Ed walks to the baywalk, a canned beer in hand. He was thrown out of the bar he was drinking in as he kept on cursing and crying loud, dried blood all over his face.
He sits by the shore, staring at the moon, drowning himself to the sounds of the waves. He can't believe himself. There he was, all brave and strong, ready to face the reality that he has no love to come back to. But a few minutes of catch up with that one girl of his life broke the walls that he made for himself.
He started reminiscing the past few days.
"It's been a while, Ed!" said Aileen, hugging him tight after he got out of the car she arranged to pick him up from the airport.
"Uhm… yeah! It's been a while…"
"How have you been? I never heard from you since… err… five years ago?"
"Yeah! Five long years" awkwardness came rushing at him. It has really been a long time.
"We better catch up for all those years you've been gone. But first things first, welcome to The Palace. Please enjoy your stay here, okay? I already reserved a room for you here and if ever you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask."
"Ummm… yeah sure! I would love to take a shower first to shrug off the jetlag"
"Oh of course! Silly me!" he waved a bellhop to come near, "Hey Ricky, come over please! This young man here is a good friend of mine. Please help him out with his luggage"
"Ed! This is Ricky. He will help you with your luggage and tour you around if you want to. You can ask him to radio me."

Seeing your first love after many years is downright nostalgic and overwhelming. Allein tried to stop trembling the moment Ed got out of the car but she couldn't. Luckily, her voice didn't tremble as well or it would be awkward.
She could not stop herself from trying to take a glimpse of his face when he smiled at the porter she asked to assist and tour him around. Nevertheless, all these longing feelings must be gone soon as in a few days' time, she would be Mrs. Aileen Estella – Lopez.
Matt has been away for a long time due to a sudden business trip abroad. All of the arrangements for their marriage falls onto Aileen's lap on top of her duties as hotel manager. Moreover, she is yet to decide which flowers and cakes to use for her own wedding. It would have been better if Matt was here.
Hours have passed and it's now afternoon. She has to go to the flowers' supplier. But up 'til now, she hasn't thought of what flowers to use for her bouquet. Well, no time to waste, she has to go or the flowers she would order would be delayed. And she has to go to the bakeshop too for the cake.
Just when she was leaving instructions for her team to do while she was gone for the afternoon, Ed came out of the elevator, all dressed in white. Without thinking it through, she finished off the huddle and went to meet him.
