The Dream

"Lena... Lena."

Lena heard a voice calling her name. It sounded sort of like James.

"James! Help!" She cried. She turned around and reached her hand out towards him. But she could not reach him. It seemed as if he was getting further away.

No. He was getting further away. The distance between them was growing, even though they were looking each other in the eyes, unmoving.

"I can't." James said, giving her a dull look. "I don't love you. I love her." He looked towards his side, and Lena's eyes followed. There stood a woman shrouded in black.

James began to walk towards that woman, not looking back at Lena at all.

"No! James! Don't go!" Lena cried. She tried to chase after him, but her feet were rooted in place. "James! Don't leave me!"

James finally turned around to look back at Lena. "Lena, this is Tina, my new fiancée."

"No. No! No! No..." Lena trailed off at the end. Tears were dropping from her eyes, and she felt her knees collapse from under her. She fell to the ground.

She looked back up and tried to see James, but James disappeared. She found herself back in that house that she woke up in before.

"James, where are you? James?" She cried.

"Don't cry." A gentle voice told her from behind.

She whipped around to look at the person speaking, and saw the man from the house.

Puzzled, she stared at him for a moment until he spoke, "Don't worry about James again. You will stay here with me forever..."

"Ahhhhh!" She screamed. She opened her eyes, and could not recognize the surroundings.

'Beep... beep...'

"She's awake!"
