Chapter 8

What seemed like a normal day for many was a reckoning for those who tried to lay their hands on Kira Chen. The young girl stood alone on large, empty street surrounded by dead bodies. Her expensive, designer dress had multiple holes and cuts on it, and she was covered in blood. However she held no injuries. These dead men and women wore smart clothes and all had high class weapons. It looked like something right out of a horror movie.

They had ambushed her outside her own nightclub in East End and went in guns blazing before she could react. The civilians had escaped through the club using the back exit, but a few of her guards had died in the crossfire.

A loud cough interrupted her thoughts as Kira's head snapped to the left. One woman seemed to have survived her assault and was spitting up blood. A feeling of disgust bloomed in Kira as she watched this.....filth, this scum pitifully try to crawl away. She began to slowly walk forward, her loud heels causing an ominous foreboding to fill the ladies heart.

Stepping up behind her, Kira viciously grabbed the blonde woman by the hair and dragged her across the ground humiliatingly. The lady struggled and screamed, but it was useless. Kira tossed her into a puddle of sewage water by the street corner. It was filled with what you'd expect, piss and everything else a sewage held. Before she could even try anything, Kira's sharp right heal dug into her chest pain. With all the girls weight on her the lady let a loud groan of pain.

Smiling happily the triad leader finally spoke, "What's your name?" she asked softly, as if this was an entirely casual scenario, only to be met with silence.

Digging her heels deeper Kira's smiled disappeared, replaced by a scowl. "If you wish to see your family, if you're smart, if you value your continued existence, you will answer all my questions without failure or hesitation. Is. That. Clear." Her voice was quiet and cold, it sent shivers down the woman's spine.

Finally relenting, the fear getting to her she replied, "Malinda, m..my name is Malinda." She answered, her voice cracking as tears ran down her face.

Kira's smile returned to her face as she eased up the pressure. "Malinda, yes that's right. Malinda Marino. Such a pretty name. I believe I already know who sent you, but just be sure I want you to tell me. Along with everything you know." Her voice easily switching from emotionless to loving.

The shock and terror of this stranger knowing her full name, meaning she'd effortlessly find her family finally broke the girl. She explained that she worked for Bertinellis and gave up everything she knew about them, which wasn't much.

Kira knew the theatrics were unnecessary with her capabilities, but she rarely if ever got to enjoy herself like this and decided to have some light hearted fun. It's not like the cops were coming just yet. After getting the information she wanted, Kira took her time decapitating Malinda and threw her head across the road. Pulling out her phone she made a few calls about the situation before leaving the scene.

....

Sitting in her mansion the next day Kira was painting. Yes, painting. She had found some joy within this new hobby of hers. Whilst painting she pondered on how to handle the Bertinelli situation. She could kill them, but that would be a massive waste. The Angel Triad was soon going to need more man power, and recruiting the average thugs off the street was inefficient. Taking over the Bertinellis as a whole would increase her strength by a large margin.

Her thoughts was cut off with the loud knocks on her door. "Come in" she called quietly, but loud enough to be heard.

The door opened and a tall black haired, and brown eyed woman walked in. Her name was Jane Huang, she was an investigator and a member of the triad. Kira had given her a very peculiar task. She didn't know why she'd done it. Curiosity? Sentimentality? She hoped it was the former. Emotions would only cloud her judgment.

Taking a larger folder from Janes hands she read through it whilst listening to the investigator explain what she'd found out. By the end of it she learnt more than expected. Her mother's name was Daiyu Chen, she spent most of her life in China before moving to Gotham hoping for a better life, although that didn't go as planned. She ended up as a prostitute, and gave birth to three separate, accidental children, each with three different fathers.

Two girls and boy. The boy was the oldest, Marcellus Chen, followed by Sabrina Chen and the youngest Kira. The mothers locations was unknown, but the son now 23 was working as a police officer at the GCPD. Sabrina was 20 years old and began working as a waitress in the upper east side after dropping out of high school. She was barely on her feet and was clearly unsure of what to do in life.

After reading through the illegally obtained information, Kira knew everything there was to know, allergies, medical conditions, incidents, even childhood reports from orphanages, she knew practically everything. Every school detention and the reasons.

Leaning back on her chair she sighed in exhaustion. What to do. Her half brother was a cop. Was he corrupt? Did he work for somebody? Would he join this life? As much as she wanted to deny it, Kira wouldn't mind having siblings to put it lightly. And her big sister. Well, it seemed like that would be a far simpler reunion, but it would have to wait a little a longer.

Ordering Jane to station guards outside both her siblings residences Kira fell silent and continued her original train of thought.

....

The Bertinellis were a relatively well know crime family, and this made it impossible for them to keep the criminal side of their life a secret. Similar to Falcone and many others, the only reason Alfredo hadn't been arrested was due to a lack of evidence, not lack of knowledge. Everyone knew they were a dirty family.

This made it far easier to collect surface information. With the name and face of Alfredo Bertinelli in hand Kira got to work in having him leave all his properties to the city, but any money he had would be transferred to her through multiple business and transactions. It'd take a little while, but the money would get there eventually. Afterwards he'd write a suicide note, record a video confessing all his crimes and accomplices, eventually hanging himself.

Putting her pen and 'notebook' down Kira raised her head and looked at the young, pretty girl in front of her. The girl looked to be around 13-14, but was far better looking then some 16 year olds. There was no doubt in Kira's mind that she'd grow to be beautiful. More so than herself.

The girl had no parents and was an orphan, just as she used to be, "You know what you need to do?" Kira asked kindly.

Bianka Yu nodded her head with a large smile, "You're sending me to Gotham Academy, an expensive private school with the task of becoming as close to Dick Grayson as possible. Even to the extent of making him fall in love with me if possible. It is an honour for a street girl such as myself to be personally chosen by you for this. I cannot express my gratitude with words." Kira nodded in satisfaction at hearing the child, completely aware that'd she'd be a big part of the future.

Patting her thigh, Kira gestured for the short thirteen year old to sit on her lap. "From now on you'll be staying here with me. As far as anyone else is concerned you've been adopted by the wealthy Feng family in South Chinatown, I've already sorted it out."

From this day on Kira had Bianka trained by a professional in seduction, lying and fitness. She'd make this girl into what modern society deemed as 'perfect'. Eventually having her gain superpowers, and then they'd go from there. Kira knew this was dreaming big, but she had always been ambitious. The plan was still in progress, and the biggest flaw was human emotion.

Kira had read enough comics, and seen enough movies to know that the spy always ends up loving the opposition and joining them. She'd have to think up a method to stop that from happening
