Feeling the blade run across her leg Xelfia recoiled in pain. "A little to close but how did it get here so quickly and unharmed by the fire?" With the level of strength she saw coming from the Statue it shouldn't have the ability to do such a thing. "Unless...Fuck." It was rare and uncommon for most people but when people created puppets or guards to fight for them they could infuse them with different abilities if they wanted to that came from Astral Cores. Xilo didn't teach her much about them but she knew they at least had the ability to hold random abilities so it wouldn't be surprising if the dragons had a teleportation core somewhere lying around that they installed into this statue.
"Well it shouldn't be able to do that all the time..I think."
Striking her fist into the statue all she felt upon impact was slight vibrations as her punch recoiled back to her. "This thing's body is tougher than mine." Now that was something rare but expected from something made of stone. "If we want to beat this thing we need to work together but these stupid flames." Looking at the flames and seeing them still going she didn't know what to do. The statue could constantly switch from her and Xilo while they seemed to be stuck by themselves. If such a pattern continued they would eventually be tired out by themselves and end up losing.
Pushing back one of its sword arms she ducked the other while moving behind it trying to find some kind of weak spot while steadily growing the Nature energy she needed inside her." Maybe if we find a weak spot somewhere we can win." Scanning its back she looked for any area that seemed weaker then the others that they could use to their advantage but she didn't see anything in her quick look before the statue spun around attacking her again.
"Well that didn't work." She wasn't like Xilo who could do that a lot faster than her unfortunately. Forced to take a step back she was a little two slow in dodging both blades and could only dodge one before the second one came rushing towards her. Watching that come straight at her stomach her eyes went wide while she tried to twist her body as much as possible to get out of the way. "To slow." Watching it come right towards her that thought passed through her as it approached her but not before the light sound of tinging ringed in her ears as the arm staggered for a second giving her just enough time to dodge.
"A knife...Where did that come from.....and go?"
Watching a knife bounce to the ground confusion was the only emotion she felt at the moment and seeing it disappear soon after she was almost left baffled but the only person that could help her in this situation was Xilo. Turning her head she looked through the flames to see Xilo standing there with a slight smirk on his face holding the same knife she had just seen. "Well that's new." She had seen his knife before but not long to be able to remember it off sight nor had she seen it teleport like that before. "Must be a part of the ring's ability that I haven't seen." She couldn't see it clearly with all the flames obscuring her vision but she figured his Astral Ring was on his hand at the moment and she was right.
Holding his knife in his left hand Xilo smiled while looking at it along with his ring. "Well that worked better than I expected." Ever since the first time he had seen this ability from his ring he had wanted to try it out and see how it worked but every opportunity until now wasn't the best time to try it out but now that he was forced into a distance it was perfect. "It really works like I hoped. That leaves a lot of room for possibilities." All he had to do was throw his knife and he could recall it back with his will regardless if he could directly see it or not. "Now I just need to figure out the distance but that can wait." Since it worked at this distance already it was good enough.
Now all he had to do was continue to infuse it with his own Dark Astral Energy and constantly attack while it remained stealthed. It may not be as good as him actually entering the fight right now but if the fire wanted to block his path then he was going to do anything he could to help. Though he was worried the fire would damage it at first but the knife was able to hold on thankfully. Most Astral Ring weapons strength was based on the user but they were all incredibly hard to break and the few times they did break it would send recoil through the user and being unusable for a small period of time which was something Xilo was worried about but it seemed he was just over worrying.
Gripping the hilt he got ready to throw it again while Xelfia continued fighting however he had to be slightly careful because if he missed at a crucial moment it might not end well and with the flames partially blocking his vision it might happen. "Just Concentrate XIlo." Seeing the Statue turn its back to him again he let it loose with as much power as he could. "Though I don't know how much damage this is really doing." But that was something he could test in this fight as he watched the blade hit the statue and bounce off again while Xelfia landed another attack due to it staggering a little bit.
Calling it back to him he was just about to throw it again but the second it was about to leave his hand he watched as the flames separating them finally stopped allowing him to get to Xelfia. "Finally." Rushing towards the fight Xilo jumped into Xelfia's section just in time luckily.
*Szzzzz*
Hearing that noise behind him he turned around and watched as the section he was in got completely engulfed in flames and shivered slightly at the sight of so much roaring flames. "Well then." ignoring it he kept a mental note to watch out next time for any signs of that. If either of them got caught in that it would probably be it. "It seemed to activate after the flame wall went down at least. So that's a start." But for now he needed to go and help Xelfia.
"This isn't just a fight it seems, It's a puzzle as well."
