Wand Ceremony

"Are you sure this is going to help?" Perseus said as he stood around in underwear only.

"I am certain." Patricia's said in her raspy voice, "Just put it in slowly."

"Okay!" Perseus said, "This is my first time doing something like this, so I am not too sure. Should I put the whole thing in."

"It's quite bigger than I thought so just keep putting in until I tell you so." Patricia said as she suddenly let out a moan of pain, "Ouch!"

"I am sorry, it's too wet and I slipped," Perseus said.

"Sigh! It's okay." Patricia said, "You just stand around and relax, I'll do the rest of the job."

Perseus nodded, "Um, are you really sure? I mean I have never heard about this before."

"And unlike you, I have traveled the world before. So trust me when I say it works." Patricia said in a bit of annoyed tone, "Go fetch me the dragon heart powder."

Perseus went over and bought in what he was told as Patrica took it and dropped the entire thing into the bathtub.

"It's done." Patricia said, "Now, get in quick."

Hesitatingly, Perseus got inside the warm jelly-like water that felt oily and smelled like a bad medicine as he sat down making several weird faces.

"Breath or you might die in there." Patricia said, "This is a magical herbal solution, that I learned in Egypt. It's really useful than you think."

"So this is going to make me stronger? How?"

"It's not for making you strong but more for balancing your magical core. After all, your magic core for some reason is still unstable as if you had recently awakened." Patricia said as Perseus stayed quiet not trying to think about the fall, "So this bath will not only fix that but help your body loosen up to magic quickly. Making you more efficient in using magic without quick exhaustions. And besides, with all the training that you have done this past week, I am sure that you're preety sore so it will help with that as well."

"I see." Perseus said, "But is it supposed to get hot."

"Oh, it's just starting," Patricia said with an evil smile on her face.

"So are you sure you want a Basilisk?" Perseus questioned remembering her request, "I mean what would a creature like that even be doing in a place like Hogwarts."

"Oh! You don't know Hogwarts, there's things that will kill you everywhere you go." Patricia said, "And don't worry about it, I wouldn't be sending you to find a Basilisk without proper hunting equipment now will I? And as I said you can bring me a dead one but its body can't have any poison in it and has to look fresh."

"Fine, but where would I even look for one."

"Chamber of Secrets, of course." Patricia said, "But you have to find where it exactly is since I have no clue about it and from what I know you might want to find someone who can use parseltongue."

"Sure, I'll make sure to find a dragon and some thunderbirds for the journey as well."

"Well, lucky for you, I've already found one. Isn't it amazing that I am doing everything for you." Patricia said acting as if she couldn't hear him, "Want to guess, who?"

As the water kept getting hotter, Perseus was felling much more sleepy as he looked at Patricia clearly showing that he wasn't interested in guessing who her Parseltongue was.

"It's Harry Potter."

"Wait! What?"

"Oh, now you want to hear me? Too bad, I am busy." Patricia stood up, "Take a good sleep, it will help absorb the potion quicker and I'll be back when the time is up."

Saying that Patricia left, leaving Perseus to wonder who Harry Potter really was. He wasn't just a hero but a Parseltongue too. Though an amazing ability it was an annoyance if people figured out about it. After all, only evil people in history had the ability to speak to snakes.

"I still smell like a dead fish," Perseus complained as he walked with Patricia along Diagon Alley.

"Sigh! Do you really need me to get you your wand? I mean, can't you do it by yourself?"

"I need someone who can use rune well and who better than a curse breaker herself." Perseus said, "And before you ask why, just remember our treaty."

Patricia rolled her eyes being talked down by a kid. The treaty Perseus was talking about was, that neither of them would ask questions that the other one didn't want to talk about after all both had their secrets. Patricia included, like with why she couldn't go to Hogwarts herself to take the Basilisk she so desired and why she didn't want Perseus to mention Patricia's name to anyone in Hogwarts.

"For a kid, you really do have a big mouth."

"The same kid you want to send fight a Basilisk?"

"Don't flatter yourself, defeating a Basilisk is child's play at best. If you're clever enough you can do so easily and besides the only reason I am choosing you is because of that old fool Dumbledore who suspects the older kids the most."

"Anyway, you need me and I need you, so why bother?"

"Are you ready?" Ollivander asked as the three of them sat in a triangular position. "As you've asked me, I have the Elder wood and A horn of the Horned Serpent ready."

"I know your concerns, old man. But I was praised by the oracle to use the wand made of a Horned Serpent's horn but as for the Elder wood it is just a family favorite."

'Though I didn't get to use it in my last life.' He thought to himself as he looked at Patricia who was just quite and calm, ready to cast the rune.

"I mean, do we really need a whole horn?" Ollivander said eyeing the horn, after all, it was a quite rare ingredient and he wanted to make some other wand with it as well, but he never expected Perseus to use if fully.

"You'll see soon." Perseus said as he nodded at Patricia and Ollivander, "Let's do this."

Perseus took the wand that was carved and ready and as he took a knife and sliced his wrist just below where his hands started. Though not deep the blood started flowing as it began flowing to the wood completely covering it as it soon started dripping.

Without wasting any time, Patricia started using the particular rune Perseus had told her to cast which was to compress the horn. Ollivander who was just now realizing what Perseus meant saw the horn getting smaller and smaller in size until it congested into a bright little ball.

Ollivander hurriedly started performing the ceremony as he recited the same small scripture again and again, while at the same time fixing the core into its wand while blood was dripping all over it the wand. The closer Ollivander got, he for the first time saw the ceremony taking place. The blood was getting absorbed into the core and the wood itself as Patricia started making another rune to help the process.

Perseus was eyeing over the whole process, making sure there was no mistake.

"It's done. We need to hurry." Ollivander said, as Patricia quickly started drawing a ruin this time instead of a magical one. She carefully placed the mithril powder, using her one hand and controlled the flow of it with her wand to intricately coat the entire wand in a specific vine-like pattern.

"Done." Patricia said as she stopped.

The wand looked red from all the blood and looked like someone had sprinkled some silver power on top of it. Other than a bloody mess, it didn't look anything special.

But just suddenly all the mithril started absorbing the blood turning the wand all red, as a huge light flashed making everyone blind for a while. They didn't know how long it took but once they could see, they all eyed the wand which was letting out steam. The wand looked normal from any angle you looked at it, the difference being the round ball that had formed near the base of the wand, giving it a handle like structure.

"Sigh! All this for nothing!" Patricia complained as she took Perseus's hand and healed it.

"Of course, it's not for nothing." Perseus said, "Doing this gives me complete alliance from my wand until I die of course. Take it-"

Perseus threw the wand to Patricia as she did what Perseus was eyeing her to do, that was to try a spell. But to her surprise no matter what she did, she couldn't even let out a single spell, not even the basic ones. Irritated Patricia passed the wand back to Perseus.

"Lumos." Perseus said trying his wand for the first time with the most basic of spell.

The tip of the wand shined brightly lighting the entire room, as Perseus bitterly smiled.

'If I had this power before, maybe I could've saved you all.' He thought to himself as for the first time after the wand was made he looked at Ollivander to thank him, only to find the old man frozen with his mouth wide open as if he was dead from shock.

"Old man?--OLD MAN??"
