kicked at Hakuba who was before him but his attack hit nothing but empty air. Surprisingly, few cuts appeared in his chest and stomach even though he blocked his opponent's attack.

'He sure is fast!'

Rey calmed his mind and carefully watched the surroundings, waiting for Hakuba's next round of attack.

Soon, he saw the white haze like figure flying towards him in breakneck speed. Promptly, Rey used 'Geppo' and jumped into the air barely surviving the super-fast attack of Hakuba.

'How am I supposed to fight someone who I can't even see?' Rey was frustrated thinking about it.

Hakuba stopped his attack and looked at Rey who was hovering in the air. Hakuba noticed the high buildings around him and looked at Rey with an evil smile.

Rey gripped his staff tightly, waited for Hakuba to attack. As he thought, Hakuba swiftly climbed the building like a monkey moving from one to another.

Soon, Rey and Hakuba clashed in the mid-air. This is what Rey was waiting for, as he held the advantage of fighting in the air since knows Geppo.

He tried to block the attack using his staff in one hand and using another hand he punched at Hakuba with his full strength.

Bang!

Hakuba blocked Rey's attack using his sword but was sent flying away and crashed into one of the buildings.

Rey was no better, to hold this advantage he was slashed multiple times within a single second but his plan could be considered successful as he was able to land a solid hit on Hakuba.
