I guess there will be a wedding

Running quickly to the bathroom, Henry came back with a towel. And kneeled in front of Lina to wipe at her wound and see how bad it is.

"Butler Li, get me the first aid kit quick!" Mr Juan Li shouts out the door.

A piece of glass with blood is on the floor. The culprit shard hit the area behind Lina's knee when the glass fell and broke. The exposed part from her leg raised into the coffee table was hurt.

Henry checks her wound to see that it's not too big nor deep. And no remaining glass piece was embedded insided. Butler Li came in with the first aid kit which Henry took and started rummaging inside.

"You need to stop denying the inevitable Lina." Henry tells her softly as he bandaged the wound after putting anti septic on it.

"Catalina, I don't want any more arguments from you." Tomas said with finality on his voice.

"Butler Li, you may leave us now and prepare the food for everybody please. We'll be down shortly." Mr Juan Li said. Once again, silence filled the room. When Henry stood up and closed the kit, Tomas spoke again facing Mr Juan Li.

"We just want what is best for our daughter. If marriage is going to prevent accidents like this from happening, I agree to this. I requested for you to be here, Mr Wu, so we can reach a proper agreement on how this marriage is going to be. Lina is obviously scared of this, as she should understandably be, she doesn't know you." Tomas continued looking at Henry.

"We request that even if you get married soon, you take the time to get to know each other before delving into things a normal married couple would. Please don't have children on the first year of marriage and for her career, keep this marriage a secret, only between us families for now."

"It is unconventional as it is, we don't need people judging both of you while adjusting to your married life. I believe you are good people and decided to put my trust into you and your family but I would like to say this once, please don't hurt our daughter." Tomas ends his request looking at Lina, quietly crying in the sofa.

"I promise to take care of her", Henry simply said.

"We already think of her as our family, please be assured that despite the circumstance we have been introduced, we will take care of Lina. We are all family now." Mr Jian Li promised Tomas and Donghoon.

The fathers shake hands, Donghoon comforting a silent Lina who stopped crying by now and told her. "Let's go down and eat, you'll feel better" he encouraged.

Lina just wanting to get away, nods her head.

"Uncle Tomas, can I speak to you privately." She heard Henry tell her father.

With Mr Jian Li and Donghoon assisting her down to the private dining room filled with people, happily chattering, Lina looked back to see Henry close the door behind him and his father.

When the trio reach the formal dining room, Lina found herself seated near the end of the table and was almost immediately engulfed by her family that just got here.

Amada, her step mother was the last one of their group to hug her.

"Nana, don't worry too much. Don't be too upset on your Mama and Papa, they only want what's best for you. It's not like we're giving you away, we'll still always be here for you." Her gentle hearted Mami whispered to her while she was engulfed in her hug.

Amada is her father's childhood sweetheart. They grew up on Cheilith together, a peaceful country in South America.

Maria and Tomas were never married, they were actually never in a relationship ever. Lina is a product of a drunken tryst when Maria went out partying with her friends when she just finished university in Ethosien, where her father was then playing professional football. Tomas also went out with friends and got drunk trying to get over Amada when they broke up for a while.

Nobody expected me to appear in their lives. Maria was back in Inai already when she found out she's pregnant and Tomas was already happily back together with Amada. Maria's friends that were still in Ethosien searched for Tomas so they can inform him the news of her pregnancy.

Though unexpected, they all felt like a child is always a blessing so all three of them decided for Maria to go through with the pregnancy. Amada was there to help Maria through the pregnancy when Tomas cannot be there. That created a friendship between Maria and Amada that is forged by love to a child.

"Thank you Mami." Lina kisses Amada.

After reassuring everybody she is fine, Donghoon, who automatically sat next to his wife said, "We will have a wedding."

Despite the circumstance of the wedding, the women of the family believes that the wedding is the right thing to do so they have cheered happily. The men, a little more subdued because Lina still has her inhibitions about the wedding.

Maria walked towards her daughter and said, "Trust mama once more, yeah?" as she wiped Lina's unshed tears from her eyes.

Lina understands that she needs to accept her parents' decision or turn she can just turn her back on them, which she doesn't want to do. So as not to dampen everybody's joyous mood, she nodded and smiled.

Sam came in not long after to tell her, "Jenny is coming in soon to help you out. Here's your phone by the way."

"Thanks Sam."

She realized how detached she was from the real world for the past 2 days. She has not even looked at her phone for 2 days or noticed that she hasn't.

She checked her message and missed calls first. She had a few messages from her agent and Jenny to which John replied to already. When discussing her schedule, its sent on a group chat so everybody involved with her daily schedule are aware of any additions or changes. They basically take care of it for her, Lina just shows up where she needs to be most of the time. That's how much she trusts her team and how dependent she is on them.

There's also a message from her best friend telling her to contact him as soon as possible.

Her best friend since she was 10, Park Ki Ha. He's also an actor from Glol. He's an Asian superstar and very famous all over the world even though he hasn't released any international project til date.

Nobody knows they are close, they worked on a drama series last year which was a huge success locally and internationally - specially in Asia. People who see them them together thinks they got closer due to their drama together. Both Lina and Ki Ha prefer to keep it a secret that Lina was actually a match when Ki Ha needed a stem cell donor when they were both 10 years old. They met by accident when Ki Ha ran away from the hospital and they met at the local park where Lina was waiting for Donghoon to pick her up from her football class.

Ki Ha told her his story of being sick for a while and not finding a donor. When Donghoon arrived, they dropped Ki Ha back to the hospital and Lina got tested.

She begged, cried and threw tantrums to be allowed by her parents to donate when she found out she's a match. Long hospital and spoiled brat story short, she did. He got better, and they have been best of friends ever since. With their crazy schedules, they don't see each other a lot but keep in touch constantly.

LINA: HEY, clear your schedule and come to Merisa before Thursday.

KI HA: Why? What happened?

LINA: Can't say right now. Just come ASAP. Ill fill you in when you get.

KI HA: Okay!
