Reception (2)

14 June, The Venue, City K

About forty minutes later when the photographer was finished taking his photographs at the chapel, Rachael watched as the guests all climbed onto the busses and were driven the short distance to the main reception venue, as John, Bronwyn, and a few people headed towards the chosen spot for a few more photos.

Watching the staff finishing tidying up, Rachael sighed. This had proven she needed to ensure there were event planners employed here. While it had been fun organising the wedding, in part she was being relegated to simply being staff, rather than a guest and friend of the groom. But she knew that this was part and parcel of the career that she had chosen for herself. That was a choice she could not regret because not only did she love the hospitality industry, she enjoyed the fact that she had been able to create a business that also had a real purpose and created hope for people.
