Chapter 17: The Confession

Sophia Hansen's POV

I have a confession to make. I know that people might think I was a bad person for asking my then 'supposed' fiancé, Charles Debrun, to kidnap someone. I was only doing my job. You see, I was asked by the international agency to catch Sabrina Dubois because she was a member of the Femme Fatale organization. It was rumored that they were above law.

And the international community did not like that.

So, I have to use my seduction and beauty to lure him into my web before I realized that I don't want to do it. I have so much to think about other than myself.

Especially after that night in Hungary, where I lost my virginity to Chris Virtanen.

And right now, I was looking at the phone that stated Sophia Hansen was missing after my house that I was living together with Charles was burning to the ground. I escaped before I set the house on fire.

My father will be furious after that.

I smiled before I felt someone was behind me. I know it's Chris and I was leaning against him. He kissed my neck before he was hugging me. I was looking out the window as it was morning but we have room service for breakfast.

What can I say, the owner of the hotel asked them to be sent to his room. I think being the owner's fiancée has its perks.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked me as I was sighing. I don't know what to say about that but I don't think Chris wanted to know about my past or my games behind all this.

I mean, my uncle's game.

I turned to look at his handsome face as his vivid eyes were looking into my soul. I was smiling before I was caressing his cheeks. He leaned into my touch before his vivid green eyes were calculating at me.

"What is it, Sophia? Do you have something to tell me? I can see that you're distracted," Chris asked me as I was sighing. I guess it would be better if I told him.

"Chris, there's something you should know," I said as I was looking into his eyes. He nodded as he was pulling me to sit on the bed. I was taking a deep breath before I was looking at his face.

"You do know that after that night a couple of years ago after we met, I told you that I will be waiting for you or maybe someday find you?" I asked him as Chris was playing with my palm. He nodded.

"Yeah, what about it?" He asked me before I was clearing my throat. I licked my dry lips.

"I was engaged after that," I said before he stiffed his hands on my palms. He turned to look at me before he was waiting for me to continue.

"His name is Charles Debrun, the one that was our partner. I know what you're thinking but it was for a mission. I don't have any feeling for him," I said as I was looking at him. Chris was silent before I was biting my lower lips.

"Say something,"

"I don't know what to say since I know about it," he said before I was looking into his vivid green eyes.

"I have something to confess as well," he said as I was listening to him. Chris took a deep breath before he was looking into my eyes.

"I was engaged when we sleep together that night," he said as I was taking my hands from his touch. Did he say…dear God! I stood up from the bed as I was pacing back and forth in front of him before Chris stopped me.

"But I did not tell anyone about that and after that, she called off the engagement and me—"

"Stop. You're making it worse. I felt I was like I am the bad guy here," I said as I was holding my stomach. I sleep with an engaged man. The only code that I ever lived for was broken by myself.

I wanted to throw up.

"Sophia, that engagement was arranged and I have an ulterior motive as well," Chris said as I turned to look at him. He has an ulterior motive as well when he was engaged to that woman.

Aren't we all have the same thinking then?

I blinked my eyes at him as Chris was running his fingers through his hair. He took a deep breath before I was looking at him.

"Did you love her?" I asked quietly as I was looking at him. Chris turned to look me before I saw that his eyes hardened.

"It was for power gain. No love involved," he said curtly as I was nodding. Then he was sighing before he looked up to me again.

"Did you have any feelings for that man?" He asked me as I was silent for a while. At first, I only see that Charles was a mission but when he seduced me and slept with him, I did develop feelings for him.

So, I stayed silent.

Chris chuckled humorlessly. I know that he was hurt as I did promise that I never love anyone else but I did fell in love with Charles Debrun. Then, I was not far from my mother than that fell in love with my father's best friend and never saw what was in front of her all the time.

My heart ached when I thought about that.

We stayed silent, not talking to each other as we were taking in the statement that we just confessed to each other. I sighed first before I was trying to get away from the room. But Chris stopped me.

"Where are you going?" He asked me as I was looking at his hand around my wrist. I was trying to get out of it but he gripped it harder.

"Sophia," he warned me before I was looking into his eyes. I saw that his vivid green eyes that he was trying to control his anger.

I was feeling joy but I don't think that I should.

"I need time to think," I said before I was trying to getaway. Chris did not let me go before I was trying to get his grip off my hand.

"Let me go, Virtanen,'' I said as I was glaring at him. Chris did the same before we were glaring at each other.

"I did that once and you went to someone else," he said as he was shaking his head. "Not again, not this time when I want you to stay," he said before I was gasping at his confession.

Was he…

"Marry me, Sophia," he said as I was being pulled into his laps as I was staring into that vivid green orbs that kept me awake all night a few years ago. I know that in my heart, Chris Virtanen would always have a place.

"But, we're only pretending," I whispered as I was leaning toward him. Chris smirked as he was leaning against me as well.

"We can make it real you know," he said as I was smiling at him.

"What a charmer you are, Virtanen," I said as I was playing with his hair on his forehead. He chuckled before his eyes were glistening with mischief.

"Believe me, kultanesi, I never play until I met you again," he said before he was kissing me. I was gripping his shoulders before he was biting my lower lips. I moaned before he plunged his tongue inside me.

I gasped as I was gripping his hair even more and I was arching my back to him, indicating that I wanted him to take me, ravish me on this bed.

"If I read the signs right, I think we both want to make love right now," Chris said as he was caressing my sides. I was giggling before Chris ripped my blouse. I gasped.

"Chris! That was my favorite shirt," I hissed before Chris was removing my skirt. I was ripping his shirt as he was laughing.

"Now we're even, kultanesi, he said before he was pushing me onto the bed as I was looking into his eyes. He was happy right now as I was caressing his cheeks. He closed his eyes.

"Jeg elsker dig,'' I whispered to him before he was kissing me and we were lost to our passion as he was aligning himself in front of my wet mounds before he was slamming into my core. We both groaned before I was gripping his hair.

"I love you, Chris Virtanen," I whispered in Danish as Chris was branding me with his possession before the room was lost in low moans and gasps.
