Exams begins

"Well, to be honest, we don't know how the AI works, they mentioned that there are three generals, which means that there are three different AI in control. We need to see if they are sharing the same brain or if they are individuals. If so, we have to run some tests, to see if they can work together. If they can't it'll be much simpler, if they can, it will be way more troublesome."

Ashli and Arlene looked at Odrunn confused before turning their head towards Soli.

"Oh, Odrunn has extensive knowledge about Artefacts and this kind of tech stuff. He may seem like he doesn't know anything but he is really analytical when it comes to things like these."

Soli smiled as she immediately understood what the blank expressions coming from Ashli and Arlene meant.

"Yeah, you can trust Odrunn with his analysis. It's pretty good."

Z added on after.

In the control room, the chief examiner was having a meeting with his staff.

"Is everything in position? Are the three generals all ready?"

"Yes sir, the three generals are in position."

"Good, What are the odds that the students will win against them?"

"Sir, the odds that they will take out 1 general is 30%, 2 generals is 5% and all of the generals is 0.5%.

These are the numerics provided by the AI, they have run simulations based on the scenarios the previous times."

The chief instructor scratched his chin as he raised his eyebrows.

"The previous time? You fed it information from the previous time? Would it gain the knowledge you deleted then? What were you thinking!"

"Sir, without the information the system estimated that the win rate for the students would be above 50% and honestly it isn't very viable.

I fed the AI information regarding tactics but nothing related to their manifests and personal information."

The chief inspector ruffled his hair as he gave up on the situation. It was too late to do anything.

"Okay fine, but if anything goes wrong, I wouldn't be able to defend you."

He said as he left the room. The instructor turned to the AI as he smiled and continued to run simulations.

Walking out into the stage again, the chief examiner picked up the S.A.D as he started to speak,

"Vanguards and offense teams, please gather on the stage, we will begin soon."

The shuffling of feet could be heard as the scouts and supports left the stage leaving the vanguards and offense huddled to the front of the arena.

The chief examiner turned his head as a huge map emerged behind him.

Using a laser he pointed to the areas of the maps while he began his brief.

"Okay, ladies and gentlemen! As you can see behind me, it is a map of the area that you will be conducting your mission in. In the area marked with an X, that is your start point, a1 a2 and a3 are the locations that you need to wholeheartedly defend."

The participants looked at the map with undivided attention. While some of them whispered to their friends next to them. It was clearly segmented to 6 areas, beyond that, that was about all the information they had been given.

"As you can see, the red portions are areas that have been contested by the 3 generals and that is your goal, to reach and kill the 3 generals.

So now for the exciting part, 5 points will be given for every successful kill of soldiers, for both vanguards and offense. For each successful defense of the structures, you will be given an additional 100 points to split amongst those who are there to defend.

For the offense team, don't worry, for every general you take out you will be given 150 points. So remember to try your best."

The chief instructor stepped back away from the S.A.D. For a quick breather. He screened through the crowd to see their reactions as he took a deep breath.

The students were nervous, that much was clear, they were all whispering to one another, trying to give their own ideas.

"So now we will proceed to the safety briefing, does anyone have any injuries or have been sick the past few days that they need to declare?

Has everyone had sufficient hydration and rest prior to coming for the exams?

When participating in the exams should your Hp run out, please just lie down. This is all for your own safety and safety is no joking matter.

Now that everyone knows the rules, please gather up in the center of the arena and get ready for the simulation to begin."

The students shuffled their feet to the center of the circle, usually, it would just be themselves that was entering a simulation, but with so many people they were truly looking forward to seeing how it works out.

The audience in the crowd were excited as well, looking at the arena if they could and looking at the screens if they can't. The scouts and support that were just off stage really felt it now. It was their turn next and they wanted to see if the offense and vanguards could give them any clue to what their missions might be.

The surroundings around them changed as they were brought into the simulation.

A familiar scene was in front of them, there were boulders, grass, and castles behind them. Ahead of them were castles too but they were quite a distance away.

The students who entered the simulation started to get their wits back as they gathered up.

The vanguards had little to no problems with appointing a leader. Obviously the one spokesperson for them was Vero, with everyone agreeing for him to be the leader. The rest of the vanguards had initially tried to talk to Odrunn to figure him out to see if Odrunn would be their second in charge, but soon gave up and started to vote for David to do it instead.
